With what fuel pressure reg?You would really be pumpin up the pressure in the fuel rail to make this power with std inj. :uhh: Sard 550cc injectors, 235rwkw, 80% max duty cycle@full throttle At 185rwkw, std injectors, std reg, 93% max duty cycle@full throttle. So where are you going to find the extra fuel to acheive 250-260rwkw with std injectors?
  2. Just because a business sells/fits it doesn't mean it is legal, otherwise Autobarn would be out of business Give Vicroads a call and just ask the question, you may be disappointed .
  3. 040 are designed to be intank. I thought the only differance btw 044 and 040 was 044=external and 040=internal. Just some advise, something learnt by experience. Buy the 040, build a surge tank a little bigger, and mount the 040 inside the surge tank. This will help reduce the noise from the pump (and trust me a 044/040 is bloody noisy), you can then put as much sound damping material, as you prefer, all over the surge tank to reduce the noise even more. Fuel will also act as a coolant for the pump. With a 044 (external) you are unable to dampen the noise as you run a risk of overheating the pump (so i have been told). I unfortunately just have to live with it, but i honesty am not bothered by the noise, my mates on the other hand can't get over it, and keep biatching.
  4. Talk of doing a body swap (i.e.: rebirth) is hardly legal. Can not understand why a non-damaged body will be hard to re-register. My mechanic bought a front damaged GTiR, that was written off, has fixed the damaged body, and is about to register it legally. If the car was not structurally damaged what is the issue?
  5. I thought any type of mirror tint is illegal, due to reflections from the sun, etc. A quick call to Vicroads will answer all questions
  6. With stock pump, injectors and reg you will not make much over 210rwkw, no matter what turbo you use.
  7. What cams would you recommend for a GCG hiflow with a VG30 ext housing? I am considering Tomei Poncams [ECR33 Series 1 (RB25DET) - Duration: IN,EX 256 Lift: IN,EX 8.5mm] , with Tomei valve springs [To Suit RB25DET Lift ~8.80] and possibly "race porting" the head. PS: Are the valve springs required? Car is running std bottom end with rev limiter set to 7200rpm.

  9. You should go for a drive in Shivam's 32 GTR; that has a symphony of noises, all in a good way though
  10. I assume you have an aftermarket ecu, that can controll the VCT trigger point. The best way to determine the rpm trigger for the VCT is to complete 2 dyno runs. One with the VCT off (set very high eg:7500rpm) and the second with VCT turned on (set very low eg:1000rpm). Plot the two runs on the same graph and at the point where the lines cross will be the rpm that you should use to turn on the VCT.

  13. GREAT looking car buddy, congrats Mods also sound tasty If you are going to change the rims, get the new ones black/ charcol/basically a dark colour, it will look more aggressive . Have a look at the wheels in my car, there is a pic with the original colour (rims look white, but were actually silver), and a few pics of the rims powder coated a charcol colour.   14. no arguments there...........:wassup: The argument of "HKS Vs Garret" was been discussed numerous times, so everyone is entitled to their opinion. The term "Hybrid", by definition means; "thing composed of incongruous (mismatched) elements." Now how can you argue that the hybrid turbo can compare to a HKS turbo. The amount of $$$$$$$$'s, research and engineering will greatly out way any Hybrid. As stated b4, I myself have bought a second hand GCG hybrid and am very happy with the power, but know that a HKS turbo is far more superior. The HKS may not make a mountain load more power, but is an overall better product.
  15. Great, I still would prefer the VG30det turbo exhaust housing. But if i am unable to get one, i still have my 3.5" front pipe from my previous exhaust so all i need to do is get a dump pipe made up at my local exhaust shop, no big deal really .
  16. I have just heard that the std VL turbo exhaust housing is almost identical to the VG30. T3 flange .63 a/r. I was told there was a slight differance, can't remember what, but would not effect the operation and mounting of the turbo. The flange on the dump pipe is different though, thus a custom dump whould be required. Can someone in the know confirm/reject this theory, please? Can the std VL housing be used, instead of the VG30?
  17. Money talks. If you have the extra cash to buy HKS, you will end up with a better quality built turbo, a turbo that has been engineered to acheive the power@ higher boost, and better reliability. Also the turbines in a hi-flow turbo can be too big for the housings, which can cause other issues, such as fluttering while making boost.
  18. The best products are non-silicone based. Autobarn have a non-silicone based, uv-protectant solvant, don't know the name, just ask for it by discription. Armour-all is the worst! Stop using it and the silicone shrinks cracking the surface it was applied to.

  20. I have never seen or heard about R33 dash cracking. I know 32's have a problem with their dash, but nothing about a 33.

  22. As above.... GTRS or a 2535. Mind you i am having lots of fun with my hi-flow Do you have aftermarket; ecu, injectors, fuel reg, pump, etc.? As i wouldn't even bother with a hi-flow if these aren't done first/same time.
