  5. Thanks Snowy.I never said a sump is a must, just stated that it is good insurance. I always side on the side of caution, so if some consider my enhancements as overkill, well so be it .
  6. Not hear buddy I have also done my research and act on various advise from various people, including those for interstate. If i just listened to my mechanic i would have never fitted the r34 hi-hlow, which was a great item and my current build would have a 800hp turbo running NOS Yes one can make the power on a standard engine, using a bigger turbo or running more boost, etc. Cams have been a well proven benifit, and even Ben wouldn't disagree.

  8. I wouldn't think you would fit race bearing for power, but to accommodate/protect for extended periods of higher reving.At the end of the day, i would prefer an "overkill" setup, just for piece of mind.
  9. Ben is very secretive about his builds, and fair enough, he has invested alot of his time and effort to sort out the common rb26 issues. So i'm not too sure he would give an honest answer, if one at all. But it's not too hard, or expensive, to fit a Tomei baffle or even make one of his own.

  14. I'm with you Jake: Standard R33 "M" body kit: But i would like to fit the 400R rear bar and D-wing (i have the D-wing, just need the 400R bar). Actually there is a rare front lip, that attaches to our front bars that i wouldn't mind getting as well. Similar to the S2 Nismo lip but for the S1 bar, i believe it was also a Nismo item.

  16. No lag with that turbo on my new engine; it's actually the smallest recommended turbo. Ask Rob he knows what i am building.
  17. Hey Nick, i'm building my motor: it's a little different but same principles apply. Basically doing what SK has listed in the thread you refered to. Fitting a H.E.(High Energy, circuit type) 8.5L baffled sump and an N1 oil pump. I am also using GTR race bearings (ACL, i think). The block has to be modified to fit, but the gtr's have groves in the middle of the bearing to improve lubrication to the crank (and possibly rods). Oil is the blood of your engine, the cost of the sump is cheap insurance and eliminates any possibilty of oil starvation. Good luck buddy, hope to see the beast back on the road soon.

  23. Am i missing something, i can not see any GTR pods I think the bar looks pretty aweful, does not flow with the car at all.
