No problem with guard clearance and already mentioned the bigger rolling diameter; which in fact corrected my error in the speedo . You also loose a little about 15rwkw, a little torque and some handling. Just pure physics.

I have a set of Lenso Muse 19's on my car and have had NO issues in the last 5yrs. In those 5yrs they have seen track use, competed in various motokhana events and drags; as well as the usual "spirited cruises" and general driving. Make sure you get correctly sized hub rings, as i found this out after 3yrs of driving/competing without them. NOTHING happened, luckily, but the potential to sheer off your studs is there.

May be a silly question, but how do you know that you have 17x8(f) and 17x8.5®. Not 17x8 all round or 17x9®. Just the 8.5 doesn't really sound right.

Do not get the after market widened guards, as you have to hack the original guard arch to fit them. Rolling/lipping the guards may be an option, but this is prone to cracking the paint on the rolled section.

Pat in all the pics i can not see the rim sticking out the guard As long as the rims stick under the guard from the top of the arch, you'll be ok. That's only judging from the pics, it may be different on closer inspection. PS: Did you scrap your front bar?

I also do not know Drew, but just have bought his cooler kit (Transfer of funds complete Drew ) The internal gate does not restrict power , whoever told you that has very little understanding of turbos. A small internal gate will only produce uncontrolled boost creep, because it can not expel gases fast enough thus the turbine spins faster, resulting in increased boost. 235rwkw on a std hi-flow, bolted to a std rb25 is about the limits of this turbo. With the bigger ext. housing, and all the supportive parts 280rwkw (my personal experience) would probably be the max of this turbo. Sometimes a turbo will max out at 16psi, sure an extra 2psi will get you an extra 5kw, but the gain per psi is reduced, thus not worth stressing the engine for 5kw. This is caused when the turbo's efficiency range has been passed, so the turbo creates too much heat, thus reducing the power gains.

PM sent. By the way: Did you copy my Avatar? Just to let ppl know. I previously had a similar turbo on my car. It made 270rwkw@15psi, on a rb25 with Tomei cams and head porting. I sold it because i "thought" it was laggy, but after having similar response issues with a HKS GT-RS, i found that i had a restrictive exhaust. So this turbo combo has "similar" response to a GT-RS, but makes more power, at the same psi. The hi-flow is now fitted to a standard rb25NEO and is also making 270rwkw@16psi.

That sucks!! Any talk of re-embursment? After all they did have your car for an extended period. I would chase them for an ecu, even if it is a R33 one, then you can sell it. I know someone that will be happy to buy it, at a reasonable price . They did promise you a ecu, just because plans have been altered, doesn't mean it is your problem. I know they have a major headache, at the moment, as the manufacturer for the hand controller, they based the Wolf V5 round, has gone bust and shut down production. Do you have another ecu to pass epa? Is Pete's the same?

No need to be embarrassed buddy: You blew a turbo, that is prone to failure, i blew a motor, that is regarded as being very tuff, yet i am not concerned . Shit happens, just need to fix it.
