    Track Days?

no. You just need a cams licence and its enough that you are a happy and dedicated SAU member cheers
  2. Exactly! I treat DECA as a fun/drift/thrash day. It was my intention to do this DECA properly, i even left my new, $660, 400km old, tyres on the rear; but as soon as i went "WD" on the first run (because someone made me go first), i said fark it. Then just wanted to do what i do best!
  3. 15hr shifts, that sucks!! Unless you have a 5hr break in between, like my mate use to, when he worked at a particular restaurant.
  4. Congrats Ryan!!!! It's good to see the 4wd's kicked off the pedestal. Top effort Che!! I'm proof that power does not achieve better results. In fact the more power i have the worse i get; In the first year of DECA i came 4th overall, since then it has been spin-outs and burnouts
  5. Thanks guys for the vids, they look awesome! Thanks also for taking the time to process them.
  6. Just realised that i haven't updated my results. Officially the engine is now out flowing the turbo, but i will not change the combo for anything. Below is my full tune as it stands now. The car has been booked in for next week to get the following done: - Change exhaust and see if any gains are made. Currently i have the more quiet exhaust fitted and would like to compare this result with the Apexi cannon exhaust system i have laying around. - Play with my cam gears. I still have VVT active, but have modified the std gear to also be adjustable. - Clean up the afr. Dips too low up in the higher rev range. - Play with the boost settings, to come on harder on high boost. - Most important: Find a pair of tyres that will hold traction on the dyno. So far i have tried 4 different pairs of tyres and all have lost traction on full boost at high rpm. I have tried: Hankook K104's, Bridgestone RE55s, Toyo T1R's and another pair of cheap ass tyres from another 33. Anyone know of a good pair of dyno tyres????
  7. Agreed My mechanic welds all his ic pipe lips and i have never had a pipe blow off. He has also run up to 34psi on his dyno r33 and Drag Vl; using the general worm drive style clamps
  8. Must be different owners. He had no issue with mine and actually commented how many Kaaz diffs they do.
  9. These guys installed my Kaaz 1.5way diff, a few years ago; no complaints. I just took the housing and diff to them, as my mechanic was working on other things on the car. My mechanic uses these guys regularly.
  10. Thanks Kaz and Bec I accept.
  11. Always happy to please the crowd ......................................................That's my excuse and i'm sticking with it. All that smoke and yet no pics
  12. Hey Vince we grabbed it at the end of the day, after most people had left, and took it back to the motel only to find no-one there had left it. I had no room to put it in my car, for the drive home, so i gave it to Leon (username: Achoo), Wayne's (Rchoo) brother inlaw, as he had a ute and trailer. I also guessed that most entrants were from the east side, so would be better for an east sider resident to take it, looks like i was right . Get in touch with Leon (Achoo) and you'll be able to sort out the details.
  13. They sit very nice on the car. Later down the track, if you get "bored" of the look, consider painting/powder-coating the rims either white, black or charcoal, it will give the car a fresh look. Did it with my rims and never looked back.
  14. But on the same dyno. To back up the claimed figure it needs to be run on another dyno. Like mine made 274@EAS, 268@Racingline (SAU VIC Dyno day) and 272@Autosalon. Thus i know my mechanic's dyno is relatively accurate.
  15. I'm with Ash; sounds like he was on a happy dyno or the settings were incorrect. Did he ever back the power claim on an independent dyno? I made 274rwkw with cams and head porting. This figure was also reproduced on two other dynos, so i dare say it was accurate. With E85 i could see the GTRS making 280+rwkw on a std motor.
  16. Yet another great weekend!! What happens in Shep stays in Shep BIG THANKS TO ALL THE ORGANIZERS AND VOLUNTEERS!!!!
  17. Great pics Ferah!
  18. Congrates Hamish; both on the tune and of the car, looks awesome
  19. I actually don't really mind that bar, not my style, but i have seen alot worse. No idea what it is though.
  20. Problem with threads like these is you only hear one side of the story and that's why they should/will get closed and deleted. How people can judge a w/shop from one person's bad experience, is beyond me. Delays could be due to a delay in parts arriving, a delay in payment for parts, holidays, "mates rates" (thus gets second priority), etc, etc. I know a lot of members that swear by Creatd; every w/shop has it's 20+ good stories for it's one bad story.
  21. I'd sooner fit an RB30et than down grade to the torque/response of the rb20det. This is going to stir up alot of shit from those who worship the rb20's......................... *suits up for the possible flaming*
  22. Circuits look GREAT!!! So many places i could spin out and do my usual, not that i mean to spin out I am so looking forward to this weekend
  23. Only makes the rb30 battle a little fairer You're still bringing the GTR; 4wd or not, right? 38'C on Friday's drive up. So i (hopefully) fixed my aircon leak and filled up the gas today :bannana: With any luck my a/c will still be working properly for the scorching drive up.
  24. If i was a G33K i would know how to use the ipod properly and it wouldn't have occurred. think about it.............................................................................. ................................................................................. .............................................
  25. How the fark did that get posted 3 times? Damn stupid Ipod
