  1. Don't forget Macedon, when the locals complained about too much traffic congestion and noise . Cops were very good about the whole thing, we did have 54 cars B)
  2. Same old story; "i want to cruise but i don't want to drive anywhere, petrol is too expensive" Just organise to go round your block a few times, with your mates
  3. You mentioned that you can find 25 profile on a 295 wide tyre. Do you know that the sidewall profile is a percentage of the width and not an actual measurement? ie:The wider the tyre the lower the profile to acheive the same rolling diametre. It's nice to say "yep they'll fit mate, you can even get bigger" but make sure that you have experience or knowledge in the advice you give.
  4. 1/ I know 2/ Are such tyres legal? And do ppl actually drive on these low, low, low profile tyres? 3/ We are not talking about FORDS, the topic specifically states R33, keep to the topic
  5. Scotsman's twin plate is actually EXCEDY
  6. SO what profile do you have on YOUR 19's?? My rims are 19x8 all round. My tyre profile is 245/35/19, and this has a 1inch bigger rolling diametre than std wheels. So to put his (and your) theories into math; after doing a few simple calculation, you will need to have the following profile to have the same rolling diametre: 245/25/19. Are tyres available with a 245/25/19 profile? And who will want to pay hundreds more dollars for such a specific profile with very hard "ride" characteristics? So once again i ask: Do you, or the other person, have experience with wheels and tyres? If not, do you really know what you are talkin about? I have no "work experience" with wheels and tyres, but have had my 19's for about 2.5yrs and did alot of research and asked, the experts/fitters, alot of questions.
  7. Are you sure you know what you are talking about? I have 19's and the rolling diametre is different, the speedo reading also gets affected (lukily for mine, it became more accurate, as it was reading to fast with the std wheels) 20's would probably NOT fit on a gts-t, as the 19's barely miss the upper control arm joint on the front wheels.
  8. Send a PM to "RBN1", Shivam will tell you all about it. He had a 32GTSt and now has a 32GTR.
  9. Sorry to say buddy, that sounds like you have a major fault, if what you have perceived is correct . What I suggested was a faulty or out of alignment switch, this will not effect your driving. Note: Your interpretation of how the car acted could be wrong. If you launch most Skylines at that rpm they will either do a "stand-still" or axle tramp and shake the car violently. Of course you are doing these tests off public roads .
  10. Bump
  11. PS: If you are thinking of pulling the 4WD fuse when you want to have some "fun", think again, they turn into a front heavy, understeering, pig of a car and when they are not understeering the ass end will come round faster than you know. So just make the choice: Grip of Slip
  12. There is a switch on the bottom of the hand brake, inside the boot, sounds like this needs some adjustment or it is faulty, nothing serious and very easy to fix, give it a go yourself.
  13. Never mix business with "friends" you have not even met. You'll be lucky to get $8k back if anything at all. What is your "friend", that introduced you to this guy, doing about helping you retrieve the cash?
  14. There are various types of VG turbos, we are after the early single turbo model.
  15. Sorry to say; That's why i will never go to Just Car, it states in their policy that they will pick the repairer or repairs, and they will never pay to get car back to original. The bar may look fine, but it is now very weak where the cracks have been joined, have a close look at the joins (rear of bar), are they plastic welded or just glued? I would have never accepted the bar to be repaired, as the plastic would have fine hair line cracks and over time these will come through the paint.
  16. That's what i was trying to say
  17. Not sure what the conversion between $AUS and Euro is but i purchased my splitfire coils for about $600-$700 Aus, delivered.
  18. The Z31 VG30 has a 0.83ish ext. housing. Rb25 ext. housing is about 0.6. Can a third party confirm or correct this?
  19. Now i am confused  When i posted if i could use a VL turbo ext. housing, i thought i read that the housing is not as big as the VG30 housing. So what are the specs for the VL turbo ext. housing? I know i will need a new dump pipe; not a problem. Will the std. oil and water lines fit? Any other mods required? Please help as i am about to take my car to the mechanic and like to do this while i am getting cams and head work done.
  20. If you need new coil packs best to buy a set of Splitfire ones, they are better than originals and probably cheaper, for a set of six. Best to change all of them as now they are getting pretty old.
  21. I know for a fact US measure HP differently (Typical Yanks ) to the rest of the world. Their claimed 500Hp is most likely about 400Hp. It's not that they are BS'ing or exaggerating, but there formula for measuring Hp is completely different to most countries.
  22. If you were to paint/powder-coat the spokes, of the rims, black it would look a lot better.
  23. Best way to compare is to go to a Dyno day. Various cars on the same day, in the same place, at the same dyno. I still want a ride in your car Kym .
  24. Get the price of a NEW bumper and reo from Nissan Australia. This price will be high, but insurance is paying for the damage. Get a price for a aftermarket bar, that you like, as it will most probably be cheaper than a genuine new bar, the insurance will most probably agree to buy aftermarket. Myself, i prefer a moded std bar. These are much stronger and will not crack/break the first time you scrap it or hit a curb.
