  1. I cbf quoting a few points, so i will just state my opinion on a couple of issues raised and hopefully you know what i am refering to. 1/ At 14psi i honesty do not think you will reach 250rwkw, i think you may require about 18psi. 2/ Suspension plays a big part in drag racing, and if you want a decent 1/4mile time, raise your car (temporarily) to at least std height, this will allow your suspension to have maximum travel. If you have Jap coil-overs then that is a disadvantage, as even on their softest setting they are usally too hard. Remove any strut bracing or roll cage, etc, This will allow the chasis to flex on take off and transfer more weight to the rear wheels. 3/ If you drive like a 40yr old (casual driving style, with the occational squirt, and the rare flogging) then yes, your std motor MAY last 80,000km@250rwkw with std eng, if it hasn't had a hard flogging b4 all these upgrades. But if you like having "fun" and give it heaps every other day, it may only last a week/month/year: Who knows?, just be prepared to build it properly if it decides it's had enough. 4/ MRT, are they the guys that entred Vic. Dutton with a red VY commerdore and a crazy fuel cell set-up in the boot?
  2. How cares? If you cbf make the list and post it here  Just rock up and enjoy the day, the weather is looking tops.

Thanks buddy. Na, colours have not been chosen as the concrete has just recently been poured and garden has not yet been fully landscaped. I am glad they have no intensions in putting a veggie patch .
  4. The purple 32gtr, in the background, looks tasty
  5. Good on him! If he was quick enough to be the first person to spot a bargin and then smart enough to make a $7k profit, in a very short time, good luck to him. Having not read his ad, I just hope he/she did not bs to the person that bought the car. Also details can be obtained after the car is bought.

  8. Kym if you are going to be that -ve about the cruise and fellow Skyline owners, best stay home. Our previous cruises have been very well behaved, unlike other clubs, we have a very good reputation. This will be your first SAU VIC cruise, so come along and reserve your judgement till after the cruise.
  9. This was great last year, and will be better this year! This is only a SAU forum and Skyline owners cruise, no outsiders. ie: Open to all SAU forum users and Skylines owners, not just SAU VIC members. See ya all there!
  10. Not sure if Stagea is the same as a 33GTR, but a member in Vic pulled the fuse and didn't disconnect the front shaft, resulting in a stuffed transfer case. Still worked but he stated that it felt worn/sluggish afterwards, he obviously wasn't a happy man. This was done about 18 (if not more) months ago, it never was the same, so he just got it reco'ed recently.

I wouldn't buy cutting compound just for the headlights. I've heard braso, silvo, etc., also work, but i have never tried it myself using such products.
  12. Just ensure all your suspension is straight and tru, otherwise it will be a prick to drive, let alone drift. A FMIC would also be advisable for drifting
  13. Sounds great Carl, buthow does it feel when not launching and driving "normally". Does it come on boost much sooner, is the power more progressive/violent/same but sooner?

The first time i cleaned the headlights i used a light cutting compound followed with car polish. Ever since then i just polish the lights when i could be farked polishing the car. I still haven't washed the car since b4 DECA, Shepparton , let alone polishing it. My rims looked like "pizza cutters" inside his gaurds, we took pics but only side on, where you can't see the depth.
  15. Thanks Paul, actual b'day is on Wed. 24th

  17. YOU WEAK SAUCE!Great night, had a ball! Unfortunately there were alot of missing faces PLEASE EXPLAIN!
  18. I didn't go through Nengun this time as there is a Melbourne supplier that imports these parts and was only $60 more expensive. Using Nengun you run a gamble with customs charging tax, as with RMS Motor Parts the price is final. Part Discription: Tomei - Pon Cam Shafts ECR33 Series 1 (RB25DET) - Duration: IN,EX 256 Lift: IN,EX 8.5mm Code: 143020 RMS Motor Parts Unit 3, 662 Whitehorse Road, Mitcham, VIC 3132 Phone: 03 9872 6669 Fax: 03 9872 6697 Website: www.rmsmotorparts.net
  19. I think if you take it to court there is still a good chance you will get a reduced fine, but even with this reduced fine you may receive 1 dimerit point, which will cancel your licence anyway. You have admitted to us that you know you where in the wrong, but only you know how far in the wrong you were , so ask yourself is this a fair fine. With regards to probation or loss of licence for 3 months, that is also something you have to ask yourself. Are you able to resist the temptation to speed, run that yellow light, and all the other infringments that will cause you to break the probation, knowing that the next cop to pull you over will check your records and have no hesitation in issuing the fine, due to your previous record. Personally i wouldn't risk it and accept the 3 month loss. Or go on probation and find yourself a shitty car to drive for 12 months and leave the 'line in the garage.
  20. Great, let us know how you go... Nick: Your money is never my concern, so buy us a set and while you are at it pay for my dyno tune. Thanks buddy!
  21. Carl well done buddy! I just placed an order for a set of these cams, 2 days ago . In two weeks car goes in for cams, head porting, VG30 ext. upgrade on hi-flow RB25 turbo and tunning. Really would like to read (and see via dyno sheet ) how the cams effected drivability. I am hoping they wil give me more low/mid range power and torque, also that they allow the turbo to boost up quicker. Is it worth getting adjustable cam gears with Tomei cams?
  22. What you got against Sunbury ppl? Not that i am one
  23. In your car or the work car? One thing to drive there for work, another to be bothered for pleasure. Hell, i'm going past there on my way to Narrandera (5hrs from Melbourne), tomorrow. Using my company car, so it's all good.
  24. All cars are ADR complient from show room, i really think ppl are just talkin shit. I don't think cops are silly enough to take on car manufacturers, on what is legal and what isn't.
  25. As if Denham will drive down to Winton I'll just be waiting for the excusses, he's already mentioned the springs
