"OOH, lets all go for a cruise, as long as it's near my house, i don't want to drive too far....." WTF Every time we organise something it has to be in the S.E. suburbs. You ALL want to cruise but don't want to drive your cars. This said, i will still be coming (hopefully).

400hp Roller Bearing Garrett Turbo
Al posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
A friend is selling the turbo below as he has decided to fit a 600hp turbo to his rebuilt SR20, instead. This turbo is brand NEW and has NEVER been fitted. So far the only details i have are listed below: 400hp Garrett with Actuator roller bearing To fit a SR20 NEW in Box $2450 (States price is below, what he paid for it) Any interest please PM or Email: [email protected] Alan -
Recently i have been seriously looking for a bigger turbo for my car, but wasn't too keen on the lag factor. My aim to to acheive 280-320rwkw, but i would like to keep it's drivability. B4 i go on: i have done a comprehensive search and wasn't able to find anything on this issue, so please if you know of a thread post it up below. For those in the know i would REALLLLLY appreciate your input and advise, i am all "ears"! My idea is to replace my turbo and manifold with a twin turbo setup (gtr style). By using 2 smaller turbos (350hp each) this should, i think, produce about 400kw at the crank. MODIFICATIONS (Things i know that need replacement): -New manifold (Can a GTR manifold fit on the RB25det head?) -Custom front pipes -Dual oil/water cooling lines for turbos (can the original line be split into two to cool both?) -Custom intake pipes (from filter to turbo and from turbo to fmic) CURRENT MODS: -Wolf 3D V4.51 R33 Plugin -Fount Mount Intercooler -Cold Air induction (Pod in sealed partition with 4" drain pipe feed from front bar. -Adjustable boost -3" hi-flow exhaust system from turbo -H/D clutch MODS TO BE COMPLETED WITH UPGRADE -550cc injectors -bosch fuel pump -bosch fuel regulator -Ceramic coating of all piping (ex. manifold, intercooler pipes, turbo cover, plenium, exhaust from turbo to cat., etc) -ADJ. ex. cam gear (optional) QUESTIONS: -Is this project possible and financially fissable? -Which turbo's would best do the job? -Any other mods that you would recommend doing (cams, etc.)? -Has this been done B4? -How does the GTR manifold work? Does it use 3 cylinders per turbo? -Any other information/points are most welcome. Again, i would REALLY appreciate everyones input and like to say THANKS in advance. ALAN C.

That's why i sealed off the cuts, to look as though it is meant to be like that. Firstly a cop may not jerry to the modification and i probably get done for some other BS, secondly the road worthy tester wouldn't know about it. The mesh inside the square also acts as a support, so the bumper is not flimsy. The plastic welder charge me about $160, that also included priming and sanding the middle section ready for painting. Unfortunately, while sanding back the rest of the bumper we found some impurities in the paint work. So the bumper had to be sanded right back and then high filled and primed to produce a decent job. The paint was matched very well, as could be seen by the mirrors (they were done at the same time), but the bumper did not come out perfect due to the undercoat. More layers might have solved this, but the car had to be ready for Summer Nats 16.

This happened to me a few years back with my previous car. Woke up on a saturday afternoon, after a late night, and was chillin out around the house. After about an hour or so my old man walks in and cailmly asks "why did you leave your doors open last night?" I was like WTF!! Ran outside to find all doors open, window smashed, etc. Lucky for me, if you can call it that, is that they only managed to steal my head unit and cd changer, as my amps behind the seat (in the ski hole) were "pop-rivited" to a metal "false wall" (they bent the bracket trying to wedge them out, but with 8 thick rivots hold each one, fat f@rken chance) and they could not open the boot. I swear if i catch a prick breaking into my property, they will taste the metal shaft sitting near my bed. End of rant. Alan

So is your antenna working know? Please explain, as i work as a electronic feild technecian and consider soldiering and covering with heat shrink to be the best and safest way to connect wires.

I'm insterested too! Even though i would like the best price, i am willing to pay extra for a better quality film.

I have been told about a cruise this friday (through my car club) i truely hope it is the same one. Don't know if i will come with my car, as i hate cruising by myself, may ride shotgun in a mates car.

Jamezilla Do you have motion/infra red sensors in the car? With a car like that, i would seriously consider an upgrade in car security. Really sorry to read about loosing all those sentimental goods. A car can be fixed/replaced, but goods that have alot of personal value are priceless. One thing that wasn't stollen were your memories, sounds a little corny, but your gf will always be in your mind and heart.

I did the same thing, but i took the bumper and the cut-offs to a "plastic welder" to cover/seal the holes. It came perfect! The only way to tell it has been repaired is by taking the bumper off and looking at it from the other side. :uh-huh: This is the clearest shot i have so far:

Really pissed to hear that mate. What f@rken a55ho1es!!! Hope you get your car back to scratch and that the insurance doesn't stuff you around!! Hate to say this, but sounds like some inside knowledge. How did they know that your alarm is not equiped with some kind of motion detector. The reason the alarm did not go off is probably due to a lack of motion/infra red sensors. If they didn't open the doors or try to start the car the alarm could not detect the theives. If you wish to not install any motion detectors (as they are known to sometimes false alarm) an idea to to install a 'trigger switch' (similar to the ones in your doors or under your 'hood' and 'boot' lids) in your 'center console' and 'glove box';) . A theif will almost definately look in these areas for goods, and once they are opened they break the electrical circuit and the alarm will trigger. :uh-huh:

PUSHEAD - sorry to say, YOU ARE 100% WRONG. Even in your thread that refers to preditor666's thread, he clearly states: " The slashed ones are the stripey ones in the two colours. Green/red - Power Antenna up/down " When the radio is turned on, it sends a +12V signal to power antena. This triggers a relay which uses a separate 12V line to power the motor up or down. Ground is via body. If you are using the tape deck or cd player there is no voltage on this wire, thus the antena remains down. Zdenko - Did your inital problems come about by themselves, or did you install a new head unit (or something else) and then the problems presented themselves? PS: Please PM me once you have answered the question, so that i can respond, as i may forget to revisit this thread. Also include the thread title.

sorry bud, but that sounds a little pricey to me. If you are really interested to sell it, please PM with a reasonable price.

I agree with R31 Skyline Chick 100% There are some 'auto' grade double sided tapes that fix the plastic strips on the side of the cars. If these heavy strips don't fall off (most of them don't), then i am sure it can easily support your badge. You may need to go to a panel beater, as most of the commercial brands found at bunnings, k-mart, etc. are crap. PS: Let me congratulate you on a very wise decision. Some gt-r copy kits look good, but to see the gt-r badge on a gts is just disapointing.

I have to agree with you 100%. What i should have also wrote was that the only difference the owner felt was the extra "lag/sluggishness" off boost. I guess the only way to tell is by getting the car on a dyno and doing a few runs with ex. and a few without.

If there are alot of cars running that type of power, with only a 3" or 3.5" exhaust, it obviously not required to have a 5". So many w/shops can't be wrong, the person who told you that either has no idea about turbo cars or is talking 5h1t. What it an exhaust place, trying to drum up some extra cash?
-
Well done buddy!! Can't wait to hear about that turbo upgrade.

In that case, give me a call! I am no expert, but after my experience with TTF, i know what to look for. We could meet up at EAS or i could swing past you place after work. MOB: 0427076490 Alan

Get a full exhaust, if possible, with a hi-flow cat.

I have been told numerous times that the AU Falcon rims will bolt straight onto a R33. I am soon going to buy a pair of 15" AU rims to put some slicks on, to help with traction for the drags. I do not know weather the AU rims would clear the front callipers.
