PM sent Just reading the prevous posts, there seem to be one or two other people with EXCEDY clutches having the same noise. Maybe we haven't fitted the right size thrust bearing, as the kit does not come with one. I actually spoke to the EXCEDY rep at the 1st Autosaloon and he stated that these clutches will be sold with a new thrust bearing in the future. My mechanic did fit a new one to mine and it worked fine for a while, but now intermitantly has that exact problem. Stupid question; But have you re-adjusted the clutch take up point on your clutch slave cylinder, when you fitted the new box?
-
Sounds like an EXCEDY thing to me. My new excedy twin plate has just intermitantly started to make that noise . Same as you describe, press the clutch and it is quite release it and it's there instantly. Also is pretty loud sometimes, and i have a loud exhaust. I've only heard it twice though.

Yes.... A "set" is front and rear, but do you want the left or right side? J/K A "set" is all 4 corners

Braided Brake lines
Al replied to Mr R32 M-Spec's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Have just organised a GROUP BUY with great prices for the MALTECH line Click Here -
Dale: That's why i have 2 SAU t-shirts Andrew: Sorry buddy, i do remember seeing you wear it .

I have been in discussions with Steve from MALTECH and have organized some great prices for braided brake and clutch lines. These are ADR approved! Thus are street legal and have the ADR numbers moulded on the rubber sleeves, at the end of each hose They can be made to suit the R32-34 GT-R and also the R32-34 GTS-t. Steve's reponse to my e-mail is as follows: As per your request for a group buy, l have come up with this pricing structure. Sets of hoses in this group buy can be made up of the varying models and we can still offer the different coloured inserts (black, red, blue, yellow). BRAKE LINES (Front & Rear) Retail $430.00 each set 5 person group buy $ 395.00 each set 10 person group buy $ 365.00 each set 15 person group buy $ 345.00 each set CLUTCH LINE Retail $ 80.00 5 person group buy $ 65.00 each 10 person group buy $ 60.00 each 15 person group buy $ 55.00 each All prices include GST Australia wide Postage and Handling costs $11.00 each Regards Steve Malkin Manager Maltech Ultimate Brake Hoses www.maltech.com.au I know the prices above are good as i paid $420 (brake) and $70 (clutch). I have previously purchased and fitted a set and am very pleased with the quality and straight fitment. On a recent drive through the Black Spur the brakes preformed floorlessly and maintained a greater responsive feel, without any sign of fade. I do realise the lines aren't solely responsible (ie: i have fitted DBA4000 rotors with RaceBrakes RB74 pads and race braking fluid), but believe that they highly contributed to the progressive feel, especially after prolonged punishment. PS: I have no affiliation with MALTECH and will not personally benifit from this buy. The only reason i have decided to organise this, is to help fellow SAU members get a great product for a good price and to give something back from all other group buys i have participated in. AS THIS SECTION IS NOW CLOSED PLEASE PM ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THIS GROUP BUY People interested so far: Adzmax:R34 Gtt----------1xBrake set (?)---------1xClutch (?) Sorry to hear , hope car is back together soon.

I was thinking the same thing................... Guess some people are too lazy and tight to participate in their motorsport in a legal fashion, and use phrases like "It's too far" or "costs too much" to justify their illegal activities. Yet these are the same inexperieced people that will be the first ones to cry when they get caught. If you think $50 is too expensive to enter Calder/Heathcote (+ $10-$20 fuel), than you are basically saying that' your life and the lives of the spectators are not worth $70, when something goes wrong. GROW UP AND TAKE IT OFF THE STREETS! I myself have gone to Sandown (i live in the western suburbs) two weekends in a row, to support the SAU team. Hopefully i will be joining them for the next one. When you are serious about something, a 45-60min drive will not stop you. Alan

What's up with me being the only one representing SAU, by wearing the t-shirt. I know some of you don't have one, but others have no excuss . At such days we should all wear the SAU shirts. When the new SAU Vic shirt comes out, i want to see the team colours at the track days!
-
Ahhh- that was you! I was the one you were speaking to. Great looking car, was pretty quick down the straights. I still say "ditch the apexi boost controller" heard to much sh1t about them (regarding spikes, etc).
-
Quick question to those that have digital temperature readouts (ie: Apexi Pfc, Wolf, etc.) When you installed the oil cooler, did the WATER temp go down?
-
Has Mettina put a deposit/paid for the 2 belts, because i am counting 11 without Dainis. Not wanting to be an a55hole but I was hoping to have these installed by Winton .

Thanks

At most club days spectators are free, you may need to sign a form releasing the organizers and CAMS from legal liability.

1/ 2/ :slap: My name is not listed in gts-t vspec's list - Al x 1 Black long strap

PS: those mounts are solid . I could grab the cooler with both hands and the car moves b4 the cooler does. As stated earlier, 1/3 of core is exposed to direct air, 2/3 gets "2nd hand" air flow behind the ic.

Here are the pics (finally):

If your head gets any bigger my monitor will explode Was a good day, i will post up pics at another time.

A BIG to our events organizers, for yet another great cruise.

Braided Brake lines
Al replied to Mr R32 M-Spec's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
They directly fit/replace your existing lines. So if you can take the old ones off, you can fit these on. It was alot of fun bleeding the lines with my mechanic, especially the clutch line. Damn my arms and left leg were sore .
