You can't see it in the pic, but at the moment i have a direct line from the comp cover to the actuator, no solenoids, restricters or boost controllers. In most setups, this normally makes the power feel doughy or laggy, but i get 1bar of boost by 2800rpm So once the engine is bedded in we'll be playing around a fair bit with the set-up and extract as much response and power as possible. Thanks Phil Next time we meet, i'll take you for a drive mate. It's totally different to the way my rb25det setup delivered power. In the dry, this is more tractable and doesn't tend to kick out violently; unless you want it too Good luck with the re-tune buddy!

Believe it or not, they have just been fitted to the car last week I am yet to drive with them, but all should be good, read some good reviews on them, before i bought them off you.

Damn 11 months since that post and i am only getting the car back this week Car was ready 4 months ago, but had to go back to be rebuilt as the block used had a pin-hole and was weeping oil. Any built as described in my quoted post: not sure i mentioned rb30det, and using a 70mm core not the 100mm Note: Dyno graphs for "running in" tune. Once run in car will be tuned properly with an extra 5psi, more aggressive timing, adjustments of the IN and EXH cam gears and 8000rpm rev limit.

This weekend has turned into Monday/Tuesday Well i have "essentially" been without it for 16 months another 4 days wont matter. I say "essentially" because all was finished after 12-13 months drove it for 20km, then found a pin-hole in the block, drove it for 200km (rb30det is an awesome package), now it has been rebuilt again.

Awesome effort on building you own rb30det I should get mine back from the mechanic's early next week. GREAT choice of colour too. There is a Commodore colour that is similar to the Millennium Jade and every time i see it, i imagine a Skyline with satin black rims and other satin touches, wicked colour! You got to do something about your brake setup though

Powder coat is baked on at about 200-250C If you are coating the center and lip then leaving them whole will be ok; just remove the tyres, valves, and weights. If you just want the centers coated then you'll need to split the rims and remove the center.

The plastic covers at each end of the handle pop off. With a small flat blade screw driver, gently pull the cover off. From memory, there is a small slot where you can slip the screw driver in. Once the covers are off (at each end) you just unfasten the bolts/screws

Very interesting.........never seen it before in any 33 i looked at. Have you tried to follow were the brake cable leads to? Maybe it's a Nismo sports muffler valve/noise control. I know the 34's had this option, never seen it in a 33. Any unusual buttons on the dash? Keep us posted

So it has adjustable camber and caster arms, yet they haven't adjusted them to the correct settings? There has to be a few suspension places in Canberra, do a search.

Looks like he has no idea. Take it to a known motorsport suspension specialist in your state. If you are in VIC, i recommend CentreLine (Thomastown) or True Track (sp?) (unsure of their location)
