  1. Any pics of the driver's seat?
  2. PM sent
  3. Tyres would be worth about $290-$350+ per corner.
  4. Rims are actually 8 inches wide, have them on my car. If the offset is correct, these will fit neatly under the R33 Gts-t gaurds, without any drama.
  5. Really SORRY to do this but i may have to pull out . Had a racing accident at Calder Park and my rear end came off second best to a concrete barrier . My deepest appologies Alan
  6. I'm pretty sure that the new camera's are digitally linked to the head office. So your fine will be being processed b4 you get to the end of the street. Maybe now you(tintin) will learn to keep to speed limits and respect the law.
  7. Still keen. Unfortunate my computer is playin up (using mates comp. atm) so if you don't hear from me, please do not remove me from the list.
  8. Sorry to inform you, but you are actually illegally driving your car, due to the power to weight ratio (i.e.: R33 Gts-t's are considered to be too powerful for P-platers, thus are illegal). Anyway, pod filter is legal, BOV can just be replaced or converted to a plumb-back (easy) and boost controllers can be removed by a mechanic (hopefully your std solenoid/valve has not been removed). Which part of Melb. are you from? (North, east, south west)
  9. As stated previously, just e-mail Paul, i too am waiting for my money to be transfered back into my account. Unfortunately i have nothing to do with the other buy and money involved.
  10. You obviously don't remember new years very well . How about the next MORNING when you cracked open a new bottle of scotch, for breakfast?
  11. Ni, any chance of getting all parties (SAU and non-SAU members) interested in the new GB above. Assure them it will not take long, once we have the numbers.
  12. I would also prefer a motel, don't want tents and shit denting out my quarters as we are travelling down the GOR.
  13. PUSHY Actually, i am going there tomorrow. I spent the whole day at Mulwala (NSW) today .
  14. Personally i would prefer to pay Meridian directly, but they may want the deposit in one hit, to confirm buyers. I will need to speak to them.

  16. I have started a new Group Buy, so hopefully you are all still interested and we will be able to complete this purchase ASAP. Click HERE for the new thread
  17. Due to the unsuccessful result, from the previous attempt (organized by another SAU member), I have decided to source my own supplier. Meridian Motorsport has two brands that fit our requirements one is SPARCO the other is ERG. The Sparco belts are just under $500ea, if we were to buy 10+. The ERG harness is $375ea for a group buy of 10+. Now, I have personally seen both items side by side and apart from the logo there is NO difference. The belt buckles and length adjusters are identical and appear to be supplied by the same manufacturer. The only difference is that the Sparco release buckle is anodized and the ERG buckle is powder-coated/painted. Straps are of the same thickness (3") and material. Tobby (sales rep.) has stated that he sells at least twice as many of the ERG harnesses and has not yet had a bad response. These come in 3 colours; Black, Red, and Blue. THEY ARE FIA APPROVED Unfortunately I am unable to locate ERC's web site and Meridian seem to have no pictures of either harness on their web site. But I have scanned a couple of pictures from the Sparco catalogue. Just found out that these belts retail for about $440ea so $65 bux is a pretty good saving. Please post your interest below and include colour People Interested: 1/ Al (black) 2/ KamikazeR33 (black) 3/ KamikazeR33 (black) 4/ Deorbit (black) 5/ 51jay (black) 6/ 7/ 8/ 9/ 10/
  18. Make that definate How much for postage insurance? The last thing i want is a dent in my new cooler due to poor handling.
  19. I am very interested. So that's $290 delivered to my door (Melb.)?
  20. Spoke to Meridian Motorsport, just waiting their reply.

HOLD UP PPL, firstly i need to say Rap is tha bomb ! On less important matters ; 1/ Winton was just an idea, i will guarantee you that we will not get more than 70 members at this first meet, due to distance from cities. 2/ You have taken my title "National Event" to seriously, or i just used the wrong words  . If we get Canberra, rural/country, Melbourne, Sydney and maybe Adelaide ppl interested (Basically ppl within an approx. 4hr drive radius from the meeting point), we should have a friendly mate Vs mate fun event. I may have stretched my enthusiasm with Winton, due to $$$$, but if we find a private property with a big car park we still can do most things. If we don't have some kind of fun car related activities what is going to encourage ppl to make the 4hr trip? We can't organize a cruise round country Vic/NSW as that is the last thing i would want, after driving 4hrs. But some short fun driving activates would be great. 3/ The Party is still a great idea, wherever we decide to have it, as i had a great night with the Canberra ppl. At the end of the day nothing bets sitting back with alcohol at hand, DJ in background, a bbq and great company. PS: My mate may possibly DJ for free as he was talking about doing something on one of our cruises. 4/ Don't think that this first event is going to be huge. Speaking for Melb., we have a lot of members that want to cruise but bit*h about fuel. Sad but true. On Phillip Island or Winton track days we are lucky to have 15 members attend and only about half will enter, purely due to distance.

Hi guys, Just came back from the Nats, where i met up with Jayson, Richard and a few others. This idea is great, SAU's first National meet. Just my opinion on a few things - The meeting point should be kept at a 4hr travel distance from both Vic and Canberra. Albury/Woodonga is ideal as it is 3.5hrs drive from both cities. How far is L.H.? from Albury? Narrandera is too far, 5.5hrs from Melb. I have driven there and back in one day for work. - We also need to organize certain events, possibly a state Vs state competion with trophies, nothing too serious or expensive. eg: A track Competion day at Winton (only 45min from Woodonga) events could include; go-to-whoa, motokarna, timed laps, etc. - Most members here a males (especially the ones that attend such events) so having a party in a remote venue will be like going to a gay bar (NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT, IT'S JUST NOT ME ). These are just some of my thoughts and ideas, but we need to organise something that will encourage people to make the 4hr drive. It will have to be a full weekend event. Keep the ball rollin' Alan
  23. Is it the Type-R or the standard Sard fuel regulator?
  24. The ones i am thinking of, come in various colours, have 3" straps, same release mechanism and have same mounting clips.
