  1. Next year is only a couple of months away! You can do it!!
  2. Massive thanks to Hamish and Merowyn! Was yet another awesome weekend with exquisite food, fit for a king banquet. Thanks also to Dan, for cooking the snags perfectly. Now to hit the gym hard, this week, to work off two days of massive eating Our cruise home was thankfully smooth and un-eventful. The weather just made we want to get home as quickly as possible; That and the fact my niece and nephew both had a little operation over the weekend. The cruise down the mountain was full of crap all over the road; i was the one actually holding up traffic as i went slow to avoid branches and rocks damaging my new paint job . Hope all got home safe, see you all again soon. Thanks again Hamish and Merowyn, call you tomorrow for lunch!
  3. just fitted a wastegate and had a retune. Better response (again) and more torque. Updates yet to be posted.
  4. 100rwkw @ 9psi @ 2500rpm 150rwkw @ 17psi @ 3100rpm 220rwkw @ 21psi @ 3600rpm Then steadily increases to 335rwkw @ 21psi @ 5800rpm I just love the rb30/gt30 combo Let's not also forget the 900N of tractive torque
  5. Fark Dave. If you don't need response just throw in a stock RB20 with a TD06 off the side. Whole project will cost you $1000. This guy sounds like he's still using 1970's theories on forced induction. Just reply "thanks but NO THANKS!"
  6. So it's NOT P-plate legal! You need to be approved for an exemption. No different to any other turbo car, for P-platers. And they don't hand out these exemptions to anyone, you MUST have a special reason why you need to drive "high-powered" cars. ie: work related, etc.
  7. SAME HERE!! Concert should be tops
  8. Even though 80 member cars would be awesome, the chances of that happening are very slim. So don't let the 80 car limit put you off.
  9. I'm in!!.................. just Going to be an extremely busy weekend!
  10. Need to check my dates; A lot is happening over the next 3-4 months, hope it's free.
  11. Paid. Will fax forms tomorrow @ work.
  12. Well mine is not a Top Secret or Jun bonnet, but it has all the cooling vents, in the right places and easily clears my rb25/30, with a high mounted single. Made by Custom Carbon, Australia.
  13. So any of you softc*cks going to party up on Sat night, or are you going to all leave it up to Kieren, Brad and myself to hold up SAU's rep.
  14. To be honest I don't like those tail lights at all, completely different to the ones I commented on earlier. Yes they have the red reflector, which may make them legal, but they look really bad and cheap (in my honest opinion ) But that's why we all have different tastes and opinions
  15. Happy B'day buddy!
  16. Love yours too Brandon, especially when it sat lower Simple and clean
  17. Have to disagree. To be honest, i never liked any aftermarket tail lights on Skylines and have seen those lights on other 33's but not on silver 33's. I like it, on the silver, and think it's suits the car well. Unfortunately, it's a defect waiting to happen, due to the absence of a red reflector . Nice clean looking car W3APON.
  18. You could easily tell if you have a faulty/sticky float; as the amount of fuel indicated on the gauge would not correspond to the amount of fuel you put in the tank. ie: if the gauge is showing 1/2 tank, after only driving 100km, then you fill up and it only takes 10ltrs, then you know it's the sender/gauge that's faulty. If you fill up and it takes 30'ish ltrs, then you know the car is drinking fuel excessively. It could be a faulty O2 sensor, a leak, afm, etc.
  19. I have tried 1mm and 1.5mm, also using an N1 oil pump, both cases left me with a noisy head, on idle. Now i am ripping the restrictions out and running the std 2mm. Hopefully that would make it sound normal again. Just my experience PS: Any revs above 1000rpm, and the head sounded perfect/normal. Pulled down the head and found no wear on lifters or cams; after 10,000km.
  20. Turbo selection: I would definitely go the GT3076R, with the 0.82 rear housing . Have it on my rb25/30 and couldn't be happier with the response and power. Currently my set-up peaks at 20psi and drops to 16psi, by red line, and is making 325rwkw; with the same response (if not better) as a totally stock rb25. My engine has been fully built, though, and has all the "bells and whistles". I am now going external gate, to hold boost steady till red line and see if i could get more out the package. Need to ask: What's so special about a "RIPs block" if all internals are standard? Seems to me, like a major expense for little benefit, if you're not going to build a "full house" engine . A block is a block, as long as the machinist does his job properly and is thorough. PS: With your 4WD, you'll have an awesomely responsive package, that would be stupidly quick; you will not be disappointed!
  21. What's getting done: Replace crank and front hub bearings; Fit 50mm ex-gate; Modify head oil returns; Remove, previously installed, oil restrictors in block; Full retune. What has already been done is a totally different question
  22. Car will definitely still be off the road Hopefully it would be ready for the next one
  23. Am keen, but waiting till my car is back on the road
  24. A very clean and well modified '96(?) A4.
  25. Awesome night; but it was farken cold! (Damn, i'm sounding like an old grandpa ) Thanks Dan for organising the night, the time and effort is appreciated! A big thanks to Dave for the left, those rs4 seats are insanely comfy and worth the small fortune they cost. It's always great to have such a top performing back-up car Hopefully my car will be back on the road soon enough!
