"its lucky i piked" MAX: WTF!

Jon771, its funny that when you think you got the best price, someone comes up with a better one a day later, lol! Do these amps come with receipts and 1 yr warrenty? Ours did

Wheel alignment is required! Having lowered suspension causes some -ve camber, ask them to adjust this a neutral a possible. They wont get it neutral but it shouldn't be too bad. There are also camber kits avaliable to give better adjustment. Find the "whiteline" web site as they have these kits, JMS may also have 'em. Tell the guys to keep the "toe" neutral. When a car has camber it wears the tyres from the inside. To get even wear across the tyre the alignment people adjust the "toe" in negatively. The problem with this is that it eats away at the tyres faster! In my opinion, better to have slight worn tyres on the inside (over time), than to have tyres going bold in a very short time. My 2c Alan

R33 Rear Stealth Spoiler
Al replied to grepin's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
May i ask hoe much they cost brand new, as i would consider buying one. JMS have one, but i would like to compare prices. Do Silins have a web site? THANKS Alan -
nizmokid: This one is for you. Shows that the order is to be sent to Hobart.

Thsi morning i decided that the post had been discussed enough times, and went out and ordered the amps, which have been paid in full. Small risk, but if anyone backs out i will sell the amp for $332. Hope no one does though, as it means more hassle for myself. Sent everyone involved a PM so please respond accordingly. Even you Maximus007, hopefully i could get one more, but i must know tonight or early morning, CHECK YOUR PM!! Sorry RGS, i hope i haven't offended you by taking control of the purchase . Also managed to get individual receipts . Hear is a pick od the order/receipt form, as proof of purchase.

weekdays is out of the question as i have a full time job, but if i am in your areas i will give you a buzz. skatin: i received your pm, THANKS!

Agreed - Way too easy to get licence in australia! In Europe they have to keep log books and clock up at least 120hrs driving experience.

i am 'on call' this weekend, so we may have to meet at another date, or PM me your modile numbers and i will get in touch, also pm me your suburb, as i am on the road and may be in the area. Nizmokid: this does not include postage but PM your nearest Jaycar location and i will see if we could get them to organise on there for you.

With my stock rims, i start loosing traction (very slightly), in first and second gears, at 5K rpm. This is in a straight line and full traction b4 hand. NO BULL5H1T!!

OMG! I forgot about the stock R34 GTR rims! They would look absolutely mad with that kit and colour. What happened to them? Just my opinion, no offence intended . Alan

I decided to attach a picture of a dyno sheet of my car. This was done a few weeks ago and I wasn’t going to post it as the power rating/figure doesn’t mean squat. I am just showing you a comparison between the wolf 3d ecu and the factory ecu. Back round info: This was done, as I wasn’t happy with my dyno result on the Dr_Drift Dyno day. My mechanic is in the process of purchasing a dyno, so the rep. from dyno dynamics brought the dyno to the w/shop to demonstrate all its operations. (Lucky for me, my car was the test car ) Now the rep did all the setting up and driving, whilst my mechanic was in the passenger seat, I was on the sidelines. So if the dyno dynamic rep. can’t do an accurate run, who can? (Read: This is a true reading of the car’s rwkw). I also put my factory rims back on, as I knew my 19 “s would produce a lower kW reading (physics) After doing a few runs with the wolf, we plugged back in the factory ecu to see the difference. A couple of runs were done on the ecu with the same results. I do not know if the ecu needs time to recalibrate itself after being unplugged, but the results were huge. Also, before buying the wolf the car would backfire and loose power while on hi-boost, this is what prompted me to get the wolf 3d. *All runs were done without the huge fan at the front of the car, as there was no room on the dyno dynamics trailer to fit it. Thus, intake temps. would have been higher than normal. Mods: 13psi Fmic Sealed pod 3” exhaust, turbo back H/D clutch PS: -Looking at the graph I feel some more gains (without effecting drivability, or a/f ratios above 12.2) could be had with more tunning, am I right or does the graph look good? (Especially around the dip btw 2500-4500rpm, and the peak power at 6100rpm) PPS: - The “MAX 140.0 kW” was for the factory ecu, the wolf 3d made 189.7 kW (NOT in ‘shoot out’ mode)

Glad to see that my logical thinking was correct. (Glad for myself, but feel sorry for the person in question) With any mods, you should always sit down and think what your long term goal is, and then persue it, in a researched manner, by setting up all the support systems first. my 2c worth. Alan
-
OOOOOH BABY!!! Man that looks nice! Not over the top but but a mean presance, good choice. All you need now is a set of awesome 19" rims!
-
I have install the wolf 3d "plug-in/plug and play" in my car, while running the stock turbo. I felt this was the better order to complete mods with. I notice a big up in performance, especially in the low to mid range.VERY PLEASED WITH THE ECU :uh-huh:

Just realised $9 cheaper!! :) (tight arse!) :D J/K! :bahaha:

REALLY GOOD NEWS! Just spoke to the store manager, at Jaycar Coburg, and asked him if he can match the price. After about 1/2 hour of calls/web/negotiations i managed to get a price to match the one given. It isn't cheaper, but A LOT more convieniant to buy the amps in Coburg, (WARRENTY reasons) He doesn't keep 4, or more, amps in stoke so we still have to wait 2 days till amps arrive. Price: $332 each (for 4 or more units) So what do you all think, i need a definate answer and deposit soon, should we go through Coburg. Alan.

Just a logical thought from a "none expert". If the engine has 550cc injectors and running the factory ECU, wouldn't the ecu be flooding the engine? As the 550cc inj. can flow more fuel than the 370cc. For this set-up you must really run an aftermarket ecu as it would operate alot smoother and unlock ALOT more power from the engine. Just my 2c.

PICS!! please

There were a few people who missed out: Backups if definites drop out: mash Undecided funkymonkey chopobo king_kw13 Wardest Try and organise another one. Ask DJ for the phone number to that tint-a-car place, as he may give you the same deal with less cars. You can only try.

HOTPL-8 (reads: Hot plate / refering to tail lights) Selling this for a friend as he is selling the car. I am not buying it as i have my own personallized plates. BEST OFFER You can post your offer here or PM me. Alan
-
That would not be factory. I don't think R33 came out with a factory tint. The old tint should peel off easily, the guys at the tint-a-car will be able to do it, b4 retinting it for you.
-
I think a more resonable way to do it is to give you $100 b4 ordering and the remaining balance on receival of goods. Sorry, but i never use ebay so not interested in their rating. This $100 covers you for postage/insurance and part of the amp cost. If someone backs out after ordering, then you have approx. $80 profit and a new amp. that can be sold. I for one, do not give away $100 if i don't intend to complete the deal. I also prefer to give the money in person, at your conveniance.

the new ford blue (something close to it, anyway)
