  1. I am getting available club dates soon. Calder has a one club per night policy
  2. This Saturday alot of people will not be available
  3. Pure sex James!! Top job mate. Red and grey/charcoal combo FTW!!!! You made the right choice with the 18's. 19's may fill out the guards better, but you sacrifice handling, response and rwkw. I know from experience . For the past year I have been contemplating whether I should go 18's and sell the 19's .
  4. Yet another GREAT weekend, with GREAT company! Had a ball!! Thanks to all people that attended, as you are what makes these cruises worthwhile. Good to see alot of new faces, with awesome attitudes. Hope to see ya all again at the next event.
  5. If you live in VIC, you'll need to become a SAU VIC member to get access to organised events.
  6. SAU VIC club cruises, events, etc happen on a regular basis, but you need to be a financial supporter, then you'll be granted access to the VIC members area of the forum. As Dezz has stated: Anyone can plan/organise a cruise/event/etc at any time, but most people want someone else to do all the work . So if you have a great idea, don't be shy to organise something and post it up on the forum. Otherwise you are MORE than welcome to become an offical SAU VIC member and then come along to any event, that also has public liability insurance, should something unfortanately go wrong.
  7. Thanks from the update, keep us posted Just a suggestion. I would not use any bog type spray on the plenum, as the aluminium expands and contracts as it heats and cools, which may result in cracks appearing in the bog, or the bog flaking off. My mate had his genuine GReddy plenum powder coated, b4 install, and within a month crack were seen. The powder coater i/we use does awesome work and no cracks/faults on any other engine parts. My standard plenum is also p/c'ed and cracks can also be seen.
  8. Is it restrictive? Did you loose much more power when you used this cat?
  9. Looks pretty goods! Bring on the dawn of a new era, can't wait to participate and help out in all coming activites
  10. And pay an extra $40 for the 2nd driver. Did anyone go? I take it Troy, you are not coming to GOR , weak.............................
  11. That doesn't sound right. The manual advises to drive easily when cold, till temps are normal, so why would they make the engine run shit at low rpm, doesn't make sense. When warming up all tunes run rich with retarded timing, but apart from a lack of power, this should not effect drivability.
  12. A little too touche there mate. Not everyone will like all the events they go too, as an organiser you need to take it in your stride and maybe see if there is anything you can do to make it better. Maybe on the entry forms ask competitors to tick a class they feel comfortable in and group them roughly together. Example: - Dedicated track car - Occational club track car - Modified performance vehicle - Factory performace vehicle - Daily Driver - Family Car By grouping them, the pace will be somewhat even and there would be less risk on the track.
  13. It does obviously have a problem as it is not normal behaviour. If he has an aftermarket ecu, it could just need a tune.
  14. 1/ Howard at Race Brakes is a TOOL!! 2/ RB74's are good till they fall to pieces at about 50% wear. Have a close look at Ferni's avatar, those are sparks flying off his brakes at a track day. The pads had more than 50% left and should have lasted a few more track days, but they crumbled to pieces, leaving Andrew with a big repair bill.
  15. EPA do not issue defects The cops are another story.... But if you get your car tested, pass emissions, get engineered, etc then you can take the defecting officer and his precenct to court for harassment; it has been done and won before. Then the harassment will cease
  16. Am..........no Just like any state, you make a modification/s that is untested, then yes they are illegal. You get an emissions test and prove that the car still complies to the emissions, for that year (ie: 1995), then they will pass. Unfortunately each test, in VIC, costs $1500, so if you fail the first time, that's another $1500 to test again. Just ask Mav. He had lengthy discussions with the EPA officer, who commented that cars with bigger turbos, inj, power, etc, than his car (280rwkw), passed running ecu's like Pfc, Wolf, Motec, etc... EPA even passed Mav's car with the Greddy plenum and fmic, without any testing required. EPA is not the pack of a'holes everyone makes them out to be. PS: Congrates Guilt-Toy!! That's an awesome effort
  17. Hope you had a great b'day Jackie!! I was in Swan Hill for work these last 2 days
  18. I'll be there, most probably will not be running.
  19. Yeah, it's been pritty busy. About 2-3 weeks ago they actually started to refuse entries because it was too full. Do you want me to organise a club night? Same price ($40), but we'll be put in the "in-field" with the comp cars and probably have more runs than the people lining up in the regular lanes. It will probably be in 3-4 weeks.
  20. How do you explain the Bilstein PSS9? These allow for damper ajustment and are considered to be one of the best in the market (valued at $4000). So are these lacking in sophistication?
  21. Pete and Rob are both good tunners and mechanics. Pete use to tune my car b4 EAS got their dyno. I have met Rob and seen his work, will be taking my car there very soon to double check the tune and see if it can be improved on; just waiting on the Blitz SBC to arrive.
  22. Agreed!!Fancy having dedicated race cars on the track at the same time as a family car, and everything in between . Did that cheap weekend open day once and NEVER again
  23. Hey Ferni, He is talking about the Friday open day, which is actually not that crowded and probably the best one to go to.
