  1. *BUMP* Just a reminder that this is happening this coming Sunday !
  2. When looking at the three top batteries consider the following: 1/ amp/hr rates 2/ cca/ccp (cold cranking amps) 3/ size 4/ efficiency. How quickly can the battery release the power to the system.
  3. Has anyone got the web site for upi ! I have already been looking at Prestige.
  4. When Brian gets his 34 out the garage for the first race, wasn't there a blue GT badge on the front quarter. Thus showing that the car is a R34 GT (non turbo). You got to take the movie for what it is, pure entertainment!! I liked it, and wouldn't mind seeing it again, hopefully at the drive-ins on the 21st.
  5. The battery clamps i bought are even cheaper than the jaycar ones. Apart from the battery, there is not alot more expense, maybe another $20 for clamps, cable and battery holder. NO you do not need to upgrade your alternator. Give me a call and we could meet up. 0427076490 Alan
  6. Can i test mine too! Just curious to know how loud my exhaust is.
  7. Meggala: I woudln't mind learning how to drift! PS: Just curious. What did a say for you to state: "al depends if you want to drift or not"
  8. The caps are there to filter out any spikes and also to decress the pulse demand on the battery and alternator. With a decent battery, like the optima, and the two caps that you have stated, you should NOT have any trouble.

    calder this fri?

It was raining down here till 8pm, so track would have been unsafe.
  10. I have the same battery in mine, but mine is an orange top, not too sure of the differance. Anyway these are great for car systems, and a 1 Farad Cap. wouldn't go astray either. Bought mine at: Battery World 1245A Sydney Rd., Fawkner, Vic, 3060 PH:9359 5111 PAID: $310 (with new battery clamps) Be warned, you will need to modify your battery tray, leads and clamps to fit it. But is well worth the effort! If you need help to fit it or if you just want to check mine out before buying it, give me a call as i have done mine myself.
  11. Put me down for a cap and a beanie too! What about using the typical "SAU" with the lights on either side. I know we have used this logo alot, but it says what we are about. The "skylinesaustralia.com in a marquee around the base of the cap", is also a good idea. How about getting the Model of our cars at the back of the cap. eg: 33 or R33. This is a mad idea, thanks Funky!
  12. Ha ha, Your car has small NUTS!! Must be pretty cold up in canberra! :bahaha: :shake: :bahaha:
  13. HOTR33 I would like to see your "type-m" on one of our cruises, just to compare it to my car. Even better, come to the next dyno day and it can be compared to another gtst with similar mods to yours. I don't know much about the models, but this is the first time i am hearing about differant turbo's and diff. ratio's. I would have thought the 3 differant turbo's would relate to the age of the car. ie: further development resulted in upgrading the turbo. Mine is also a '94 model, so i would have assumed it was the same as yours. What do you mean by: "THe Type-M has different lower body parts, Chamelion Paint."?
  14. I might come. But still not confident that we will not be harrassed(sp?) Will ur car be ready by then?
  15. WEST: Obvious question, but do you live in the western suburbs? I live in Delahey/Sydneham.

Dave don't forget a helmet, and to wear a long sleeve top. Personally i would wait for another Heathcote, as it is cheaper and you hace alot more runs, as lowlux has stated. I should be able to hear you going down the straight, from my house .
  17. When you say "left side" is that the passenger side or the drivers side? I have a 4" drain pipe supplying cold air to my custom air box on the passenger side, so i am NOT going to cover that . Tonygtst: Cool
  18. Due to it's long wheelbase it isn't to hard to keep a sourer in controll under drift, you just need more power, due to it's weight. Try driftin a cappacino, an inch to far out and you are in an uncontrollable spin . BTW, nice ride
  19. I also have height and damper adjustable coil-overs, and on the softest setting it is still very stiff! (i wouldn't have it any other way ) If i turn up a steepish drive way, i get some three wheel motion happening, with one of my rear wheels spinning freely about 1-3 inches off the road . If you'd like we could meet up and compare ride comfort. What brand are they? Mine are TEIN or OFFICE one of the two. What is D-Day, can you please fill me in?

Cost is $55 to enter your car and have 3 runs (approx.). Don't think many are going as a few people went to Heathcote last Sunday.
  21. Forgot to recheck this thread, sorry for the delay. Tonygtst why is MY pic (that i posted in another thread. months ago) of MY CAR labeled as 'ben_front"?????Is side monted plates illegal, i have never been pulled up on it? I thought that if a bar does not have a dedicated spot (and mine now doesn't ) that it is ok to mount on side as lonf as it is clearly visible. Ronin 09: I personally have not seen/noticed a differance, as the support bars, that held the middle bar, are still there, on either side of the cut out. I would think this mod is illegal, but may not be picked up as it looks factory. What mods are not legal now a days?
  22. Funny, my std wheel nuts are 21mm, and the factory jack socket bar fits them. Looks like that pic too. Did you measure it with a socket set?
  23. Glad to hear it! Hope to see ya at a cruise!
