  1. Thanks DJ! Good to meet a few new faces. Darker tint would have looked smik, but best to keep it lookin legal, enough hassles with police already.
  2. In the wet, you ALWAYS have to be careful! One night i was at a mates house and i just dicovered my clutch was f@rked. I had rained 2 hrs earlier b4 leaving his joint to go home. Decided to take it easy, came to a big round about, near my house, put the car in third and drove around it. No traction loss coming out of the intersection, but in the straight, 80km/h zone, the ass end kicked out unexpected. As i was in cruise mode (mental state) i 5hit myself, then corrected the car. Surpised at what had happened, i slowed back to 40, kept it in 3rd and did it again for fun !
  3. Should do it easily. Use 2 channels to run splits and 2 channels, in bridged mode, to run 12".Hay, looks like we have 4, or more, people interested NOW! :uh-huh: RGS keep us informed. Alan
  4. I second skyr33's comments
  5. What are you refering to?
  6. IT HAS TO GO TO PLAN, MY CAR IS STRIPPED!

    The next cruise????

For you only. Sounds like you don't like to drive your car. Just likes to own one. :bahaha:

    The next cruise????

Hey lowlux have you seen this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=14921To everyone this cruise covers both sides of town. If you live in the north or west it starts close and finishes on the other side of town. If you live in the south or east, it starts far but finishes close to home. THIS WAY EVERYONE SHOULD BE HAPPY, HOPEFULLY.
  9. Join in this group buy. Where else are you going to find a new 4x100Wrms amp for $333. Reveiws have also been very good on these amps, just do a search.
  10. I beleive hi-flowing is worth it approx. $2200 and will be doing it on my car if i do not find a cheaper alternative, that isn't too laggy.
  11. The ecu is programmed for a plump-back, this floods the motor for a split second, to compensate for the lack of air. Best bet is to put the stock BOV on and test it. Could solve all your problems, and make your car more enjoyable to drive and legal.
  12. Just as good as the work on your front bar! :shake:
  13. just a thought DO YOU HAVE AN AFTERMARKET BOV (TO ATMOSPHERE)? This to can cause alot of problems.
  14. How old is the photo? How many members in it? Which cruise was it taken at?
  15. Read about this in HPI mag, problem is worse if you have a bigger turbo, should not really happen if engine is stock. As you accelerate or rev, the butterfly in throttle body is open, once you let go of the accelerator the butterfly shuts. Due to the suction of air under acceleration, some of the air bounces off the butterfly and goes back through your a/f meter. This cools the wires in the a/f meter tricking the computer into thinking the engine requires more fuel, thus floods the motor for a split sec. HKS have a device to overcome this problem, not sure of the name. Before doing anything, make sure the a/f meter is clean.
  16. It could also, and most probably be, a f@rked seal on the tank. It is not normal for the petrol to drip out for 5 min. on the floor, not to mention dangerous. Hate to make you feel bad but better be safe than sorry. When i got my company van (already 3yrs old, from new) i noticed that after filling the tank, to full, petrol would drip out the bottom. I decided to have a look one day and got on the floor, while at the station. The petrol wasn't coming out of a 'over flow pipe' and the leak appeared to start up high (out of sight). Told my boss to book it in for a check. The MERC. dealership was surprised to find the seal stuffed, especially on a 3yr old van. Sorry about the story but just speaking from experience. PS: if your seals are stuffed (due to the car's age) vapours can be escaping out of the tank, thus you are loosing petrol. NOT TO MENTION THAT VAPOURS ARE THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE OF A PETROL EXPLOSSION. For your safety i would get it checked out properly, by asking your mechanic to remove the tank and inspect it. My 2c Alan
  17. Sorry to say, but what did you expect! you can not compare a 2003 model car to a 93-98 model. Yes, the R33 is an awsome package for the price. PRICE being to word!! What did your brother pay for his BA V8? Take this price, then subtract your price, then use the differance to modify your car. Now that's what you will call an even match up! But be careful as with the resulting power, from your mods, it will be hard to get traction and the BA have traction control! Get a front/down pipe and a hi-flow cat. A cat back is practically useless only looks good. You may also be loosing power due to your pod sucking up hot air from the engine. Only use a pod when it is partitioned with a cold air feed. Use you std air box, with snorkle, and put a good hi-flow filter replacement. Also increase boost to 12-13psi max, via a bleed valve (preferably switchable between low:7psi and high:12-13psi). After these mods it start to get a little more expensive. Just my 2c Alan
  18. Nothing wrong with SAU! More opinions/help froma national source. Group photo would be great though. That's if most people would TURN UP FOR A MEET!!
  19. sounds VERY interesting! keep us posted.
  20. On the R33, it is found on top of the engine just b4 the throttle body. Mine is just behind/below the strut brace in this pic.
  21. Forgot to mention; keep an eye one the temp, due to the stock ic, and ensure the engine is not pinging/detonating
  22. Nicely said STEVE! If you do get the turbo, just throw the car on the dyno and keep the a/f ratios at a safe level (~12.2) ie: keep increasing boost, from 5psi or so, till max power is acheived WITH A SAFE A/F RATIO.
  23. Door trims were piss easy Everything else was also easy, but took a little longer, until i evaluated the best way to remove them. ALL out!! Looks as though the car is about to get a full respray.
  24. Wasted but thoughly enjoyed!!Keep mods to a minimum. Is youe exhaust from turbo back or cat. back? If from cat. back invest in a 3" front/dump pipe from turbo with a hi-flow cat. Also make sure you muffler is a straight through type, as these are less restictive (3" all the way through). In crease boost to about 12-13psi. I wouldn't worry about a pod, as it only sucks in hot engine air (without being partitioned with cold air induction from front bar ) But replace the factory filter with a hi-flow item, such as a K&N or HKS, etc. GOOD LUCK and enjoy! Alan
  25. Should have a plumb-back BOV But if it doesn't, you could only F@RK UP YOUR TURBO! nothing major to worry about
