  1. With rb25's the stock BOV generally leaks at about 16psi. This of course is not a written rule, as with age the spring may get soft. Why not do a run with the BOV blocked. Generally not a good idea for permanent use, but i'm sure a couple of runs on the dyno would be ok.

    Series 1 Spoiler R33

I have a burgundy one with all LEDs working, if you are interested PM me.
  3. I was suppose to work at Calder last night, in the "Credentials Office", but the night was cancelled Apparently the storms, on the previous night, caused a mud slide (from the newly laid foundations) and the track was covered with dirt, etc. Had my helmet and shirt in the car, to have a couple of runs, once i had finished work. Oh well, have to wait till next year
  4. Happy b'day buddy!!
  5. This is probably the most damaging solvent that has been mentioned. Try the others first.
  6. Oh well my theory was right, just not the method.. I would have thought that the timing would be retarded.
  7. Well if people supply full contact details to the moderators, i'm sure they could fit him in
  8. Not what i wanted to see Hope you are OK. More justification of my decision to stay off the track, after i just completed fixing the car up from a very similar accident, at Calder Park. All the best, i'm sure she will be better than b4.
  9. Well i would think that it is not called fuel cut either, as the last thing a manufacturer would do is lean the fuel mixtures at high rpm. ECU detects high boost level and cuts the ignition, so technically it is an ignition cut  Read the first post carefully: Fault does not occur until he keeps the revs at a certain rpm, then pokes the throttle. If it was plugs or coils, the spark would break down when he is driving the car hard, not only when using this techneque.
  10. Go to your local import wreckers, or look through the SAU classifieds for anyone that is dismantling a R33. Not sure about the VL part though, could be possible.
  11. Boost cut? Just a theory: When you are at a constant 5000rpm the turbo is well on boost, then the jab of the throttle causes the turbo to spike, engaging the ecu to activate the boost cut. Not sure if i am just spinning shit , but i have also felt that if i keep the revs at 4000rpm, in 2nd, then poke the throttle, the response is so much greater and the arse end steps out harder. I do not have any problems though, but my car is not exactly standard .
  12. Dave; Sorry to do this but i am working at Calder Park on Friday , just found out on Saturday.
  13. Hope to see complete pics soon and a list of mods
  14. Dezz: Driving a R33 gts-t has been illegal (on P's) for at least 10 years, as these power to weight laws where around well b4 i got my P's, 10years ago. Other Skylines are also illegal, to dive with P's, but as stated b4, in the last 6yrs cops have not really enforced this law. 10yrs ago you would have been "taken to the cleaners" for driving V8's, let alone our hi-powered turbo engines, which in most cases are housed in a lighter body.
  15. Dezz, the law already applies to you because most Skylines are already illegal to dive with P's. Once the new laws are passed, the cops will be acting on them and enforcing the old ones. The police have been very lax in enforcing the power to weight laws, but wait and see what happens once a bit of media attention, on the laws, occurs.
  16. Did the crime do the time............. enjoy!
  17. Bass Junky is not running a GT30, he has a GCG hi-flow with a VG30 ext housing. I am also running the same turbo, with Tomei Poncams (256 duration[r33]) and head porting. Car made 270rwkw@15psi, on a new dyno dynamics dyno, tunning mode. Externally engine looks stock, apart from fuel reg (but that's also hard to spot). My engine also started to ping higher in the rev range, this was solved by pulling timing out in that effected area only. Mafia have you considered cams or even a descent head porting? This will definately release the true potential of the turbo. Honestly, with the fuel, i think that your car is not too bad, but when you have your mind set on a figure i guess you will feel disappointed. All the best Al

    New Clutch

You do realise that "one of Ben's H/D clutch's" is simply a Xtreme 9-puck H/D clutch . Yep had one of these fitted, by EAS Performance, about 2 months ago and it is absolutely awesome, just as you discribed.

    Not Enough Power

I would have thought that with R34 N1 turbos you would have no chance of reaching 300rwkw, unless you were running some rediculas boost, say 28psi , and this will probably be past their efficience range. A descent set of cams would probably solve the problem
  20. Sorry got my reserviors mixed up , but it's always good practice to check all fluids
  21. I know that CAMS are currently processing the forms, as i received a call from them, asking if i was an Australian citizen, guess i forgot to tick that box
  22. Happy B'day Buddy! Don't work too hard today
  23. Sorry to all club members and fellow committee members for not attending. Unfortunately I had other duties that I committed to and could not break . I am a bit bewildered why a thread like this has not been posted in the last 24hrs, especially for such a large event. So that went on and how was the day's events? Pics would also be great
  24. If you have an aftermarket steering wheel, that's probably your problem. or Check the Hicas fluid level in the boot. Do a search, plenty of threads on this topic.
