Is this on your factory gauge? As on idle mine is showing more that 1/kg, has been since i've had it, is this normal or should i be worried? What should it read on idle (factory gauge) and at 100km/h cruising?

What is wrong with your car? Is it a battery problem or an alternator fault. Either way i have jump leads in my car, so do the drive ins. Hey if you go send me a PM as i live in the west too!

Sorry bud, no room. It's only a 2 seater and i have called shot gun. :uh-huh: Phoned him today, he said that he would be very iterested in coming. You may be supprised (sp?) it has a bit of go, and alot of handling. But against a car with the heart of a R33 (that's what it takes to get some real go! j/k) he will be pushin it, AND trust me he WILL be pushin it (not in the litual (sp?) sense ).

I just noticed this happens, last Monday on the GOR cruise, as i wanted to take a photo with all my lights on. Just thinking about it, it should not be too difficult. You need a 12V relay, a fuse and a soldiering iron. Just off head, if you were to use the wire from your hi-beams as an input trigger to your relay. Then from the output of the relay tap into the wires going to your low-beams this should work. I would need to find out if the wiring is +ve or -ve trigger. I will try it on the weekend and let you know. If my idea is completly wrong and is going to cause trouble please let me know, as i think it might work.

Does anyone know a good company in Victoria (prefably (sp?) Melbourne, but not crucial) that modifies the dash. I want to remove the center vents to mount my hand controller, then get them to make a fake cover that looks like the vents to hide the unit. Once this is done i need them to repaint (or recoat to look original [have not decided yet]) the dash insert, as the rubber type coating has started to peel. I need names and numbers please. The more contacts the better. THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSES ALAN

Did you buy that motor from Dr_Drift? I was there when he took it off the window assembly, and boy did it fling out. Lucky for him, he used his foot to hold down the rails while he unscrewed the motor. Once that last screw was out all hell broke loose. Sorry for not thinking of putting up a thread, i know for next time.

Hay just a thought, Mal may want to through around his Cappa, since this is not an offical Sky cruize. Nothing like doin 90-100 clicks around bends, with the roof off in a car smaller than a mini.
-
NO OFFENCE TAKEN (i clearly understand ) So it looks like my car is going for another run. I see if my mate Mal wants to come again or maybe another mate, as it may be a bit boring by myself. So far the date looks good. We keep in touch.

CONGRATULATIONS and WHAT A MAD FIND! Tufr33: Have you dynoed your car to check and see if the mixtures are safe? I am just wondering, if in Japan the car had some performance mods that were stripped before being sold, the computer could have been tuned for those mods and not the stock items. I am not trying to dampen your find, just bring into light the engines safety. I would hate to see an R33 have a heart attack! RedLineGTR: Is tuffr33 able to reprogram this chip once further mods are done to the engine?

R31Nismoid Sounds good, i will be in for that. If it is only a scouting trip why doen't we car pool, we could take my car or if you prefer i could come with you. Oops re-read your message, i guess you want to open her up. If there isn't too many people i would be glad to cruise in your car. If a few people come i will also take my car. Keep in touch Alan

:goddam: :goddam: Coming out of the carpark i looked away for 5 sec. and lost the whole group. Phat32 was behind me and he didn't see where you all went. We cruised up and down the town, then decided that you could be anywhere, so i headed home. I saw Phat32 do a u turn, but he gave no signal, so i thought he was going to try his luck. Anyway, that last photo shoot looks mad, i'm really pissed i missed it :Pissed: ! BUT my drive home was really exciting and intense at the same time. Not being held back by my inferiour (sp?) cousins, the R33 GTR's, (:bahaha: ) i was able to unlesh all 205+rwkw on the helpless GOR. Nothing like overtaking 2 cars at 150 then braking to take the corner with the ass end feeling a little loose. One brief millisecond of OOH 5h1t!, but with a slight correction of steering the HICAS did it's job. All in all thanks to everyone for making it a GREAT day!!! Nothing better than Nice cars, excellant company and alot of twisty roads. Next time i will swap digits with a few people to make sure i don't loose my way and miss out on a great photo shoot. We should do this again VERY soon! Keep in touch. Alan

Stay well away from this! I use this chemical at work to desolve film, laquer (sp?), paint, etc. It will take the glue away, as well as your dash! Try a product called SHELLITE, this is found near the metho. I use this to clear glue left from labels and it works 5X better than metho. But your best bet might be glue remover, this will most probably be a variant of shellite. predator666 may have a very good point, but try to remove it and if you are not happy then cover it. Nothing like one of those ricey stickers on your dash :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha:

what are you guys paying to insure your R33
Al replied to Fast31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks all i have made a short list of other potential insurers and will be contacting them all. It's funny that with shannons, i was told that once i turned 25 my prem. will drop under $2000. When my rennual came it increased from $2100 to $2300, through no doing of my own. When i questioned why this was they simply said "due to the amount of claims made with my type of vehicle". So no matter how carful i am on the road if some other idiots (non of them on this forum, i'm sure ) keep having accidents i will still be stung. WHAT B.S.!!! -
Being called a "road legal" slick, how do the perform in the wet?

Is there anything wrong with the stock GTS-t BOV...
Al replied to T0nyGTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
There was a thread not too long ago, explaining how to modify your standard bov to handle more boost. Once i get a bigger turbo i will be using this mod. Do a search, as it even had a few step-by-step pics. -
what are you guys paying to insure your R33
Al replied to Fast31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
That's pretty damn good!. I pay $2300pa through shannons. I am 25yo, have a company vehicle (so the car is only used on w/e) never been in an accident or have any infringements, i belong to a club, but unlike most people i have notified shannons of all my modifications. Can i get a better deal? as i do not know what factors contribute to your good price. -

Any dyno graphs? would like to see how it responds. -
What's going to happen if the weather is 5h1t? Are we still goin?
-
I am not sure, as i have not yet bothered to remove the head unit and eq. to check. I hope it does as this would make things so much easier.
-
Do you have an aftermarket fmic? If not, i would advise that you stick with your factory air box as it will draw cooler air than an air pod. Just put a good high flowing filter in it. If yes, you may have one of the factory ic holes without any piping going through it. I cut this hole to make it wide enough to fit a 4in drain pipe, coming from the front of the bumper. I then put a custom partition to prevent any hot air being sucked in by the pod.
