  1. Find a good tuner, then get the ecu he/she is most comfortable tunning; as this will get you the smoothest and best tune for your car. An ecu is only as good as the tuner. If you buy a Pfc, then ask a Wolf tuner to tune it, he may do an "ok" job, but he wouldn't know all the "in's and outs" to make it a great tune and extract the engine's true potential (and vis-versa; if you were to by a wolf and get a pfc tuner to tune it).
  2. Corrected: Few beers had affected my mathematical abilities
  3. Not sure what you mean by "Wich version, the standard, or s, sh or l2" Yes i am sure: The comparison was done on two std rb20 motors with different bolt-ons, on the same dyno, on the same day. The graph shows that the GTRS lagged the TD06 all over the rev range. I have even driven the two cars (at different times) and the difference is very noticeable.
  4. Not sure about S.A.; but in VIC if a car is caught with any part of a NOS kit installed, a fine of $2000 per cylinder applies. That's right $12,000 for our cars. If this is an EPA issue (not roadworthy) then i dare say the fine applies nation wide. Not to burst your bubble, but is 24rwkw really worth the risk? Especially when a 100% standard GTT produces that power and probably a little more. Put an exhaust, fmic, Pfc and some more boost, on a GTT, and you wont be anywhere to be seen .
  5. Sorry for the extremely late reply; unfortunately i didn't get any email notifications for this topic Anyway, just checked the paperwork that came with my ATI balancer, as your comments raised concerns, but all is good. From the ATI paperwork: Street/drag use: 800hp MAX, replace every 10 years Circuit use: - 400hp replace every 5yrs Circuit use: - 400-600hp replace every 3yrs Circuit use: - 600+hp replace annually Since my car is a "weekend car" with the occational track/motokhana use, the smaller balancer will suit my purpose. The way i look at it: These have to be better than the std balancer, so no need to worry about "cutting it fine"
  6. Never mind, just found it
  7. Very nice!! Mine is looking like the GTST version of yours rb30det (25 head) GT30R ETM manifold (same as yours) Greddy plenum. Red engine bay Teins with EDFC Oil cooler etc....... When i saw your engine bay and the Tein EDFC i had a laugh; looks so similar to mine Will post pics of mine, once the engine is back together and the car is back on the road. QUESTION: Where is your power steering reservoir? I bought a GTR one for my car, as they sit forward of the strut tower, but i still don't think it's going to clear the turbo . Just something i noticed: You air pod/filter has a reducer cone, then you have a silicon hose attached to increase the size to match the intake pipe. Wouldn't you be better off to remove the pod reducer cone and fabricate another cone to match the pod diameter and the intake pipe. Just thinking you may be causing some minor restrictions with the current set-up.

    Merry Christmas!

  9. Happy b'day!! Hope you had a great one
  10. That's why i will never go with your insurer. With Shannons, you pick the repairer and the work is still guaranteed for life. Just think how much hassles and headaches you would have saved yourself, if you were allowed to take it to your own choice of panel shop. Anyway... Hope all goes well with this 2nd shop. Nothing more frustrating that "professionals" that can't do their job.
  11. Agreed....... Good luck with the sale
  12. Didn't you just buy that off your mate? You after more power?
  13. PM Roy on these forums, he has a TD06 on his rb20 and it's an animal. It's also alot more responsive than a GTRS, on an rb20, and makes more power. Keep in mind; that Roy's set-up includes a high mount manifold and ext. waste gate. He occasionally thinks of selling his set-up, so shoot him a PM.
  14. Car looks awesome and doesn't really need anything done! But if you are like me and get bored, so you feel you must do more, i would do the following: - window tint - GTR style grill - 400R rear bar and pods. Looks almost std, but is alot phatter. Just makes the ass end look phat, especially with the stealth wing. (keep the standard front bar, as it looks good as is; also doesn't break or crack when you gutter it or something similar ) - Nismo smoked side indicators - Ganador style mirrors or maybe even the "tear drop style" 400R rear bar pic: My mate's and my car (GTR grill, Nismo side indicators):
  15. Hey Phil, For your purpose i would also recommend a good second hand 2530 or 2535, but make sure they have the right flange and are NOT the sr/rb26 turbos (smaller). Kyp was not lying when he stated that the bb hi-flows surge. The 2nd hand hi-flow i purchased (and discussed with you) was bb and had chronic compressor surge at light throttle. It was a good thing that the guy i sold it too (warned him before purchase) loved the "dose" sound and thought it was "cool".
  16. Shit, your the 3rd person that i know had screws in their tyres. That sucks! Not sure where they came from, as Sarah was not competing yet had a flat from 2 screws in here right front tyre.
  17. Nice work Mat! Great footage. Loved Adz's effort: Textbook stuff, on how to make a fark up look so damn good And Al, you have really changed your previous driving still, good to see the evo working hard
  18. Yet another talented response
  19. Fark that's not good. I would definitely be chasing him up to cover costs and even advise your insurance company of the situation.
  20. Thanks to ALL that made this weekend another one to remember!!
  21. That's pretty damn bad, sorry to here. I had my windscreen replaced too, same insurance company, but used a different windscreen company (long story, but no particular reason). The only difference with the claim is; i had to pay the windscreen guy, then send the invoice to the insurance company and then they sent me out a cheque.

    Pwr Fmic Stolen

And how can you distinguish between your cooler and another PWR cooler?
  23. Hey i have a job at Nagambe(sp?) and Shepparton tomorrow (Fri), so i'll be starting the Friday night drinks a little early Not to mention: I get paid to drive there and back; and only end up working a 1/2 day. Damn i love my job See ya all when you get there!!
  24. Hey that's my area. Want me to have a look?
  25. 454KEN: It would be highly advisable to have at least forged pistons, preped rods, arp bolts, and acl bearings with any form of race/drift engine; if you want it to last at that power level.
