    I Knew It!

Yea, but someone that is going to photoshop isn't going to use a different font "s" now is he?
  3. Didn't "hate" it just was disappointed with its lag and how it came on boost, also had compressor surge (Hated the flutter). After buying the HKS GT-RS, the lag wasn't that much better (but still a little improvement), so I started looking at other things that could cause the issue, and I found my "hi-flowed" custom made exhaust to be a big part of the issue. Below is a graph of a comparison between the custom exhaust and an Apexi 3.5" exhaust. The result was absolutely GREAT!! I was then about to replace my "truck core" fmic, which I had in the car for the past 6yrs, thinking that; if a change in an exhaust could make such a difference, the same principal would apply to a sub-standard fmic. But months later, b4 doing the test/comparison, I lost compression on cyl 3 at a track day. So now I am building up a completely new engine with new turbo/ fmic/etc; this will void any comparison with the previous setup. Apart from the compressor surge (flutter while accelerating), I now realise that the rb25 hi-flow, with the VG30 ext housing, was a good turbo and made heaps of power: 270rwkw @ 16psi (R33 rb25 engine had Tomei cams and head porting). The turbo is now in a R34 with a completely std Neo engine, the guy uses the same mechanic as I do, and I advised him of the flutter/surge b4 purchase. He absolutely loves the flutter, both off and on throttle (as he blocked the bov), and the car is making 265rwkw @ 15psi.
  4. and With my hi-flow and HKS GT-RS, i always got flutter under 4000rpm, and i hated it, no matter what i did to get rid of it, it wouldn't go away. Also my induction got alot quieter with the turbo change (i put it down to the std turbo being very restrictive) and the exhaust note got deeper in my car and my mate's car.
  5. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........maybe I honestly think they're a great car for someone looking in that type of market.

What farked up logic is that? Why would they change the font between the two S's? I agree though, it is a photoshop
  7. As manwhore has stated: Loosen bolts slightly, just enough to remove tension, at rear of housing. Rotate to desired angle then fasten bolts again. Same can be done for the comp/front housing. Are you sure you are up to this? If you couldn't work that out, how the hell are you going to install the turbo? Are you modifying the oil line? From what i read there is some sort of mod required. Do you know how to prime the turbo with oil b4 starting? Otherwise you'll burn the cartridge out and scorch the bearings. If unsure, and you think it's just; unbolt, slap in, and bolt-up then i HIGHLY advise you to take it to a mechanic. If i was in Aaron's position, reading this post, i would have voided the warrenty already Take it to a good mechanic; it's going to save you money in the near future!

    Borrow Some Spacers

    Just Jap: SPACERS
  9. and tame her that well
  10. Damn West, after our chat i thought you were going to keep her . Don't buy the Honda, look at the Suzuki Cappacino. Won multiple awards, during it's time, for engineering and design, it is also a Kai car. 900cc, 3cyl, turbo. Hard top -> Targa top -> full convertable. Great car especially for someone your size and also great on fuel. When my mate had one it done about 400km per tank (20 litres). There are also turbo, exhaust, ecu, etc, upgrades available at VERY reasonable prices. My mate bought the Suzuki Motorsport kit ( larger turbo, injectors, and new ecu) for about $1800. A car worth definately considering. Oh at Winton this car was faster than stockish gtst's (exhaust, fmic, boost), even b4 the upgrade and with those shocking tyres that flexed toooo much on tight corners. In a straight line the Skyline killed it though (Calder Drags)
  11. rb30 FTW!
  12. Since item is sold, i'll reply: Doing research is one thing, understanding it is another ; and unfortunately you have not understood the specs. This turbo is rated at 440hp=310kw approx This 310kw is at maximum flow at flywheel in ideal conditions without losses, etc. Consider losses in driveline, fuel inconsistancies, engine wear, etc and you'll probably have 250rwkw, but at maximum flow (max. boost), which is far higher than the 12psi claimed. So try and understand what you read, before going off at people. rb20inside: The Neo turbo is larger than the r33 rb25 turbo. So yes the Neo would be pretty damn laggy on a 20 230rwkw at 18psi sounds about right for this turbo.
  13. Nick, SK already has a set of coil-overs more orientated to track days, yet still pretty streetable. But if you are patient; once my car is back on the road, i'll take you for a spin, as i am about to fit the Tein-Super Streets. These have 32 damper/rebound (simutaniously) adjustments per shock, and should be great with the in-cabin controller (EDFC). Car wont be ready till late July (i hope), as i am building a new engine, after cyl 3 dropped compression .
  14. You saying the box "MAY" be from a GTR scares me, as it shows how little you know about the mods . A std rb25 box is a pretty strong unit, said to be as strong as the 26box. I'll be 98% sure that it is a 25 box.
  15. Do you have graphs to back up this wild claim? 250kw, low boost, no lag I am in the market for a turbo, so i do have a geniune interest.
  16. In today's market you'll be lucky to get $20K.
  17. Agreed!!
  18. Thanks Mjai, Just what i needed.................also
  19. Top effort ppl!! Looks great
  20. Congrates Buddy, Photos look awesome, and Gemma looks stunning. Great to hear you had a great day/weekend Hope to catch up soon.
  21. Pfc on GTR's; Ben hands down, he is the best. That's coming from a Wolf3D supporter/user
  22. Your driving skills are truely a work of art Jack, watched each clip at least twice, simply awesome. Would love to one day have the pleasure in coming for a passenger lap.
  23. I vagly remember certain people making such bets When it involves beer, Bris will never forget!
  24. PM Dave (Silva33) he has a R33 he is still wrecking.
  25. I have my previous brake set-up for sale. - 33 GTSt calipers: Painted red and NISSAN etched out. (These are usually worth $300) - DBA4000 sloted rotors, less than 8000km old ($480 new) - RB74 pads from RaceBrakes, less than 8000km old ($160 new) I am after $600, I am just tired of people say they'll take them, then a few months later not being able to afford them. Let me know if you are interested.
