I would go with the two feeds at each end and the return in the middle, but i really doubt this will fix your problem.

High Flow Turbo, Then Detonation Problems......
Al replied to yug_r34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
your problem started when you bought crap from e-bay. There are some good s/h parts you can buy from e-bay, but i would saty way clear of "new" performance parts. -
Help? 700cc Vs 444cc Injectors In R32 Gtr
Al replied to xfixiate's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just buy a set of second hand injectors, get them cleaned and tested and replace all your injectors. That way you will have 4 spares -
Help? 700cc Vs 444cc Injectors In R32 Gtr
Al replied to xfixiate's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Why bother wasting money. Stock GTR injectors can support round 300rwkw. Replace the 2 stuffed ones with stockies.. But i would definately hook up that Pfc and get it tunned, it would be a different car when you get it back, especially if you turn up the boost a little -
I totally disagree with this statement... I currently have an rb25 hi-flow turbo, with the VG30 ext. housing. Although I am very happy with the end power (274rwkw @ 15psi on a 33deg day, non shoot-out), I am far from happy with the lag, hence the reason why I am now looking at purchasing a HKS GT-RS. Also I am having problems with compressor surge at light throttle/heavy load. This fault does not happen to all high flows, mainly the ones with the roller-bearing cores and the biggest sierra-sierra wheels. Basically at certain rpm and throttle position, the turbo is producing too much compressed air for the engine to digest, so it bounces back into the turbine. In conclusion; HKS spend soooo much $$$$'s in R&D and produce a complete turbo that is engineered for a specific purpose. When it comes to hi-flows, wheels are taken from another turbo, placed in a foreign housing that have been machined/modified to allow clearances for fitment and "slapped" together. There is no way near the R&D as a specifically designed turbo, thus things like response, efficiency, etc are compromised. A HKS 2530, 2535, 2540, GT-RS will shit all over a hi-flow, under any condition. Peak power really doesn't mean shit (unless your goal is to be dyno king); it's all about a broad range of usable power. If you can't afford a new HKS turbo than a hi-flow is a great option, just accept that it is purely a compromise. Below is a dyno graph of my rb25 hi-flow with a VG30 ext. housing. Note at what rpm full boost is achieved.

Not interested is "seeing" the crack. Just would like to view the shape of the manifold and a small circle where the manifold usaully cracks. A flexi pipe or slip joint pip sometimes helps, but are mainly required for east-west mounted engines. Solution may be as simple as adding a couple of solid supports, from the face plate to the flange. This will release some of the load, of the turbo and pipe, off the manifold runners.

I am quite surprised that for someone that is really into learning how to race/drive will not consider go-kart racing. I always thought this was one of the best first steps to getting into the sport. You will find that competitors with previous karting experience will be alot faster than someone who just jumps into "motorsport". From your opening post, it sounds like you have not been behind the wheel before. These quotes really confirm my opinion; "I want to learn how to drive" or "i know how to drive (i think?), but only an auto." I suggest you get into competitive go-karting, and trust me they go MUCH faster than your average hire karts, learn the lines of a track, where to brake, where to accelerate, how to correct the kart, etc. Once you have won a championship, in your own class, move on. Once you are in the sport you will have a better idea where to go next.

As stated previously, i forgot my camera at home , so we have to wait till Dave gets back from his honeymoon.
-
Do you have a decent Pic? Until we know what it looks like an where it is cracking a solution would be hard to advise.

Hope they cleaned all the ic pipes and the ic itself

So what does that $1200 screen show you?

Would like to congratulate Dave and Ana (Both SAU Vic members) on tying the knot yesterday (11/03/06). As usually the bride and groom where looking stunning on the day. Day started very early for myself, with Gavin from Xtremeline car detailing (0407 559770) being at my house from 5:45am, to give the car a complete makeover. By 9:30am the car looked a million buxs, both inside and out . Then went to Dave's house to meet him and his 6 (it's a wog thing ) grooms men for the usually morning photo shoot. B4 the photographer came, we managed to fit the wedding ribbons on both Skylines and positioned them face to face, in front of his house. Once the photographer was finished, with numerous shots of the guys and cars in the background, Dave "reminded" him that pics of the cars, "alone", where required . We then jumped in the cars and darted through the city to get to the church on time. It was only a short wait b4 we all went inside and Ana and her bride’s maids walked down the aisles. Mass was pretty emotional, with Ana running out of tissues before the mass ended . Priest was good; at times spoke pretty fast and I was half expecting a bov noise, after each sentence . Once mass was finished, more photos where taken of the bride and groom. We then parted our ways, till it was time to really celebrate at the reception centre! Dave and Ana I wish you both an eternity of love and happiness. Hope you have a safe and great honeymoon and we will catch up once you both get back. PS: They will not see this thread till next week, as they flew out this morning. Unfortunately, in my morning haste I forgot to take my camera, so we have to wait for Dave to post up the pics .

Skyline Parts Garage Sale
Al replied to SkyPat's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Unfortunately this sit is NOT E'bay, if you want to auction them off i suggest you go to the ebay site. As per forum rules, please specify price and negotiate from there. -
Not wanting to sound "un-Australian", but the games are going to be a biggest pain in the butt. Traffic is going to be absolute caos, and catching a tram carrying tools, parts and weights, to attend a site is a high probability GO AUSSIES!!, but i can't wait till it's over..............
-
Use a Skyline Pics look pretty damn good, but i know jack about photography

I'd prefer to beleive that you throw like a sissy and couldn't aim to hit the side of a wheat barn if you tried. It is more likely that you did hit the glass as there are motion sensors just near the "Jesus handles".

So the truth finally comes out..............I have never known my alarm to be that sensitive, where was it hit? PS: Relax i am not pissed, just would like to know.

Nicely said Ash. Also....... At the end of the day, no matter how much "experience" you may have, you still don't know what the other cars around you are going to do. So PLEASE keep it safe, especially in residential areas, in traffic, on major roads, and most importantly round school zones. We all bought our cars to enjoy them, but as stated numerous times, there is a time and place and when either one is wrong the enjoyment ends very suddenly and it may even become a burden (not just talking financially). Stay safe, keep alert and see you all at future events.

I found Bob Jane, Watergardens (Taylors Lakes), one of the cheapest places. I purchased my Hankook K107s for $320ea and that's in 19", so i dare say that 17" would easily fall under the $250ea mark. I have been using Hankooks for the last 4yrs and found them to be a great cheapish tyre.

Damn you got a good eye! I looked at that pic several times b4 posting and never noticed her Only once you mentioned it i looked for her twin.
-
Not many pics as i was too busy driving, drinking and sleeping I have a few nice ones of the rocks but they have already been posted.
-
WOW! What great pics will post mine up soon

Nate take you petty opinions to the 31 forum, as we REALLY are tired of your BULLSHIT. Every damn thread you try and turn into a 31 Vs 33 bitchfight. I am sure if the majority of Skyline owners thought the same way you do they would have bought the cheaper car. At the end of the day this is a Skyline forum and if you can not appreciate other peoples cars, then simply f**k OFF! DAMN KEYBOARD WORRIER. Build a bridge and GET OVER IT!!
