  1. Rob and Pete are top blokes, great mechanics and pretty good tunners of the Wolf Pete tuned my car on several occations, years ago, before EAS got their own dyno, but i never met him personally, as my mechanic would drive my car there and help Pete tune it. I know Rob, since my frequent clubbing days, when i used to go to Icon . Personally, i would only use 20psi max on pump fuel, due to the companies' inability to provided a consistant quality of fuel. 280kw using a GT30R(450hp) is pushing the envelope, but acheivable as i made 260rwkw@18psi with a HKS GTRS, only time will tell. I take it you are using the .63 exhaust housing, as i too have a GT30R rated at 500hp with a .82 ext housing. This will be fitted to my new engine.
  2. Welcome buddy! Hope your 'line brings you much enjoyment, like most of ours have
  3. Oil Filter relocater FTW!!!
  4. So have you polished the outside or the inside of the runners?
  5. Just leting you know, from experience, head porting will add a little lag to the setup, but mid&top-range are awesome
  6. Silver?? Looks like blue to me
  7. Still can be a head gasket You may have a minor crack that leaks into the bore, when cold, then as the engine heats up everything expands and seals up, till it gets cold again. If a gasket leaks water into a bore, the water will never mix with the oil, or vis-versa, and the water will then pass through the exhaust system. All cars have white smoke in the mornings, but it really depends on how much you consider alot. I am by no means stating that you have a blown head gasket, just advising that it is still a possibility and should not be ruled out because of the things you have listed.

    Rice Burner

1/ Bunnings don't have specials 2/ What do you think ic piping made from? Mine are just regular, mid steel mandrel bends.
  9. How awesome does that car look FROM THE OUTSIDE! Looks like a fairy attacked the inside
  10. You only need to replace the sump, to fit the engine into a Stagea. And i'd want to keep my fully rebuilt RB30deT , as it would make up for the extra beef the Stagea carries. But this is not on the books The sump is the only differance and they are interchangeable.
  11. I personally love these cars, think they look awesome and should hadle great. If it came down to it, i'll probably still buy the Stagea: Main reason being, i could transplant my new engine in it .
  12. OH NO Nick, sounds like you followed in my footsteps What happened? Hope it's nothing too serious and it doesn't cost you big $$$$'s to get it back on the road.
  13. Russ, as you had one hand out the window, while doing some fully hektik slides, i am sure you could have managed to hold a camera and snap some pics.
  14. Thanks guys!! Appreciate the info and clearing that up for me.
  15. More PICS!! any action shots?
  16. Just a quick question, as i will soon be in the same situation: How do you warm the engine? Sounds silly, but i want to clear it up. Do you just start the engine and let it idle till it reaches 60deg or so. Or start engine, start driving straight away, but taking it VERY easy till it reaches temp, then drive it hard(ish), within reason. Once my car is back i plan to load it up with about 100kg in each passenger footwell (300kg), then take the back streets to Kinglake and surrounding areas, do an oil and filter change once i get home, then do it all again the next day. It will be too hard to convince my mechanic to bed the engine in on the dyno then do a full power run and tune 20mins later. His build, his rules, his time and money should something go wrong
  17. You lucky pricks!~
  18. Is the P1-plates and P2-plates coming in also?
  19. Just read Deans post: He is 100% correct. Finally a p-plater that understands his rights and knows the law, well done mate Dean: I was actually going to ask what's wrong with driving your HR31?
  20. You are 100% incorrect. R33 GTST's have always been illegal to drive as they exceed the CURRENT power to weight laws. If you get caught you will, after 1st July, be given a maximum fine of up to $1100 and loose 3 dimerit points. Get caught a second time, in a twelve month period, you will loose your licence for 3 months, as the extra 3 dimerit points would exceed the 5 dimerit limit for a p-plater, within a twelve month period. The penalties have been revised for current p-plate licence holders and will also come into effect on the 1st July. R32 GTST's are actually legal under the current laws, but not sure what will happen if you have "power increasing" modifications (ie: exhaust, ecu, bleed valve, etc).
  21. Anyone needs an R33 airbox with snorkel? i have two: $11ty billion each
  22. Loan me a 33 Skyline and i'll be there , mine is broken
