What experience have you had with the Wolf? I've had mine for 3yrs and have had no real issues with it and I know of others with the same result. You are probably one of those clowns that regurgitate what others have said because the tuner was hopeless. My mechanic has become quite proficient with the Wolf 3D and has extracted as much power, if not more, out of an engine as one would with a PowerFC, and yet keep the engine safe. Unfortunately there are some tuners out there that can only tune one type of ecu, and have the audacity to label all others as shit. So you continue to be sheep and join your flock, but don't talk down a brand without an explanation why you have such views.
  2. Did ya start you car while his hand was in there?
  3. Damn your quick! Was about to offer to have a look at your ecu, then the next post i read you have already fixed it, i was like WTF! Glad to hear your baby is back on the road. See ya on the road soon, my car may hopefully be finished by the long weekend. B)
  4. YES, they are spherical. Just read the complete thread and make your own decision whether they are suitable for road use. Note, they appear to be chrome plated and alot of people here would agree, that chrome plating is very bad for suspension parts, as they weaken the material and also hide cracks in the metal. I personally would not use them.

Wolf 3D is also a great alternative to Power fc. It all depends where you get your car serviced and who you trust to tune your ecu properly and safely.
  6. Great news! Congrates, i'm sure she'll keep ya honest
  7. I know a good auto elec in Sunshine, but you mentioned you wanted someone mobile. If you want i could come over and we could both go over the car. I am not an auto elec, but i am free and willing to help. You may have missed something obvious, easy to do when stressed . Anyway, give me a call if you like. 0427 076490
  8. Hey Paul, what where you doing/playing with at the time of the failure?
  9. THANKS Gary, really appreciate your help. Unfortunately i do not know my spring rates or the specs for my coil-overs. Coil-overs are made in Australia, by a Melbourne manufacturer called "Hot Bits", unfortunate name, but i am very pleased with the coil-over. I was considering adjusting my sway bars, now i will. At present the front is set to the stiffest holes and the rear is set to the softest. I will adjust the front by moving one hole back on EACH side, and adjust the rear by moving one hole forward on ONE side. I have raised the car twice already and it sits above legal hight, with the 19's (i use 17's with RE55s for track days). May consider a third raise, as the 17's still manage to somehow rub the inner liner on hard cornering. Thanks again!
  10. EAS Performance Contact: Vic Ph: 93302001 Add: 11 Victory Rd, Airport West. Have taken my car there for the past 5yrs and have no intension to go elsewhere. He has done all the work on my car, from mechanicals to suspension. PM me if you have any questions.
  11. Just a question "from the left field".... This topic has mainly discussed the advantages of rubber/poly bushes over spherical bearing for road use, in relation to camber adjustment. My car is 98% road use, with the occational track day. What are the views on spherical bushes for caster adjustment? I have the full Whiteline "handling pack" and a couple of extra bushes that are not included in the kit. I am happy with my camber adjustment but my car is still understeering, on track days, and have been considering purchasing the Cusco caster adjustable arms. How are these on the road? I realise they are not legal, but neither is any other worthwhile mod on our Skylines. But are they safe? Are they prone to cracking and excessive wear (as mentioned for the camber arms)? Will they damage or cause undue stress on the chasis?
  12. Ash, you must have had a good day today Normally this would have been closed, moved or deleted or all of the above

    Teh Gtr Can Lose!

Now are you compairing the GTR to the STI OR are you comparing the driving skills of Snowball to Blaise. If the latter, you have a fair arguement But if you are compairing cars, i wish to nominate Ben, Crazy Frank or Aaron to fly the GTR flag. As either of these guys, in their cars, are much better skilled and have seconds off Blaise's lap times . Not to mention they have deeper pockets
  14. You bet me to it Ronin. Just to not mislead anyone: - R33 gts-t clutches are push type and Gtr clutches are pull (Not interchangable) - A new pair of clutch plates are about $900, this does not include the machining of the plates in between the clutch plates or labour, i know as my friend just did his a week ago. Don't mean to upset anyone, but facts have to be stated.
  15. We are organising a cruise through the Great Alpine Road, starting at Wangaratta and finishing at Bairnsdale.

  17. Nengun usually takes about 5-6 weeks to deliver from time of payment.
  18. Where did you hear that! You are responsible for your own driving and any fines that you incur. The ppl that handle the camera fines will always issue a fine in hope that all ppl will pay with questioning it (revenue raising ). I know of ppl that have been fined for speeding or red light cameras while being professionally towed . If you do get something in the mail, don't panic, insist on the photo and sort it out then. From your explanation and diagram you should be fine.

  21. The best product to use is probably "SHELLITE", should be able to find it in most supermarkets near the metho. Metho has a brown label, Shellite has the blue label. I use it at work to remove sticky labels, off the label printers. Doesn't react with the plastic, etc.
