    Hi

Welcome buddy and nice car. Give those headlights a polish and they'll look as good as new Funky: His neighbour's car is burgundy; but the car across the road is definitely pink
  3. Stop playing with your tune, cas, etc. You are trying to retune your car to run on 5.5 cylinders, it's not going to happen. Sounds like you have done a double wammie. Hard to start, rough idle, timing out, missing, harder to take off, etc all signs of a busted piston. Also your head gasket is stuffed, but this needs to be replaced when you rebuild the engine. I know how you feel and recognize the symptoms, as i did the same thing on a race track, but mine didn't even blow any smoke. The only symptom i had, that made me realize something was wrong, was it was very hard to start on cold start. As soon as my mechanic heard the idle, when i pulled up to his w/shop, he knew straight away; "lost compression on one cylinder". My compression test, which i did myself, showed something like: 150, 149, 83, 151, 150, 152. Here is a pic of my damage, that lead me to rebuild the engine; doesn't look like much, but halved the compression in that cylinder. If you can't afford a proper rebuild, then just pull out your engine and buy another 2nd hand one. Problem is; you do not know what you're getting
  4. Why are you pressing the throttle to start the car? We aren't talking 1970 carbie tech Could be a number of things why the car is not starting: Timing, fuel, tune, spark, plumbing mistake, etc.......
  5. External gate turbos are actually a little cheaper then the internal gate equivalent. Then you need to spend another $400-$900 for a good quality ext gate, not to mention more money for a manifold, etc.
  6. Make sure you buy a fire extinguisher with a metal holder. Drill one hole through the holder, big enough to fit the bolt supporting the rear seat, thus mounting the extinguisher under the rear seat.
  7. Minor correction
  8. how many K's do you get to a tank? when do you fill up: on empty, 1/4, etc?
  9. Sounds pretty normal. But your 02 sensor could also be faulty; causing the car to use more fuel than it should, thus running excessively rich
  10. That should be it! Pin 1 = ACC Pin 2 = GND Pin 3 = 1st half of Brown wire Pin 5 = 2nd half of Brown wire
  11. Have looked for the last 1/2hr for the farken life of me i can't find a simple farken wiring diagram for a common farken relay. Therefore i can't tell ya what to hook up to where. THE WEB IS FULL OF USELESS SHIT!!! You need one pin to hook to ACC the 2nd to hook to GND The 3rd to one half of the brown wire The 4th to the other half of the brown wire. I think it's: Pin 86 => Acc Pin 85 => GND Pin 87 => 1st half of Brown wire Pin 30 => 2nd half of Brown wire Your common 10amp relay is more than enough.
  12. Awesome looking car, but i have to agree with the above statement. Looks incomplete without a rear bar/pods. Looks like the car has been kicked in the arse upwards. I would definitely look at a rear bar first, before your other mods.
  13. You need to buy a relay and switch it via the IGN wire on the connector. If you need help i could do it for you, you just need to go to Jaycar, or wherever, and buy the relay.
  14. CAMS L2S is actually $95/yr now 2008 SAU VIC Event calender (click here)
  15. I love the D-wing.....................but hey i'm biased But on occasion i do like to throw on the GT-wing

    Powder Coating

Hey Phill, can you give me a call tomorrow, after 1pm, on 0427 076490. I'll explain how to get your parts done then. It's his dad's business, but he left (had enough of the constant father/son feuds). He still does all the fiddly jobs for him though and also does alot of work on the side, as he is a better coater than his old man.

    Powder Coating

Hey Phill, your only option is to get them painted. The centre cover is plastic, therefor can not be powder coated, also the cam cover has a rubber seal which will perish in the oven. Go to a good painter and get all the items you have listed painted. But if you really want a good powder coater, for other items, the guy that has done all my items, including my rims, is in Airport West. Problem is that he is currently in Perth, on holiday, till mid Jan. He has a great silver for you ic/intake pipes, similar to the ones in the pic.

  21. A GTO with a "straight 6" What are your friends details: - Driving history - Fines, suspensions, etc? - Age? - Insurance history? - Is car garaged? - Modified? - Turbo? I am paying $1000/yr for a highly modified R33 gtst, garaged, limited use, i am 30yrs old, never made a claim, never had any type of infringement. Insured through Shannons. $1800 doesn't sounds too bad for they type of car.
