Jash (GTAAH) Thanks! How mush ($) am i looking at? Is this a BB turbo? Will it fit on the stock manifold? Is it a hi-flowed stock turbo? PLEASE refer to post addressed to REV210, and if possible kindly answer the questions listed, taking into consideration the mods already, or about to be fitted, on the car. THANKS AGAIN SHUTO-BOY Sorry if i taken over your thread, but i think this type of information could also help you. BTW with the first six mods listed (the rest are yet to be completed when i get the turbo) i am making 210rwkw with alot more low to mid range torque/drivadilty thanks to the wolf3d. I would seriously consider any type on engine management b4 the turbo upgrade, just to get the mixtures right. I have already seen 2 R33 with blown engines, due to bigger turbo's and poor tunning. Just my 2c worth.

Thanks REV210! How much rwkw (approx.) would this give me, at what psi? How much torque can i expect (prefably as a % over stock turbo, eg: 45% greater torque)? when this turbo upgrade is done, the car will have the following mods: - Wolf3d V4 plug-in - fmic - cold-air intake (sealed box with 4" drain pipe from hole in front bar) - Adjustable boost - heavy duty ceramic/brass button clutch - 3" exhaust system (from turbo, with hi-flow cat and straight through muffler. - sard 550cc injectors - Bosh fuel pump - Bosh fuel regulator - Ceramic coated: ic pipes, turbo housings, ex. manifold, dump/front pipe, etc) Would i need any other mods?

12-13 psi is about the limit of the stock turbo anything more you are risking blowing the exhaust turbine out through the exhaust and into your CAT. Can't held you with the speedo
-
Just to expand on the topic. What is the best turbo to use, that has the same or better characteristics as the standard (low rpm boost, quick spool up, etc.) and makes bigger power and bigger torque? Hope you understand what i am trying to ask. Or is it better just to hi-flow the standard turbo with a sierra-sierra combination on the compressor and exhaust sides?
-
There is only one good thing that results from blocking your BOV. Turbo upgrade, when your turbo ***ks up and shoots the ceramic turbine into the CAT. In other words DON'T DO IT!!

Another option is to avoid places that attracts idiots, which then attracts the cops' attention. Places such as Chapel Str., Elwood, illegal drags, etc., etc.. Sometimes you can be unlucky and just get done by a playa hater!

I have meet you through Vic & Goerge at EAS, you were workin on that white R33 GTR at the time. Is that the Supra Vic keeps talkin about, if it is i would love to see it. It's supposed to be off it's face.

SORRY ABOUT THE LATE NOTICE BUT I JUST RECEIVED THIS IN THE MAIL ON FRIDAY AND HAVE BEEN BUSY EVER SINCE. If anyone is interested Calder Park Rwy. is having a event similar to the SUMMER NATS. It's on the 23rd of March, and is only for one day (unlike the nats. which goes for 4 days). This is the pamflit i received. Just use the number provided for further details. ANYONE COMING? I should be there and i may be helping out.

File was to big b4, i had to resize it. Here it is

Unfortunately something has come up on the 23rd, something that Mal and i have been looking forward to and may be helping out with. On Sunday the 23rd, Calder Park management are running a "SOOPA CRUIZE". Basically a rip off of the summer nats. See attachment below: Sorry about the late notice, but i only got this the day i posted my last message. If you want/can prospone the scouting cruise for another day (as i would still like to go on the GOR again) and come to Calder Park. The day should be MAD! (weather permitting).

YLWGTR, Have you made the carbin fibre tail light covers. I am not sure if you are the person i am thinking of.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Looks cool!, nothing like a little elbow grease to clean her up!:uh-huh: From the pics, it appears to have a couple minor mods, anything worth mentioning?
-
Teach her in your 'line !! hehe. So what if she bunny hops the trans, crunches the gears and rides the ***k out of the clutch. j/k

Mine rims are 8" wide and have 275 rubber at rear. Personally i would not go widder than this.
-
AH, i know Frank, have a chat every time i meet him at EAS. My car is pictured to the left, it's burgundy with 19" rims, a fmic and personialized plates. My bumper is also cut up, but i got it plastic welded to look stock and not get hassled by cops. I think they are fairly resonable, but sometimes you have to pay for a neat and carefully thought through job. Anyway hope to see ya around, and wave us down if ya see me. C YA!

That's a first!! I never heard of anyone wanting to go smaller in the rears. I have F:245/35/19 and R:275/30/19. Have had no problems and just some minor rubbing of the plastic gaurd insert, as i turn up drive-ways. But the car does have a set of Tein suspension, which are relatively stiff. PS: Gaurds have NOT been lipped, as i am not prepared to respray the car when the paint cracks.

Just read your other thread. Did you buy you car through a dealer? Or did the car come with a warrenty? If so get the person, who sold you the car, to fix it NOW!!
-
Nice car! Mad colour! Too bad you didn't have it ready for the GOR cruise would have been great. I scraped mine badly on the test drive b4 the deposit, hehe. Nothing too serious thou. Just take it to a plastic welder and you will not notice it, they did a great job with my bar when i modified it. Just ask anyone who came on the GOR cruise, looks factory of aftermarket (which ever way you want to look at it)

NOOOOOO! Just stopping you from ripping anything out. The kick panel is the plastic cover on the left hand side wall where your (passenger's) feet stay, just below the glove box. Remove the nut on the far wall and unclip the front of the panel. I heard this happen in another car (not skyline). Look at your lights (front and back), can you see water trapped inside? This other car had water trapped inside the light and some times when he turned a corner or took off hard the car would stall (steering stiffens, light on dash light up, etc). He would then restart the car and kept on driving. After taking the car to a few mechanics and changing the ecu (for another new facory item) the poblem still occured. Eventually the problem was solved. They found that water was trapped in the tail light cluster, and that when the car turned, the water would rush to one side and shorten the wiring, that caused a spike and shut down the ecu. This may nto be your problem but is worth a mention, i think. It may also be you idle controll. The flickering light sounds like the switch is durty and need to be disassembled and cleaned, or replaced. As the contacts inside the switch are not conducting the electricity properly (sorry if that sounded like a physics lecture ). Take a GOOD look for water in all your lights. Re-reading your post and the syptoms can definately be caused by a short due to water!! :uh-huh: :uh-huh: :uh-huh:

Hi Josh What Jap. cars you into, and do you own one?

Boost_Junkie For the past year or so i have been taking my car to EAS Performance, address is Victory Str, Airport West. Speak to Vic on 93302001, he is a pretty much a straight shooter. In my experience i have been pretty satisfied as he has guided me on what to and what not to do to the car. Most theoritical statements he made of preformance enhancements has been spot on when put to practice. Tell him Alan sent you (if you decide to contact him) I will warn you now, the w/shop is not a display case. It is a functional shop to complete mechanical repaires/mods. The first time i walked in i almost walked out, but he was very helpful and willing to explain and answer any quires. And after talking to him for 1-2 hours i was confident that he knew his stuff, i have never looked elsewhere since. Just a note, he uses the dyno at the w/shop next door. I know this sounds like i am affeliated to the business but i am honestly not. I have seen cars from discruntled customers from other w/shops bring their cars back to EAS, after being butchered. Some of whome are mention above. What you decide to do is up to you, good luck and i truely hope you find someone that will look after your baby! PS: What does your car look like as i live in Delahey and wouldn't mind hooking up for a cruise.

Congrates Buddy, I also became an uncle for the first time about 11 months ago.
-
small problem, no time now, but will explain soon!! got to go c ya
-
If it's your battery i got a spare in the shed only 12-14 months old. Replaced it with an Optima because my car is only driven on w/e. Sorry to get off track, just trying to help a guy get to the cruise/drive-ins.

I agree with inark. What fuel are you using? I would put the car on the dyno to check your air/fuel mixtures, this will also determine the duty cycle of you injectors. Before i put my fmic, wolf ecu and cold air intake i was running 13psi boost and making 183rwkw without detonation. Now i am making 210rwkw without touching the fueling system. If you still think it is a fuel supply problem, install a fuel regulator b4 you replace the injectors.
