Pete just make sure the turbo comes off a single turboed 300zx. If you come accross two i will be interested in one too.

The 'SKYLINE' rear facia is sitting in my bedroom, all painted with lettering all etched out. The LEDs are in the shed, mounted on a PCB board and working. All i need to do is mount the board to the rear of the facia and seal the whole thing, but i have been lazy . It will be done, soon , and will be nice and bright with 16 red hi-intensity LEDs

Rims are 19", just the right size to fill up the arches They are the same rims i had on previously, just powder-coated in Steel pearl.

Thanks ALL! I am soooo glad/happy to get such good feed-back from everyone, makes the wait that much more worth while. Having said that i truely do NOT want to go through it again. From day one i had a look that i wanted to create on the car, and done/bought various things, while the car was being painted. It all has come together nicely and i couldn't be happier. Best news was when i went to get the allignment done, once i got the car back from my mechanic. Centre Line measured it all up (camber/caster/toe) and confirmed that the settings were just as they set them, 3 months b4 the accident, and they didn't even charge me for the half hour Engine bay has coped a little work too , but i will wait till all parts are installed b4 posting any pics. Nothing too major/obvious. Front bar is already chiped due to the drive to Shepparton, but there is plenty more chips to come . Did consider a car-bra but am not convienced that the bra itself would not mark the paint from all the rubbing and vibrations. I have spare paint so i prefer to respray the front bar when the time comes. Anthony, i am "on-call" all weekend and next week, so i will give ya another call at a later date.

After 4 months off the road, the car is finally back in my hands Let me first thank Pete (Bass Junky) for spotting the colour because if I don't, he WILL . The colour is off the Australian delivered '97 Ford Mustang, and just my luck it happened to be a 3 layer pearl (read; expensive bloody paint). I am VERY happy with the repair, colour, mods, and cost. Still have a couple of small touches to complete but nothing serious. The car will once again make appearances at most SAU events Note: The last pic was how the car looked b4 the respray. This photo was taken mid summer on a very sunny day (hence why the silver coloured rims look white). The new pics were taken last weekend on a very overcast winters day . You could see, in the 6th photo, the differance between the original colour and the new colour.

I bought a s/h GCG hi-flow so I needed the water/oil lines, but the actuator is still attached to the turbo and included in the sale.

1 x RB25det std Turbo $350 Turbo has done 94,000km and has been running at 12psi for the past 2 years. No funny noises, great response, made btw 185rwkw and 210rwkw (Depending which dyno you beleive , i say 185rwkw is the more realistic). Very slight shaft movement, back and forth, no movement up and down. I have a brand new pair of black reclinable sports seats. These were bought for my car but were not fitted as no head room advantage would have been gained (ie: I was still going to be unable to wear a helmet in my usual driving position.) Never installed, both seats come with univeral rails, very comfortable and supportive. $650pr

So the comp. cover is still the std. rb25det turbo? Also, having trouble understanding that dyno graph :Oops: . How could a turbo with a bigger exhaust cover be making more power throughout the whole range? I would have thought the std hiflow would have been making more power a little earlier (@ low rpm), than the VG30 hiflow combo.

How have you come to this conclusion?

Just put on a s/h hi-flow turbo, i believe it may be a GCG unit as it has the sierra-sierra turbine combination and is also b/b core. Whereas ATP replace the b/b core with a bush unit. If i plant the foot in any gear the turbo spools nicely and puts down the power. If i cruise easily, at 0.5bar the turbo will flutter while i am still accelerating. Boost flutters back and forth between about 0.4bar and 1.2bar, till i floor it or change gear. The previous owner swears he had no such issue with the turbo. And i know my mechanic played arround with the integral gate, while on the dyno. I have come up with a few possiblities that still need to be tested. 1/ Integral wastegate is not working 100% 2/ The intake pipe may be partly collasping under light loads (harmonics) thus effecting intake air. 3/ Also want to temporarily remove new Turbosmart bov, just to eliminate it as a fault. Any other suggestions.

I would think, full exhaust, 11psi, and decent street tyres would be enough for a 13s pass.
