Roy my neighbour swears by his mate's airbrushing tallent. Only catch is that he is about 16yrs old (the artist), but on the other hand, he will be a lot cheaper than most other people. Your call, but it doesn't hurt to pay him a visit and look at his "portfolio".

Just fit a nice small one on your rear windscreen or buy a wing that has a centre brake light. Problem solved

That all depends on the car itself, person selling it, location, day and time. If the car is riddled with faults and the owner is trying to find a dummy to buy the car he will ask for 12.5K. My mate sold his imacculate R32 Gts-t (manual) for 15K. It was a '93 model with factory leather seats, lightly modified and pulled almost 150rwkw at ICE Performance with only an exhaust, pod, 10psi boost, remapped ecu chip and nothing else. ICE completed a thorough check, dyno runs and test drive (on the buyer's expense) and could not fault it. Where about do you live and where is the car located?

THANKS to all the guys and girls that made my mate and myself feel welcomed. It was a great night and enjoyed every moment. Some very nice rides Hope to see ya all again, and a few more, when we organize a 2 state meet up at Albury/Woodonga. This is a 3 and a half hour drive for both states, so it will be a weekend'er, with alot of entertainment and possibly a track day at Winton. I will do a little background work, then get in touch with Jayson and Richard. Wayne: That site i told you about: http://www.nengun.com/ The Nats was a blast and i will hopefully be coming up again next year. C ya Alan

If everyone is still interested I am sure I can get a set of harnesses at a discounted price from another supplier (Meridian Motorsport). Most probably they wont be the same brand or the same price (they may be cheaper or a little bit more), I have to discuss this with Meridian Motorsport. They have previously looked after us with the oil cooler kits and I am sure they will do the same for these harnesses as I have already mentioned it briefly. He will most certainly NOT take nearly as long to supply the goods. PAUL: The Tsunami disaster was a great and sorrowful tragedy, with the unfortunate lose of innocent lives. I am sorry to hear that the suppliers son has passed away due to this event. But to use this as the only excuse and only update, after many months of waiting, is absolutely disgraceful and appalling.

turbo performing poorly after a few minutes operation
Al replied to Aeris's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Fellas, i don't think you have understood the problem, unless i have mis-read it. The boost is fine every morning, until he does a few k's, then the boost plays up. This can be the spring in the waste gate though, due to the metal in the spring becoming that little bit softer when it heats up. It can also be you BOV, if stock, for the same reason. Another cause may be a hairline crack in your piping, ic, or pleneum, and when these heat up the crack is allowing boost to escape (highly unlikely though). Are you hearing any squeals/noises when boost is not being reached? I have never experienced this fault and am not a mechanic, just some simple logical thoughts . -
Just logged on, sorry for the delay. Yeah I’m in! May also bring a mate. I personally appreciate a whole range of cars. B4 deciding on buying the 'line (a decision I have no regrets about ) I was seriously considering buying a XM coupe and installing a modern XR8 motor into it. I still belong to another club that is primarily Fords, Holdens and old muscle cars. I enjoy and appreciate the differences and work put into these cars, almost as much as killing 'em down the 1/4 mile or race track . My mate has spent well over $35k restoring and modifying his '74 Ford XA coupe, but also drives a Suzuki Cupacino as his daily car. What I am trying to state is that people can enjoy and appreciate all types/makes of cars.

Never entered the burnout event, cnbf waiting in the huge ques and missing all the action. Just cruised the curcuit and dropped a few burnouts, every now and then, to shut the holden/ford boyz up . Also entered the show n' shine in the middle of the grass field. Here's a pic

Are interstate visitors welcome? This would be my 5th Nats, and i have entered my car in once (about 2-3 yrs ago), burgundy R33 Gts-t, Victorian Personal Plates, 19" rims(dual 5 spoke) [Lenso Muse]. Unfortunately, the car is staying home and i will be driving up in my company ute [Free fuel ], so if ya see a big guy in a white ute with a "WEDDERBURN" logo on the side, give us a wave, i will be wearing one of various SAU Vic t-shirts. Hoping to see a few awesome Skylines there! Alan

What is the diff ratio? -
Hi Mika, This is a great idea, and i am sure many SAU Vic members and non-members will be glad to join your cruise and donate to a worthy cause. If you want a hand to organise the SAU side of things feel free to contact me via PM or directly on 0427 076490. As inark has stated we need to work with local authorities and plan this very carefully. Doxx's idea for tempory stickers is great. Alan SAU Vice Pres.

Which mechanics/electricians have you taken it to? I have been taking my car to EAS Performance in Airport West for the past 3 years and have found him to be very compatent with imports. He has vast experience in both mechanical and electrical, so may have a better chance to sort out your problem. Contact me by PM if you are interested. Your discription is WAY too vague so b4 posting shit like this; i suggest you give a full discription of your car specs and mods. Also when seeking help it is not a good idea to be a smart ar5e!

Thanks Matt _IrIsH_ this IS a CAMS event, you need a LS2 level licence to enter. But they may have one passenger session at the start of the event. Just make sure you are wearing long sleeve shirt and pants and bring a helmet.

I recommend that all parties involved get their money back and we shall seek out a supplier else where. I understand that such problems can be out of everyones hands, so if everyone agrees i will request all funds deposited back into our accounts. From here i will contact a new supplier and see what deals they can do for us.

TiNTiN i would highly recommend ylwgtr2 (Troy), i have seen 3 great examples of his work and would use him myself, should i ever have an unfortunate accident. Glad to hear you and your friends are safe, just remember that Skylines are a high performance cars and allowing friends to drive it is not always wise .

Any progress with the ENTRY FORMS from the WRX club?
-
Andrew as our discussions at the committee meetings, std was classed as a car with an non modified/changed turbo and engine. So any car that ran hi-flow turbos or have non-factory equiped turbo's (ie: placing a better turbo from a latter model eg:N1 on a gtr or an RB25 turbo on a Rb20, etc. are all classified as being modified) A hi-flow fuel pump does not add any power. What wasn't considered was aftermarket ecu's, but anyone with a avc-r or piggyback, etc, will also fall in this group. I have seen so many cars getting the same power from an avc-r (etc) as an aftermarket ecu (when using std turbo/s).

I'm in! Need to get my CAMS finalized
-
Unfortunately something has come up on the 26th and i will not be able to make it, sorry . Will keep an eye out for the next one.
-
Not leaving us much time there Greg . Due to Winton, i still need to put my 19's back on the car, wash it (inside and out), and polish it. Will try to be there, but not promising anything, just tell us where.

Has anyone got the link to the WRX Club, i would really want to get the entry form for the Twilight sesion at Calder Park
-
I too beleive that non-member cars should be included in the calender. As Shan has stated, we are trying to raise funds for our club so all the best cars should be included. If my car is not good enough then i'm cool as i know a better car would have taken it's place. The calender should consist of the whole variety of SKYLINES (sorry Sam, just my opinion), not just GTR's or late model. Maybe have a page for each class.
