With cars you will always loose money, only modify a car for YOURSELF! I have spent alot of money on my car, as have alot of other members in this forum, and i know that if i sell it (and i don't intend to!) i will only get a few thousand dollars above market value (maybe 22-21K). Sorry buddy but that is life. You should always get quotes for insurance B4 buying the car. I wanted to but a standard WRX but was not able to get insurance for it. The same company was willing to insure me with an R33, with any legal mods. Now i thank the insurance company for the illogical regulations, that lead me to purchase my car.

THANKS Max for the PM! Im up for the island, but be warned, there will alot of cops on the road. So i suggest we take it easy. DJ- did you find your way back OK? I thought that mondays meet was great, found time to sit and have a laugh with the group.

IGNORE THIS CRUISE! I went to his last organized cruise and no-one was there. Only 4 police cars and a few radar guns around the epping plaza! refer to these threads: 1/Responses to his first cruise post. 2/His claimed successful cruise YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! Alan C.

I don't know who you are, or whether you are a 14yr. old kid talking 5h1t or an cop organising a sting (otherwise known as intrapment) I came to this cruise that you have proclaimed as a success, and this is what i had to say to your last thread. and these are the times you posted! Meet at 9:30pm behind Epping Plaza (Northern Suburbs)....depart at 10:00pm. I was there at exactly 9:33pm and left the plaza (mega pissed) at 9:56pm (and have 2 mates to back my statement!) This is what other reliable/trustworthy members saw at the plaza as they drove past. These forums are for enthusiusts who enjoy meeting up with other ppl. and cruising to different places in a law abiding manner!! We do not need someone like yourself to spool our night, in whatever way. I URGE ALL MEMBERS TO IGNORE THIS MEMBER AND ANY NEW MEMBERS ORGANIZING A CRUISE! I have learnt my lesson! Alan C.

Sly33 How lean is the a/f mixtures to acheive ~260rwkw. Just remember that an engine makes more power when it is running lean, but how long will it last b4 something blows? I have a Wolf 3D plug-in on my car and it is making 190rwkw with the a/f mixtures at ~12.2 and the std injectors have a duty cycle of 88% at full load (std fuel system, soon to be upgraded). -How much rwkw can a rising rate regulator give you and still have a safe a/f mixture? (5-10rwkw?) -When you say a 'rising rate reg.' is it the same as a 'fuel reg.', or are there two different types of regulators?

Hi-flow std turbo. full engine management 550cc injectors fuel pump fuel regulator and most importantly, a GOOD TUNE! Optional: ADJ. ex. cam gear These mods, along with good tyres will definately get you into the 12sec bracket. It will also improve on the drivablity of the car. Alan C.

Max - Thought it was, but wasn't sure. It's just that this type of stupidity reflects badly on us. Max's GF (Sorry really bad with remembering names) - Throw in a turbo and run some impressive 1/4 times, then i may be interested. C YA ALL NEXT TIME! Alan -

THANKS FOR A GOOD DAY OUT PPLZ! Hope everyone got home safely. PS: If that immature F@RK in his silver r33 on P-Plates reads this, SAU is NOT about doing burn-outs in a public car park. That's the kind of 5hit that attracts all the BS we so often complain about. If your intention is to be a D***HEAD then stop affiliating with this forum/club. -
Apart from the ironing board, mounted on the back, it looks great. I would actually fit a stealth wing similar to the JMS R33 drift car. OOOPS, Just saw T0nyGTSt's pic. That's EXACTLY what i am talking about. VERY NICE!

THANKS FOR ALL YA INPUT GUYS!! Looks like i need to go back to the single turbo idea, as the deal with NISMO_BOY may fall through. It was pure coinsidance that he was selling this setup at the time i posted this idea. But i consider $4000 for basically a block, manifold (modified rb26DETT) and 2 worn turbos a bit rich, not to mention risky. But now i am back to my original delema. What turbo will best do the job and has the least lag? I am under no illusion that i will get more lag, just want the best package.

You could have saved yourself a lot of heart ache by REPLACING your battery with your other one.

-Has he recently installed a new head unit? -Check the fuses, as there is one fuse that powers all the above.

I went to Hobart for 6 weeks, for work. Suffered major skyline deprevation, especially with all those mountains!!!! Would like to go back for a couple of days with my car and have some serious fun. Good thing about it, is that 10mins outside the city and you are heading up the twisting roads of the mountain.

HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE EASTER

For Dragging you should have about 16-18 psi (when cold), this will increase after the burnout.

My mechanic has just got a wicked set of forged pistons from the states, i think they are EAGLE but not sure, i will confirm and get a price. These things were super light, and can easily handle in excess of 600hp and they weren't that expensive. While you got the motor apart you should at least replace the conrod bolts with H/D items, as these are usually the culprit for most blown engines.

Isn't 3rd gear the power gear! (no runs are done in 2nd, also a power gear). I have taken my car up to 170-180km/h in third gear.

Thanks Milk! So sad/sorry to read about your little baby . Glade to hear that you and your friends got out OK. Any plans for a replacement? i understand that it may be too early to ask. Well hope to see ya around.

Hi Kylie, :wavey: Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on the wise choice of purchasing an R33, hope to see you on the cruises. Was surprised to be asked about my avator, as it is not so clear. So hear is a pic that i just got devaloped (was from the great ocean road cruise) C Ya Around! Alan

This turbo sounds pretty serious. I read this thread but thought the turbo may be a little too big for my liking. With this power you will need at least the following mods: -Some kind of engine management, i personally feel that a s-afc will not be safe for you engine when making this power. -550cc injectors -Larger fuel pump -fuel regulator -External waste gate(no mention of it in the thread) -Maybe a oil/air seperator (due to the high boost required) NOTES: -11psi of boost is not sufficant to get that power, ask seller how much psi was required to acheive 250kw at all 4 wheels, and if the car was running pump fuel on the dyno run. -There is alot of things involved to acheive this power. -Boost may not hit till at least 4K rpm (if not higher), can you live with this lag? I am not trying to turn you off, just informing you of what little i know. Lately i too have been considering a turbo upgrade, so i have done some research. Infact i have very recently posted up a thread about building an RB25DETT (twin turbo setup) to see if i can acheive 280-320rwkw with less lag than a 600hp turbo. Hope all goes well!! Alan

I'm in, depending on date. Price sounds great, thanks DJ.
