  1. The speed limiter is controlled by the ecu, you can buy a device that tricks the ecu that the car is doing less than 180km/h. Sounds like your immobilizer is not turbo compatible. When i bought my alarm i ensured the alarm was compatible with a turbo timer. Basicly the immobilizer does not activate until the timer finishes, but the alarm is active.
  2. Personally i would forget about spacers and find a rim that is suited to the car. It took me more that 6 months (from start to finish) but i am very happy with the end result.
  3. I think you are talking about those cheap disks type spacers, if the spacer is too thick then you may be right, i don't know. Just think of the porshe style spacer as a second hub that bolts on to the original hub, they have their own center circular lip. If the porsches use them they must be safe. The reason i ditched the idea is because the engineer, that TTF paid to do the job, could not get the diameter of the rings, at the back and front of the spacer spot on (2 attempts). This caused the car to vibrate. At low speed, 10-30km/h, the car felt as if it was driving on oval shaped wheels

    How Loud!

Bigger exhaust does not allways produce more power. As with most things, once you exceed a certain size, it is pointless going bigger. A freind took off his 3" exhaust from the turbo/dump pipe, at the drags last year, and he lost 0.1 of a second
  5. Thanks, for your quick reply, i didn't know that the HKS GT2540 was only rated at 350ps. I am looking for a turbo rated between 450hp-600hp. Sorry, hope you find a buyer! Alan
  6. I don't think R33 are prone to "fishtailing", but when i dump the clutch at anything over 4K the ass end always kicks to the left. This is predictable, and anyone who knows their car can controll this and keep it staight. The other night i had a P plater in a integra type R trying to show off in front of me. He booted it, so i followed, but when he turned off the car was in a fishtail and kissed the curb. I too turned off (on the way home) but once i saw that he couldn't drive for 5h1t, i backed off and gave him plenty of room. HOW THE FARQ CAN SOMEONE FISHTAIL A FWD CAR IN THE DRY!!

    THANKS!! benm
  8. Spacers are illegal if they are not permanently fixed to the hub or rim. The "porsche" style spacers i was talking about, bolted onto the hub via the 5 studs, then the rim bolted onto the spacer via a different set of 5 studs that were part of the spacer.
  9. I may be interested in the second turbo. How does $1500 sound. I live in Melbourne and can inspect, pick-up and pay cash. Can you please supply all specs related to these turbos, via PM or e-mail: [email protected] -Does it bolt straight on to a RB25DET ex. manifold and plumbing mods are required? -How old is it (km and months)? -why are you selling it? -What are the specs? -Is it high or low mounted? Thanks for your time and help. Hope to hear from you soon. ALAN C.

WERE DO WE GET IT, IN MELBOURNE! Please.
  11. Glade to hear everyone got out of the accident intact. We should all take note of this experience and take care on the roads, especially with winter on our door step. I want to keep seeing all ya faces on our cruise nights, etc.
  12. Have you tried a Nissan Dealership. I bought a pair of new genuine front bar indicators assy., about 40% cheaper than the wreckers were asking. Nissan Aust. do stock R33 parts. ps: As Nissan Aust. w/house is in Melb. it only took 7hrs from the time of order (8am) to the time of pick-up (3:30pm). It may only take a day or so to transport to Sydney. ps2:You may have to try a couple of dealerships, as it costs the dealership about 5K to get the parts catalog for each car, so some may have not justified the expense. Try the city (busy) ones first.
  13. I took me 4 months of constant BULL5H1T to find a rim that would clear the front calipers. At first the tyre place wanted to shave a mm or two off the calliper, i told them that was not an option (not in those words). Then they had 2 attempts at fabricating some "Porsche style" wheel spacers, those were farked, so i told them to look for another rim. Found a set i really liked, and convinced myself to pay 5.5K for 'em. When they came in, they still did not clear the calliper. Was put off for 3 months (used money to mod. engine). Decided to give it another go and found a rim that bolted straight on and cleared front callipers. Now i am happy, as the car looks complete. ps: I was limited in selection as i only wanted 19" rims
  14. The Poll can't lie. HAHA!! *gives a hi-5 to the person responsible* Looks like we are going north!! (coburg) All you SE ppl. always wanting to cruise, but not wanting to drive wtf!! Come down to the north for a change.
  15. Help, i can't post a vote for Coburg! For some reason the ballot boxes are not there! Need to vote now, mus..............
  16. COBURG!!! We had a cruise to Dandy drive-ins (even thou i was unable to attend), we should go to coburg this time round. Then after we could cruise to Bell Str. Macca's broooo. It will be fulllyy siiick. j/k:bahaha: All those mario's in the commonwhores won't know what hit 'em.
  17. When i got the car, the stock rims had/have a hard compound yocohama tyres (205/55/16). The ride quality feels almost the same with the 19's (Hankook silica). I was pleasantly surprised.
  18. ALWAYS TAKE THE DETAILS OF THE OTHER DRIVER. You may not take action, but what if she buckled the rim, or damaged the diff., etc. These things you can not see when parked, but while driving home you might feel the car vibrating, or hear something crunching. It is just a piece of mind, to have something to go back to, if a problem arised. Now that you did not take any details, she can deny it actually happened.
  19. Sounds good!
  20. coco69 The 7 on the stock boost gauge is not psi, 7 = approx. 13psi
  21. INASNT The rims only sometimes rub the plastic mud gaurd, in the front wheel, arches when i turn the wheel. And when i sometimes get the car airborne over a bump on Melbournes 5h1tty roads. Stiff Tein adjustable suspension play a major roll in not rubbing. As you could see in the pic, the car is not dumped on it's nuts, as if it was lower i would possible have to flare the gaurds. Also this keeps the cops off my back as a coke can can fit around all sides with at least 1/2" to spare.
  22. Got home put my stokies on and headed to Calder. What a difference the rims made, i think i found my missing KW's, time will tell on tuesday. Anyway as posted previously the fears came true. Hard suspension + hard compound 205 rubber = noooo traction!! The tyres wouldn't enen smoke up on the burnout!! They were spinning like crazy, but no smoke. All in all a mad/fun night had by all (i hope) Out of 3 runs my best time was [email protected] :goddam: :goddam:
  23. My car will be entered!!! Alan: 0427076490 (Mob) Have to remember to grab my brothers helmet. Have to get home, put my stockies back on, then drive down to calder. Hope i finish early! I was considering putting some semi slicks on, but decided against it as i want to see the gains (If any, but better be otherwise i am going to kick some more BUTT on Saturday morning) of my modifications since my last runs. The rims will be wearing 205 yokahamas (sp). Unfortunately they are a hard compound, and mated with my stiff Tein suspension, the car has a far from optimal set-up. I am just laying down a bunch of excuses to cover my ass when someone else kicks my butt down the 1/4 . Just remember to be gentle as this is only my second time, i don't believe in street drags (my license is my job and vis-versa), and i owned a 350,000+km XF falcon on GAS before this!!! :uh-huh: :burnout: All in all i am going to give it a go and have a fun evening with you lot! :burnout: DJ_L3ThAL DON'T BE A PUUUSSSSSY and have a run. Once you see all the other 'lines going down the 1/4 you will regret not entering.
  24. Who needs music, when you have the ROAR of your exhaust to keep you grinning from ear to ear. Don't forget the sounds and smells when the rears are spinin' at 100km, on stand-still :burnout: :burnout:
