    DECA Entires.

Have also decided to ONLY help-out/spectate, just can't afford the extra expenses associated with this event , as i still have more/other expences to pay for. Committee ppl, i will catch up with all of you tomorrow to discuss other areas that i could help with, and my mate (Malcolm) may also be interested in helping out.
  3. As Shivam stated, i will be there and my car makes it's first appearance after 4 months
  4. Welcome to the Skyline life style First and formost, shut your mate's mouth up with a whole roll of duct tape! It appears that he knows nothing about anything. The whole idea of getting a car complied it to meet Australian standards (ADR), so as long as you buy a stock car, you will not have any issues. Also, I personally can not think of one engine component that is interchangable between the skylines and silvias. All major questions have been already answered. So i will only say that you are much better off buying a car privately (ie: Not the car yards). Do a search on this forum, it has a wealth of information, and research what you need to know when looking at buying a R33. Wish you all the best!

    had any trouble?

Coming down for a 1 week cruise round Tassie early next year, glad to see that the boys in blue are much more reasonable. Hopefully by then you lot will have 98ron at the pumps. Be also good to meet up with a few of you too
  6. Personally i would just get the link retuned, you gain so much mid-range power and torque with an aftermarket ecu.
  7. With your previous track history Troy, i don't think that is going to happen any time soon
  8. Come on ppl, this will be a GREAT weekend, and not just for the drivers
  9. This is sooooooo tempting, I just got the car fully sprayed and upgraded, should be on the road that weekend. The car has been off the road for 3 months and the quickest car I have driven was my parents' VT Commodore . I have been suffering withdrawal symptoms for the past 2.9 months. Decisions, decisions..................
  10. If i'm there i will help, i will put my hand up on the day.
  11. I agree, $20 to spectate is a joke. I'll hate to think how much it is going to cost to see the "Nationals", when they come.
  12. Powder coating is a lot stronger and harder to chip. And is it does chip, it is a lot easier to colour match
  13. He has stated the price: "only want HKD5700 including UPS speed postage". Does anyone know how to convert Hong Kong currency to Aus. dollars?Had these on my car for 2yrs, VERY hard (on the softest setting), but would be great for drifting, as that is what they are designed for.

    NDSOC Drag Day

BIG THANKS! to NDSOC for inviting our club for this event, was truely a great day and very well organised. The weather cleared out nicely and remained very cold, great for our turbo engines. Very disappointed at the turn out at Ford carpark (Only Ash and myself), but very happy to see a lot of Skylines make the drive up to Heathcote. I was carrying my camera all day but did not take one pic . Too lasy and cold to take my hands out my pockets and line up a shot . I beleive Ash's best time, for the day, was his first run; 12.1. We were all hoping he was going to dip into the 11's but his clutch decided not to co-operate and threw in the towel. I truely think his car has the potential to run a 11sec pass. Well dine guys/girls and see you all at the next event.
  15. wilch: A true work of art
  16. 4, have a closer look, or get glasses
  17. Sounds like the car has gone through a dogey compliance shop, hence the reason why vicroads requested to inspect the car in the first place. If vicroads suspect a compliancer to be cutting corners they will inspect the cars complied by the business to collect evidence against the owner. Most the items you listed above should have been done during compliance. Unfortunately your mate has to fix these faults
  18. Hey Kim, i paid $120 for all 4 19" rims to be powder coated and am VERY pleased with the quality and colour. I knew the guy through my mechanic so may be a little more, say about $200 of all 4, but on the other hand you are only doing the spokes. Contact: Steve Phone: 9338 6631 Address: 22 Victory Rd(or Str), Airport West. Just off Matthews Ave. sorry can't remember business name
  19. Maybe the guy is just BS'ing, or maybe not. But his actions are pretty suspicious, i wouldn't be doing anything untill full details of the car and himself are given.
  20. It's done on purpose to vent heat from the engine bay.
  21. And if you intend to come to Sandown you are also invited to the "Team Wang" piss-up to conclude the day.
  22. What a/r is the exhaust housing? If this has come off a rotary, i am expecting it to be sizable.
  23. I think cleaning the AFM with compressed air may have damaged it. Should only use contact cleaner, and even then be very careful. Have you got a cold air duct feeding you new partition? If not, maybe not enough air is getting through to the induction system (ie: you are suffucating the engine). Another theory is that the condensed air, you mentioned, is playing tricks on the ecu and is causing it to splutter. I remember my car didn't like the fmic, pod, 11psi boost and cold nights, until i replaced the ecu with a programmable one.
  24. Did it have red custom Vic plates? If so that's my mates.I personally prefer the Evo 6.
  25. Who can give me a lift? I have already driven past there twice this week and cnbf driving a third time. Will be willing to drive to person's house and meet them there, pref. Northern/Western suburbs. If my car was on the road it would be a different story! Please PM me Alan
