  1. NOOO! They just fit staight on, no MODS needed, but having Tein suspension does help . . Not to mention that the stockies are much lighter and have a smaller rolling diameter :uh-huh: .
  2. No problem predator666 anytime.
  3. I am running 275/30/19 on 19x8 rims. So you may be able to get away with it.
  4. GTS-t VSPEC What is rotational idle? Can you please list all other specs/options not listed in my original post Thanks Alan
  5. Hi Ciao, Welcome to the forum, hope to meet up soon. Before doing an fmic i would seriously replace your front pipe and cat. as these are causing a major restriction and robbing you of easy rwkw. Go 3" all the way, from turbo, with a "hi-flow cat". Just my 2c worth c ya Alan

  7. Damn it! You guys really got to give more notice, as some of us work at work and can't get on the net till we get home j/k . But seriously at least a 24hr post. This is the second one i missed. Good to see ya all had fun *Turns his head and walks away sobbing*
  8. Dave Thanks. I do notice a differance in power/drivability between my 19"s and stockies. But hay, the 19"s look awesome in the R33's wheel arches. Next time the stockies are going back on for the dyno. Poyz 205rwkw was a bull5h1t figure quoted to me by the tunner. But he may have got confused with another burgundy r33. The dyno this guy tunes on does not have a printer, so i had to graph to back his statement. His statement was "The dyno he uses is only for tunning purposes, and he doesn't take note of peak power. Even though i am not happy with peak power (which doesn't mean 5h1t on the road) the general power/torque/drivability has definately improved. Sam has stated that some fine tunning will produce better results, as the ecu is tunned rich to be extremely safe for the engine. All components are running correctly, the car does goe hard. According to the wolf hand controller, at max load the injectors are running at 88%, eng. temp.=84-86C, the unit has a fuel pump warning light, and other features.

  10. I have a Wolf installed in my R33, and it make a great improvement on drivability. Even though i didn't make a big figure on Dr_Drifts Dyno day, i am still very pleased with the unit. I am trying to arrange with Sam, a date to retune the unit, as i am not satisfied with the previous tune. This has nothing to do with the ecu, more a case of the tunners ability and knowledge of the unit's features and the car's limitations. Who are you talking to, in regards to the purchase, installation and tunning of the Wolf? I live in melbourne too, so if you want to see how the unit runs give me a call on 0427076490 (Alan). If you are interested on Tuesday, 8/4/03, i am taking the car to my mechanic to throw it on a new Dyno Dynamics dyno, that he might be purchasing. On this day i will do a run with the wolf and a run with the factory ecu. Just to make sure that the tunner (not EAS) has at least done something. Don't get me wrong the car feels a hell of alot stronger in the low-mid ranges. But a visual comparison is always satisfying. Enough babble, call me if you are interested. Here is a fact sheet from Steve, at AEM. Page 1 of 2:
  11. How long is the straight? We will need at least 2 miles for a high speed run. Has anyone organising this event thought about liability insurance. I belong to a car club, and whenever a public event (like this one) is organised insurance is a priority.
  12. I am a little confused, is it happening at Anglesea, as everyone is still talking about Avolon. If at Anglesea what is the distance of the straight? DATES: I CAN NOT PAY UNTILL I HAVE SOME DATES!
  13. I have something similar to Fast31. It takes a bit to get use to but is a great compromise, i have been told that it can support 350+rwkw. Stay away from full Brass Button.
  14. Call me stupid, but what are you talken about and where can i find it?
  15. Really, i have not come across these threads. Any reasons why? I still beleive the wolf is a great product with alot of potential. It is just that the tunning has not been done properly. When i first installed the wolf i paid for the tune (approx. $180, which i thought was too cheap for a initial tune. cheap=quick), but there was a software bug with the wolf relating to A/C. The unit was changed and upgraded by wolf, and then re-tunned free of charge. This is where i think the problem is, because it was free the tunner would not have taken the time to test all variables. I am now going to ask Steve, at AEM (wolf), who is thier most compitant tunner, as pay good money to do the job properly. I really was NOT bull5h1ttin you when i quoted this figure, as this is what i was told. The reason i beleived it, is that that my car made 183rwkw with just pod, full zorst, and 13psi. I have a chart to prove this, and that particular dyno was checked only a month before my run, by a rep. from Dyno Dynamics. So i assumed with fmic, cai, and ecu a 25rwkw gain was reasonable. Anyway, on Tues. week the car is going on a new Dyno Dynamic dyno, with the stock wheels. To see if: a/ The rolling diamater makes a differance and; b/ Compare the graphs of the two ecu's (stock and wolf) i will let you know the results. In the meantime i am very keen to see how the car runs on Friday down the 1/4. I wouldn't mind running against that R33 that made the 183rwkw with minor mods, just to see what relavince the dyno has on the "street".
  16. Thanks for the pics buddy, they looked great. I was so disappointed with the figure my dyno run that i forgot to grab my cammera. But it was still a great day to meet up with you all! Thanks again Sam, for the day.
  17. I would definately be in on this, and probably a few people from my car club would also like to come down (If invited). Avolon sounds mad, my club went to one about 6 months ago but my car was off the road Would we have some kind of speed camera there, to give us a accurate reading, once the needle has gone past the 180km/h mark .
  18. Thanks Sam (Dr Drift) and associates, for their efforts. I left pretty disapointed though with my figure. I was expecting at least 200rwkw with the Wolf and other mods. Only got 173!! rwkw Then to top it off a stockish R33 (Air Pod, zorst & 10psi) made 183rwkw WTF!!!! Went back to EAS to see WTF is goin on. Tuesday week a rep. from dyno dynamics is bring a dyno to sell to EAS and i am takin the day off to put my car on. What i am planing on doing is to give the car a couple of runs with the wolf, then pluggin the standard ecu to see the difference. If i am not happy the whole thing is goin to be reprogrammed! I know the car accerates alot harder, thus this should give me better 1/4 times (to be seen on the 4 April). But i did not spend $1400+ to loose 10rwkw. Sam seems to think that with better tunning the car should make the 200 mark, i really hope so! DR Drift: 19" rims have a bigger rolling diameter, would this effect the read out? As there is certainly a noticable difference when driving.
  19. Fark, sorry to hear that buddy. I always have a fear that some w***er would do that to my car.
  20. aybee Not really. You can see the differance when compaired to the fronts though. When you go to buy the rim ask the shop to test fit a 255 tyre to a 7.5" rim so you can get an idea. If they want the sale they will do it.
  21. let me confirm it, NO!
  22. I have just put on a set of LENSO MUSE 19" Rubber F:245/35/19 & R:275/30/19 Price $3600 inc. wheels, tyres, locknuts, nuts, balanced & fitted Picture does the rims no justice, as they look white they they are actually that light grey colour. Other finishes also avaliable for this rim.
  23. I would like to buy a BROKEN/DAMAGED/NOT WORKING afm, that looks intact externally. I have installed an aftermarket ecu and it no loger requires the afm. So i want to gut it out to remove the restrictive components, and it will be a waste distroy a good one. Preferable Melbourne (but not essential). Please PM, Call or email with a price. Mob:0427076490 Alan C. PS:Maybe bring it down to Dr Drifts Dyno Day on Sat (if in Melb.)
  24. Yeah, thanks budy! I was starting to wounder wether anyone went to the nats. Looking at your pics, why didn't you enter. Or did you. I will be going there next year, hopefully the new turbo will be fitted.
  25. :bs!: :bs!: :bs!: Interesting... I have 8" wide rims all round, with a 275/30/19 tyre profile on the rears and 245/35/19 on the fronts. :uh-huh: :shake: And they handle GREAT!
