    Gtr's Rim-job...

As usual Ant, TOP STUFF!!! I'm still waiting for you call buddy, am i able to test drive this one . Once you, Nat and Zack seattle down, i must come past to catch up on the last 12 months. Love the car mate, looks damn hot.
  2. Not sure if Pfc's have "voltage compensation", but if they do, this needs to be tuned. Either way this sounds like a tunning issue; take the car back to your tunner and ask him to ajust the tune accordingly. It could be a 2min job.
  3. Can Anyone answer the above questions, especially the one about the model identification? I know this thread is a year old, but it has the questions i need answered. I have an Engine Number: RB26 062621A. I am considering purchasing this engine, can someone tell me what model GTR it came out of ?
  4. I am going to discuss with my mechanic exactly what is required for the conversion, and crunch some numbers, tomorrow. How much do you want for it? Is it 100% operational? So no-one has a rb26 engine for sale?

    Parking Ticket Story!

Hey west, if that is your real number plate i'll remove it and use another random plate to state the example. You never know who's reading the forums, especially in the public section .
  6. Some wheels do require special/specific nuts, so i'd let the Tyre guy sort you out. Also ask the guy if you need "Hub Rings", as most wheels do. Make sure that the wheels do not have spacers, behind them to clear the calipers, as these are illegal.
  7. Not too sure if this can be done. Can someone FAST a engine number? Need to know what model/year GTR it came from. Engine Number:RB26 062621A Alan
  8. Some VERY nice pics Dezz, top job.
  9. I am looking for an RB26 engine from a R33 or a R34 GTR. Preferably a stock engine, but will definately consider a modified one with receipts or from a well known w/shop. Also require a complete RB26 wiring loom and possibly an rb26 ECU. If you have one or all these items please let me know ASAP. Alan
  10. Brentt, your cruise so you decide. BUT.......... B4 SAU Vic was an offical club we used that servo as a meet point for the GOR cruise and we had 40-50 cars parked there, so 15-20 cars is no problem. I know if i was coming (engine now deceased ), i would not drive to Bell Str. Macca's to only drive back. Hell, i wouldn't take my car to that macca's even if i lived round the corner.
  11. Shell servo on the Point Cook Rd Exit. This would be the best place to meet, as it is central to everyone and on the way to Geelong. Zoomed in: Zoomed out:
  12. Not sure if that question is ment for me.But.......... Yes i am fitting the coil-overs and EDFC myself, I also work for a scale company so i'll be corner weighing the car and adjusting to suit. . Once completed, i'll be taking it to Centreline Suspension for a complete alignment. Fulcrum Susupension: 1300 suspension (1300 7877367466) Super Street: $1772 + $20p&h (from QLD to VIC) EDFC: $620
  13. These are all legit reasons to fail a roadworthy.
  14. Most Probably straight out Japan and NOT the Aus Spec.
  15. That's all fine and good, but if the instructor farks up and damages the car (looses controll and hits a wall, etc) will he/she take full responsibilities for repairs. The owner will know the car better than an instuctor, and as most instructors on the day are not "qualified instructors" will they pay for any damage caused by their driving?
  16. Brentt, just to let you know, that is not the one i was refering to over the weekend. Also, my car is now out of action, cyl 3 has dropped compression Brentt, the brake combo i was talking to you about, on Saturday, is up for sale, if you are still interested.
  17. I have seen 20's fit on r33's without modification. Its all about getting wheels with the right offset and brake clearance; Jake33 unfortunately doen't have either. I would personally not go bigger than 19's. I have had 19's on my car for the past 5yrs, and haven't had too much issues. I am currently looking to down size my rim size to 18's, as you loose power and response with 19's, due to the larger rolling diameter. Here is a few pics of my rims which i will soon be selling
  18. Don't know why you paid $70 Brentt, as everyone else paid $40 . Kon was obviously disappointed and a little shake, Hus didn't make it any easier . I would have prefered to not gossip and left it to Kon to explained what happened, should he wanted to. The day was awesome, and Hus you should have stayed, as we had another 30min of track time at the end of the day . I now offically have the "Track Bug" again as i absolutely cained it round the track. Reached about 230-240km/h, before having to brake for the first corner, ON STREET TYRES (my 19's). Car felt great, smooth and stable, can't wait to fit the Tein's . The day ran very smoothly, and was toped off with great weather. Had the Hot laps in the morning, with witches hats placed at all corners to slow the cars down a little. I felt they were throwing me off my line, so i went around a couple smoothly to keep my pace . Then had the slalom which was great fun in a head to head challange; and the Go-to-whao on the other side of the track. The cones were then removed to have the heads up drags. I only competed in one drag race against a tricked out Lotus Eliese. This thing had huge lumpy cams, suspension, RE55's, ecu, and other forgotten mods. Great car, and was awesome round the track, but ran out of legs on the straight. He had me, at the start of the quarter mile, by about 3 car lengths, but he was surprised how quickly i cought up and won the race by at least 2 car lengths (his words) . Once the drags had finished, there was some time put aside for burnouts, which i have to say were pretty damn impressive. The day ended with 30mins of lap time. After the last session, i left the car parked for 30min, when i went back i found a puddle of oil underneath my NEW pod filter . Will be doing a comp check and changing plugs tomorrow, as the plugs feel like they are fowled. Hopefully nothing major as i went for a drive today and Nikki and Matt didn't see any blue/white smoke at all . After countless hours of abuse, i could be finally due for a catch can.
  19. Asking a bit much for $35 If it was something like flicking a hi/low boost switch, i'm sure he'll have no problem, but to unstrap the car, move fans, etc, then vis versa for the re-run, is alot of work for $35. On the other hand you can enter twice and pay $70, that way it will be like he is just dynoing another car.
  20. Great looking rim, very well taken care of, with plenty of thread left. Test fitted one rear to my 33 GTST, unfortunately they stuck out the gaurd by at least 5mm. So the rear gaurds need to be flared to fit a 33 gtst. But damn did they look sweet . Good luck with the sale Matt, disappointed they didn't fit my car.
  21. No idea what time each event starts/finishes, so you'll just need to come for the whole day.
  22. Happy b'day Buddy!! Have a great night!!
  23. Low blow James.....................
  24. If i'm free i'll come. Don't know yet.
