  1. Only costed me $120 to powder coat my 19" rims "precious steel perl" (dark metalic grey) . That's $120 for all 4, not each.
  2. That's great !
  3. As i told you b4, on one of our drunk conversations , BLACK looks great on silver. Or if you prefer, black spokes with a polished dish.
  4. As i stated we can not hold everyone's hand. By taking such measures we do just about all that can be done, the rest of the reponsibility falls on the buyer. The "Trader ratings" idea probably wont work as i have sold/bought numerous stuff without getting a "rating" from the other party. If you feel offended by the flaming, maybe you should rethink the way you start your opening posts and not try to insult the person trying to help everyone else. I didn't flame you for your ideas, but for your opening sentence. Regards Alan
  5. We can not hold everyone’s hand! The buyer always has to take responsibility and thus must arrange with the seller to COD, if they wish too. SAU do not get involved with money transfers and p&h, so how could this be enforced? If the above are "obvious", why do we need to take these measures? Why aren't the buyers being more careful?; instead of handing $$$'s to ppl they do not know. But due to the amount of naive ppl on these forums, and the multiple PM's, e-mails, etc., I receive I feel that something needs to be done to improve the situation. Regards Captain Obviously NOT so obvious
  6. Due to the increased number of scammers recently, I think we need to start looking at ways to deter these a55holes from taking our hard end $'s. I ask everyone to suggest ways we can discourage/control scammers on this forum. My suggestions (with help from Allblitz): * Users should only be allowed to trade if; - They have been a SAU registered user for at least 3 months. - They have at least 100 posts to their name (Any new member continually found posting irrelevant 5hit, to bump up post counts should be warned then banned if they continue). - They claim to be a business; they must make a donation to SAU (as usual) but also provide all relevant contact details, including ABN #. This is all I could think of, atm, but please feel free to give opinions and ideas; we need to start protecting or members. We will never fully filter out all scammers but at least these ideas will deter them from joining SAU to rip ppl off. I also am of the opinion that ppl should take more due care when buying on ANY forum, and should have some guidelines to protect themselves, but these forums can do a little bit more to help the naive user. Thanks Alan
  7. What are they? Std/Aftermarket, what cc ? If they are std; how do you know they are perfect, did you get them cleaned and flow tested?
  8. At Winton the Cappa actually overtook 2 R33 Skylines (had light mods: FMIC, Exhaust, Boost). Due to it's size and low centre of gravity it really handles great. Winton is a very twisty track so the Cappa did well, especially when it had shitty tyres, with alot of sidewall flex and not enough grip. With new good rubber it would have done even better. Down the quarter, the Skyline would always win. All depends on the driver really.
  9. So what do you drive now?
  10. I know and have seen these on cars, but do not know where to get them. Is your mate's car new and did it come with the car from new? If so go to the dealer and buy them from there.
  11. Sounds like you need a 19mm spark plug socket. If you are still confused just go to your local tyre shop, they will help you. If you live in the western suburbs i could give you some assistance, just PM me.
  12. Not to mention; that just about every car you sell has them
  13. I really hope you were not driving it hard on the std unleaded fuel. I know of a person that blew his motor doing this very thing. Once you noticed that you filled up with std unleaded, did you add octain booster to bump up the octain? That $16 for a bottle would have saved you all this aggravation.
  14. We need to work on getting permission from Crown to have some SAU pics there Nice photos
  15. - Manufacture Date: Late 1993
  16. You should always get various quotes, that does sound VERY pricey.
  17. I will give you a box of tissues on Sunday. You could have a sook while i drive you car
  18. As above. Sounds like your alternator is overcharging the battery, this will greatly shorten the life of the battery and at worse case may cause it to leak. Get the voltage regulator/alternator checked by an auto elec.
  19. Just in case someone missed it

    Chasers Tuning

:bs!: Not all opinions are biased. I have never taken my car to Ben @ Racepace and have only meet him once, but just from word of mouth, experience, and results I know he is good at what he does and therefore I will recommend him, were needed. Just like, if someone was looking for a mechanic on the west side I would recommend EAS Performance, for the same reasons. See, I will probably never get my tune at Racepace only due to the fact that I have a Wolf3D ecu and Ben would probably not know how to tune/use this ecu as well as my mechanic and Rank Rotary. Sorry, a little off topic, but had to point out not all recommendations/referrals are biased. Most ppl are genuinely honest.
  23. $34,000 FOR A MODIFIED R33 GTR AND YOU STILL WANT TO NEGOTIATE..... Buy a gtst.
  24. I have a few mates that work at Ford development and manufacturing, all state that, stock to stock, the XR6-t is faster than the Typhoon, and have seen 1/4 mile tests to prove it. The only advantage is the torque made by the Typhoon. It all comes back to power/weight , personally i will stick with my 11yr old Skyline and wave as i am going past.
