Don't bother Hamish; As if suspension and tyres are important for drags. This kid knows it all man, he has driven a Ferarri, so he must be a race car driver!! WOW I just want his signature, he's sooooo cool! Pffft... You bring that Ferarri and a $1000 to the next Calder meet and we see who walks away with 2g's, but make sure you know how to drive, wouldn't want to damage the walls at Calder and delay other competitors from racing

So you are saying that Dezz's car with a GTRS, injectors, 18psi, etc is really only making 218rwkw. Only 10-20rwkw more than most R33's with std turbo; i really don't think so Or my setup, that is maxing out a 500hp turbo can only produce 284rwkw; highly unlikely. The dyno is very low reading, but what i thought was consistent, so not all is lost as you can still compare mods to rwkw, between other cars. Just for the record, with my previous setup, it was dynoed on 3 different dynos (EAS, Autosalon and Racingline) and the 3 read-outs were within 7rwkw of each other. So i am very confident that the EAS dyno is reading accurately. Maybe it was the way they strapped some of the cars down. My car was strapped that hard that the tyres were well into the guards. This does not allow the car to "climb" onto the front roller and thus will lose traction. With some other cars, the guy running the dyno kept re-adjusting the straps, not sure why he didn't do that with mine as he even commented that the car kept losing traction and the graph clearly shows that at 5300rpm. The other guys that did most the strapping really had little idea, as the main guy kept fixing the straps, when he cbf'd.

Unfortunately a fair few members will still be DECA Shepparton this weekend

Absolute GOLD!!!!

Hey Danielle, Saw you pull in, was talking to a few friends at the time , then when i went back inside to say hi you were already in your car and started to leave. Good to see the car on the road again!

Oh sorry, Get a 800hp China Monsta turbo, stick it on a ebay manifold, then get a manual bleed valve and crank the psi as high as you can and then go and do sick doughies at your local maccas. Almost forgot; you also need to block the bov, because the dose is fully sick and adds another 60rwkw. Make sure you turn on the neons as the light heats up the air under the car, thus creating less drag, and a few stickers on the doors are great for another 20rwkws too. Then you could paint the engine bay pink to match your frock, lippy and high heels. Fully hektic bro!!

1/ Driver training days 2/ Good set of coil-overs 3/ Upgrade sway-bars and get adjustable Whiteline bushes, etc. 4/ More driver training 5/ Good quality tyres - No cheap shit $200ea tyres 6/ Slotted rotors, performance brake pads, braided brake lines, Motol brake fluid 7/ More driver training You may think you know how to drive and how to control your car, but trust me you don't

Thanks Ferah Had a great day and a good drive. Hope to catch up with everyone again soon.

The dyno was reading about 40rwkw lower than "normal". Some one tried to explain that this dyno was "accurate", but quickly stopped when i asked him to explain how my mechanic's dyno, the Autosalon dyno and Racingline dyno all produced the same figures when i ran my car, with the previous setup. Hard to believe that everyone else's dyno is inaccurate . At the end of the day you know it's about 40rwkw lower, but it still a good day because the reading were consistent and you can compare your mods and power to others. Was a great day and good to see such a decent turn out.

No Dezz, it's on the Calder Hwy, just after you pass the Calder Park Rwy.
-
No, but is alot better. Less dusty, more people walking through, better view of the track and closer to toilets/food/stage/etc.
-
Looking promising Ferah, hope to see you all there.

The rb25 boxes are just as strong as the GTR boxes. Whoever told you the GTR boxes are unbreakable is incorrect, just as Jack who has busted 3 or Chris who as done 1, and a few other people. Yes they are one of the strongest factory boxes ever produced but they can break.

Yep, i'll be in again this year. Have been in touch with Alisa myself and was confirmed that the display will be on the golf course as in '07. Being Autosalon, there would be a "standard" of modification that is required to enter.

RB25 gearbox mate
-
My mate (Malcolm) had the same issue, with his XA Coupe; secure parking with cameras, etc, parked between other expensive cars etc, yet Shannons said no. So now he is with LSV: 1300 369 769 Tell them you have been with Shannons, etc.

I'll be there and entered mate! And if it's anything like mine, it will be absolutely awesome. Are you up for a car swap?

The track is kept wet for the most part, but would obviously dry a little till the water truck came round again. I actually stopped the water truck till after i finished my turn, just found that my car had no problems loosing traction . Events: - 180' handbrake turn - 360' skidpan round a tight radius - Left hand drift - Linked Right and Left drift - Right hand drift. The order depends on the group you are in, but it's all fun
-
You need to understand this very clearly: It's called a Drift TRAINING Day. So you are not "let free on the track". Having said that i found the day absolutely awesome and wish i had the time/funds to enter again. Learnt a few things and wouldn't mind a refresher course. If you want to learn the basic principals of drift, this is great. Otherwise you need to go to a VIC Drift day @ Winton. The Photo CD from Jarrod is totally worth it!!!

This is NOT a 1/4 mile drag car, it is perfectly set-up for circuit/street. Having said that it would definitely pull some great times at the drags
-
Not sure what i am doing on Sunday, but i will definitely keep this in mind.

I think you're over due for another drive of my car Troy, just to jog the memory banks . It's a little different than when you drove it during the "run-in tune", that's pretty much my low boost now; high boost unleashes an angrier beast . Still have some more "tuning experiments" that i want to try, to see if she has more in it, should be sorted in a few weeks. ie: Apexi exhaust, adjustment of inlet and exhaust cam gears, etc.

EDIT: Now staying both nights
