  1. You're a smart ass Pete; that's a pic of his car
  2. By any chance you didn't lend it to Steve from AEM, when they were doing tests on your car and playing with the Wolf V5. Just a thought.
  3. Agreed rb25 turbo. But be warned, these also have a ceramic turbine so can fail just like your current run did. If you are on a budget, then i assume you don't have the cash for fuel pump, injectors, ecu, tunning, etc. If this is the case, just get a standard rb25 (and keep boost at 11psi) or buy another rb20 turbo. The rb25 turbo will be laggier than the stock turbo.

    3 Steps Foward

The 31 looked very neat, remember seeing it at a few meets, including a dyno-day. This car looks nice as well. The suspension looks like a SK group buy deal. If it is, they are pretty damn good and handle very well. Hope to see you around again. What happened to the 31?

    So And So

All i ask is did you do your research before handing over the $$$$$'s for the purchase? I have seen a few threads on SAU, painting this particular business as being a dodgy trader. All it would have taken was for you to either post up a "what do you think of this business" question, in the VIC forum, or even shoot a pm to a few regulars. Some basic research, time and even money, for a professional inspection, would have saved you all the hassle and heart ache. Now your dream car has turned into a nightmare Wish you all the best, but not sure what can be done now.

    Drag Day Wrap Up

Great day, hopefully next time my car will be running. Took a few pics, even though camera was packed away for most of the day.
  7. Awesome Craig, The last time is saw him he was sooooooooo small. Good to see him growing up strong. All the best buddy!
  8. Happy B'day Sarah!! Hope you had a great day and a better night
  9. Come and have a great day at the drags!!! Hopefully my car will be ready in the next two months, then i'll be whoring it to as many cruises when time permits
  10. :laughing-smiley-014: Gold Wayne! I tried to think of something to say, when i read the thread last night, but couldn't think of anything clean. Thanks Ferah. PM me with an offer if you are interested in the box and snorkel.
  11. By pulling the plugs out, you maybe able to determine if water is going into the bore. Could also be a water seal in the turbo
  12. I actually started to think the same thing, but didn't come across this thread again till now.
  13. If Kaz falls through i have 1 spare gtst S1 airbox with snorkle. Not sure if S1 are differant to S2
  14. Sorry Paul, i organised to go up with Simon, and he'll have the drag slicks in the back seat.
  15. Yep, like last year, we'll be parked on the side of the road.
  16. At first i too selected the M-sports kit. But Berin's posted side skirts kind of match the vents on the front bar. Still not 100% sold
  17. Proper oil mods.................. check (as per SK thread and also RB30 thread, most of which EAS knew about already) Sump...............Check Not too sure what quality you would consider the H.E. sump, but i think they're damn good and mine cost me about $800 for the circuit type. I just thought there would be cheaper options on the market
  18. I am not talking about building you "dream machine" here, just a realistic rebuild budget; after all i am not a member of the Paker family .I agree with your statement above. Is it a necessity; probably not (have stated that i swing on the side of caution). Look at it this way: Alot of people think car insurance is not necessary (possibly due to finance issues), but what they don't consider is; what happens in that 1-in-1BIL chance they write off a Ferarri 430? I would rather spend $700-$800 on a baffled sump to insure the life of a $10k+ assett. Which is not to say that something else could fail and damage the engine.
  19. Well said Troy and food for thought. But, if you had to rebuild a engine and had the financies, whould you use these precautionary measures?
  20. I believe so. It's like an option between std, c/f or woodgrain. Pretty much like the Chasers.
  21. Race fuel opens up a whole different can of worms. 30psi on good race fuel is nothing too big, but with race fuel and more boost comes more heat. Next Rob will be convincing you to run NOS
  22. That's all nice and good, but is he willing to pay the extra or will he turn around and say; "too much man, you could get these now for $12K", to the seller. In other words is he willing to pay $25K for a $60K modified car?
  23. OFF TOPIC: What rims do you have on your car? Any close up pics?
