  1. What a GREAT weekend, one of the best on record! The only down side was the unfortunate damage to Troy's car. The Victorian circuit Gods are cutting him no slack , or maybe his car is just home sick and refusing to co-operate. Was really disappointed to hear of you mishap, hope all will work out nest time. On the other hand, my car (and myself) performed beyond my own expectations, for a offical track newbie. Personally i think these fun days are possibly more dangerous than the offical CAMS events. Don't get me wrong, i really had the time of my life, but you get some dlcks in the beaten up pieces of shlt, trying to prove a feeble point and going beyong the capabilites of their cars. Or you get some a55holes who have specially set track cars, treating it as the Bathurst, and cuting you off, pushing your car to the outside, etc. At times i just had too much to loose so i just slowed down and let them pass. Most the time everything was cool, my tyres kept a great grib to the track, but i still managed to do more than a few 4 wheel power slides . The suspension preformed remarkably, but will be speaking to Centreline to see if i could dial out some of the understeer, not sure if i can because at times i was getting oversteer. Meet a few more new faces today, sorry if i didn't socialise much , just too hectic trying to fit all things in. Hope to catch up again soon. BIG thank-you to Bec and Chris for organising the cruise up and some "modern" accommodation. Thanks to all Wang members , who made the night b4 an unforgetable one and to Adz for cooking up a mean barbie PS: Photos from both days would be great, so don't be shy and post 'em up .
  2. The joining date for the group buy has passed, so unfortunately if your name is not on the first post you have missed out. But Steve, at Maltech, has stated that he will give a good deal for any on off purchases through SAU. Just call/e-mail them directly and mention you are from SAU but unfortunately have missed the deadline for the group buy.
  3. Unfortunately some people still have not completed the Buy. Maltech have been generous enough to give us the lowest price on faith that all people that showed interest will come through. Please keep your word and purchase these great lines A.S.A.P. As you can see from numerous previous posts, that the quality and fitment are second to none. Thanks Alan PS: Glad to hear ALL the good reports
  4. Shivam, you have A LOT of issues, maybe you should call Chris
  5. Adz, with a reflection like that; Now you can look at yourself and the car at the same time . We all know you do it .

    Thanks SAU execs

Thanks But you silver R32 GTR looked PHAT! really nice!
  7. Al

    Thanks SAU execs

Didn't know that public roads were you private race circuit , and besides i have nothing to prove . At least this nancy boy has kept his unblemished licence for 9.5 years and still unleashes it on closed circuits, etc. How is your "power restriction" going, having fun?

    Thanks SAU execs

On the drive to Calder Park, something unimaginable happened.................... Out of five cars, cruising together, my car was unique. There were 4 R32's and my R33. I will remember this day for a long time .
  9. Chris/Bec, unfortunately one of my mates had to pull out also, sorry . So now it's me plus 1.
  10. Happy B'day buddy! I will sink one down for ya at Wangaratta/Winton this weekend
  11. I have heard nothing but good reports from ATP, and have personally seen a few cars running with Kyp's turbo's. My mechanic, for 3 years, uses no-one else when modifying turbos. "highly regarded" by who? In all my time on this forum i have not heard of this workshop. It is great that they have treated you well, but please don't glorify their reputation without justification.
  12. Al

    Thanks SAU execs

Great to see a good turn-out! Was a good day and meet a few new ppl. Sorry i left early, but i really wanted to see the drift battles at Calder
  13. Scenario: You have a 1300kg+ whale moving at 60+km/h, on 195 (wide) cheap hard compound tyres (that were only bought to barely pass the compliance), you flick the wheel and stomp on the go pedal, unfortunately the momentum of weight transfer is pushing the car in the same direction you started with, due to the lack of grip and width of the tyres. My suspension is about as modified/improved as most road driven cars would go. With the 19's traction is NOT an issue and oversteer is "on-tap" when wanted. I need better rims that have a greater width (ie:8 inch all round), better softer tyres with a lower side wall profile, to minimis flex (i.e.: 17's) . But you are also correct... At the moment the car is set for grip/track. Front adj. sway-bar is set to hardest and rear adj. sway-bar is set to soft. For drift I will be getting under the car and setting the front a little softer (to absorb some of the weight transfer and unsettle the rear) and the rear sway-bar to the hardest setting (to flick out easily). Unless you are competing don't worry about weight. Get out there and have some fun (as i have seen you do). Just try to bet your previous times at the same track. It's only clean on my half .
  14. Congrats, and all the best Hope to still see both of you at one or two cruises next year

    I stole Golgo!

Looking at the pic, i would say they are custom mounted. Shouldn't be too hard to do.
  16. Great to see you had a go and enjoyed the day. Car looked good on the track! I now have to stop telling everyone you made it into the top 16 .
  17. 1./ Not exactly 2/ I agree the 19's are not suited to much, just look damn good under the arches  Am also considering getting a 2nd set of cheap 17's for drift/burnout as i understeer too much with the std. 16's.
  18. Ni do you have his e-mail address, may get a quicker response.
  19. Lucien, just email Maltech with all the details, as described in the second half of the first post, to make sure there will be no confussion. In all honesty all weight effects car's handling, i just bought a set of cheap 2nd hand track rims and fitted my re55's. My 17x8/9 only cost me $300 for a mismatched set. I am in no competition, but i still will like to kick some people's arse .
  20. Seems like all sub-sections have been lost (hopefully only temporarily), so I will post up the WESTERN & GEELONG PRE-MEET AND CRUISE here. Meet 1: Place: Mobile/Mc Donald’s servo (city bound) time: 11:00am (Leaving at 11:20 sharp!) Meet 2: Place: Shell/KFC servo (Just after the Westgate bridge, b4 the Burnley tunnel) Time: 11:30am (Leaving at 12:00 sharp!) C YA THERE! Alan

  22. Great to hear all the good reports, thanks for the kind words. The guys at Maltech are so great that, they have refunded me the difference between the price I paid (2 months ago) and the group buy price. I didn't even expect or asked for it, they just thought it was a fair deal , I’m so happy..... Chris you share the same philosophy that I have. I have put a lot of money into handling and braking, yet the engine and turbo are still standard. I have now gone as far as I wanted with these key areas, as I have installed; dba4000's (5000's not avail. for gts-t at the time), braided lines, pads, coil-overs, sway bars, bushes, hicas lock, adj camber/caster, pineapples, etc. Next year I will start looking at some "mild" power upgrades , the wheels are already in motion (so to speak).
  23. Pics please (From all angles)
  24. RS73: Yes, $356 delivered to your door. KamikazeR33: Shouldn't be a problem.
  25. Someone is getting serious
