    What Colour?

    Good luck
  2. Next track meets are on: April 10 - Sandown (Maseratti day) April 16 - Winton (WRX club sprint) I suggest that you wait till the Winton day, as the track is open and has very few walls that can be hit. Also is a great starter track due to it's amount of slow speed corners. These are both CAMS affiliated events, so you will need to become a SAU Vic club member ($70) click here for forms. Then you will need to contact Andrew (Snowman), via PM, to arrange the CAMS LS2 licence ($83). For CAMS you will need the following saftey items: - Small Fire Extinguisher (Approx. $20) - 2nd bonnet restraint (Use 2 looped cables with latching hook, works great and doesn't put holes in your bonnet) - Metal valve caps, on your tyres. - A approved road helmet - Long sleeve cotton shirt, and paints - A blue triangle sticker to indicate battery location (Can use blue electrical tape) Regarding brakes: First and most important thing, change your fluid to racing brake fluid. This will resist brake fade at the extreme racing temps. I use Casterol SRF ($100-$120), but others are happy enough with Motal ($40). If you still want more clamping, upgrade your pads, then if you want more again, go for some slotted rotors. Do not use "cross drilled" rotors when racing on a track, as they can crack. Good luck and see ya out there Alan
  3. Aren't the seat covers removable on the 32 GTR?
  4. You have obviously never been to a Ford or Holden "show 'n shine". In Vic we have a Ford day, at Geelong, with so many restored/modified Fords you don't have enough time to see them all. There is as much modified Fords as there is modified Skylines. If you want to discuss Ford modifications i suggest you jump on www.fordmods.com or any other FPV site.
  5. That was me Steve, you should of said hi. Next time don't be shy
  6. Don't use drag radials !, because you will not be able to state "street legal tyres". Commo's use drag tyres, as they have not got the skill to launch of the line smoothly and on the brink or traction/wheel-spin. Bit more practice and you'll get there buddy RE55's sure as hell smoke up nicely :aroused:
  7. So are the pistons, rods, crank, etc., standard or forged? What do you mean by "modiified".
  8. Geez i always thought those rims were 16", sorry for my confusion
  9. Great night, love hearing that screamer pipe. No problem Troy, any time. Was almost as excited as you were when i saw that 12.9 displayed.
  10. R33's came out with 16" alloys std  Is there enough clearance for the front calipers? Any pics of these fitted to a R33?

    What Colour?

Have done and approved a sample. The colour is Lazer Red, off the 97 Ford Mustang. Thanks to all for your input, especially Pete as he found the colour Alan
  14. I have actually driven it dip shit, and if you can't see the differance between jealousy and some friendly teasing well shove it up your ass! Great going Scoota, first post and all you bothered to do was; miss read my post and insult me. Not bad from a person that is trying to organise their first event with SAU.
  15. You wish (N1 engine only , but FARK is it quick )
  16. Bit harsh Andrew , i ran a 13.4 with my car and i am absolutely shit at drag racing. (Std turbo and engine, on my 19's) I'm beting a 13.01, just to piss off Troy , and to back up the initial bet we had btw us. I will try and be there and will probably help Shivam trailor his car there, if he still wants to.
  17. Doing a timing belt on a 33 is no easy task, especially without the right tools. Ring around and get it done at a w/shop. My Mechanic: EAS performance Contact : Vic Tel: 9330 2001 Add: 11 Victory Str/Rd, Airport West (near Tullamarine) I have been going to Vic for the last 3 years without any drama. A few of my mates also use him and have found his work to be of a high standard.
  18. I would highly recommend N1 oil and water pumps be put in, especially with that turbo and possibly the increase in the RPM limiter, once internals are done. Just listen to Ben's advise and always ask questions, just to clear your mind up of any issues.
  19. Unfortunately we are still waiting for Allblits to get whe wings from his supplier, once he has them we will notify all involved.

    What Colour?

Hey Pete, i saw a mustang in that colour and it looked VERY nice. I am now making a sample to see how it comes out. Thanks Alan
  21. Pics of dash and steps please. Both front and rear views. Have you spoken to PRANK about being a business trader?
  22. What is wrong with having 2 bov's?
  23. SK: I have actually followed the same steps with my car , but i have done the fuel system first, b4 the turbo, only because i was doing a few track days. At a later stage i will also put in the Tomie Poncams and port the head, b4 even considering the plenium. Even though it is far down the track a 3ltr bottom end, with preped internals, is on the cards. At that stage i will have to get a plenium, only because of the taller engine, hence the cross pipe needs to be removed. Boosted Zed: That plenium is really a nice work of art and a top effort My question though is, what was that particular car making on your dyno, on the same day, in the same conditions? No one can post "i have made ###rwkw, on a stockish rb25 with the addition of a plenium" and claim that the plenium was the cause of such a good figure. If the car had completed 3 power runs first(then calculate an average of the readings), then fitted the plenium and completed another 3 power runs, then and only then can anyone claim the benifits of the plenium. Once again, a very nice piece of work and i am sure some ppl will purchase it just to improve the look of the engine bay, and if it does increase the power, all the better.
