Lived in the west all my life (Mainly St. Albans), never had my house /car/etc broken into or stolen. Never been in a fight or any other trouble, but i guess being 6 foot at age 11 could offer an explanation .Anyway, we are not talking about leaving a Pantera parked on the streets, it appears he has a R33 S2.

Why not get that repaired/re-rolled. There are various places round Melbourne that repair rims, wont hurt to get a quote, doesn't look too bad.

With turbo engines the oil is "abused" more, as it is used as a cooling fluid, thus is subjected to greater heat, which can break down the oil faster. I have never owned a new turbo car so i have never seen the owners manual, but i would be extremely surprised is any manufacturer would recommend service intervals of less than 10,000km. At the end of the day they are only concerned about the car lasting for the duration of the "manufacturer's warrenty".

Do you know that as a fact? Not much differance, mechanically, from a 33 to a 34. I think all manufacturer recommendation states to change oil every 10,000km, but these cars a getting on with age/wear. As a rule of thumb, i would service any turbocharged car every 5,000km. Just my opinion.
