  3. Anyone willing to give me a lift to the bbq, PLEASE My car is at the w/shop and I really prefer to cruise in with a Skyline I live in Delahey, near Taylors Lakes, but will be happy to drive to a person's house. Shotgun seat only , as I sat in the back of my 'line and said never again. My mobile is: 0427 076490, just drop us an sms and i will get in touch. Thanks Alan
  4. Why only do exhaust cam and not inlet cam as well? Or are you only talking about cam gears?

The third party on your rego is PUBLIC LIABILITY insurance, it does not cover other ppl's cars or property. I also beleive that 3rd party insurance should be made law. Do it like Europe, you have to present a current insurance policy when paying rego.
  6. Not sure, but i had a mechanic do 2 consecutive runs, one in "shoot out" mode, the other "normal", their was only a 4rwkw differance btw the two. Also we did a run in 4th, the 3rd and there was only a 2rwkw differance. Provided the tunner is honest and tell the dyno the run is in third
  7. Robo: How much power are you running?
  8. That's a top effort! Well remind me to line up behind you, as i am hopeless at drag racing , but occationally like to have a punt. I much prefer track work, as my car has been set up for that .
  9. Yes and no............... Ideally you should only have air in you ic piping. Having enough oil to leak at the joint means you car has excessive blow-by and is not at it's healthiest. The oil will also be going into you intake system, thus causing you to loose power. 1/ Fit a big catch can (oil/air separator). 2/ Remove all ic piping and fmic, then clean them thoroughly. 3/ Start saving.......
  10. You may "say" you're joking, but it is probably true. A while ago I was running ecu, stock turbo, 13psi, and usual mods. On my mechanic's dyno it made a solid 183rwkw and felt strong. A week later I went to a dyno day and it made 214rwkw (same fuel, etc). Now that was a joke, dynos are only good as a tunning tool. On dyno days it is good to compare your car to others, as they are all run on the same dyno, by the same driver, on the same day. That is the only time you can compare figures, otherwise a peak power comparison ain't shit. The Mafia: So once you upgrade your turbo, take it to the same dyno and compare and evaluate the result, but don't be disappointed if you take it to another dyno and "mysteriously" loss 30rwkw.
  11. Robo: Are you planning that high 11/low 12 on street legal rubber or drag slicks? What power are you getting with the 2535? My car wont be ready for a few weeks still . With my new combo i am capping the power at about 260rwkw, i have been told that it should make about 280rwkw, but i have a std bottom end and would like to keep it in one piece for a little while .

Sure does Dezz. Just my opinion, if anyone could afford a Skyline of any type, they should always get, at the VERY least, 3rd party fire and theft. If you can't afford this, you can't afford to maintain it, thus you can't afford to keep the car.
  13. Give me some early notice and i will come down too, would like to see how i go with the latest mods.

  15. Best take it to a mechanic
  16. Purple XA coupe is my mate's . Car is awesome, especially when you consider he finished it 9yrs ago. I pick, speed, handling and braking any day
  17. Hose is connected to the turbo actuator, has to be air . Unless there is something drastically wrong, then this will be the least of his problems
  18. Unless you do a few track days, or it's playing up,i suggest you leave it on. I have locked mine with a Tomie Hicas Locking Kit.
  19. Mine has it as well, it is mounted inside one of the U-shaped brackets that supports the parcel shelf at each end. Never was too concerned what it is, just thought it to be another unit of some sort.
  20. It would be nice to post prices, as per forum rules .
  21. If you have an aftermarket ecu, why did they not tune it better and remove the lean part.
  22. Have you just recently boosted up the turbo with that bleed valve? Is the car running at your desired boost level (not over boosting)? If boost is at the level you set, it is the blue bleed valve that is bleeding/leaking air out to make the extra boost, very normal . If you are unsure replace the hose connected to the actuator and bleed valve
  23. Does a 1-way mechanic LSD, act in a similar manner to the std viscious LSD, with regards to street drivability?
  24. As mentioned above, the rb25 did come out in the last of the 32's (was improved for the 33's). Your interior has blue gadges, which indicate a early model 32, you never know what these crazy Japs do when modifing their cars .
