Ferrari wouldn't give them an Enzo for their test track: At the Top Gear office, there are only really two cars that we haven't been allowed to take out for a spin. The first is the new City Rover. The second is the Ferrari Enzo. You couldn't just pitch up at a dealer and expect to buy one, Ferrari have to invite you. And because it costs half a million quid they weren't keen to lend us one, and we had to find someone who they were prepared to sell one to and borrow it. It turns out that Pink Floyd drummer and master author Nick Mason was prepared to lend us his. And what did he ask for in return. Not a sausage, although by sheer coincidence he happens to have a new book out. And the Enzo wasn't so shabby either, it is amazing fun to drive, and probably the fastest car we've ever seen. And if you want to know how fast, check our Power Lap times. From http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/series_5/prog_2/ Hopefully someone in Britain has a Veyron on order, a book on sale and a good sense of humour so another deal can be made . What about all the "forgotten" imperial measurements like fathoms, furlongs, leagues, rods, hands, poles, perches, links, chains... STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!

It is now time to post the video

For those who missed it: (PS - I love my new scanner)

C55 doesn't get the trick 7 speed gearbox (like SLK55 AMG) or the supercharger (like E55 AMG), making it the slowest new AMG you can buy. So if you know how to drive, and if your car has any mods at all, you will win. Just remember that AMG's with their massive torque, auto box, and sophisticated traction control are simple to launch, so don't f@ck up! MODIFIED E55's scaring GTR owners? The stockers run mid 12's, so I think even a stock E55 would scare a GTR owner! The modified E55's are just plain scary, as shown HERE

Maybe that is for the Yanks that wanted the Nissan GTR to be a V8?

Bugatti Veyron Dethroned Already?

Engineers claim 450km/h, but it hasn't been tested as no tyre manufacturer makes suitable rubber. -
Bugatti Veyron Dethroned Already?
Big Rizza replied to Big Rizza's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I checked Wrecked Exotics and they only had images of the previous V12 model, so I don't think there are any wrecked customer Bugatti Veyrons yet. This is the pic from the link: Another pic. 1000hp! Im not sure I would want to be reversing that thing, givent that the engine seems to block any view behind! -
Article: Saleen day for Bugatti! Saleen S7 Twin turbo V8 1000hp 1360kgs 6 Speed Manual RWD 416km/h during testing 0-100 in 2.8secs Bugatti Veyron Quad turbo W16 1000hp 1600kgs 7 speed DSG AWD 407km/h in production spec 0-100km/h in 2.5secs What do people think? If it were free, I'd still take the Veyron.

I'd rather the plane they race it against. Cheaper and you can go a lot faster without having to worry about flashing blue lights in your rear view mirror

Are they any good? I have picked them up in the newsagent so many times but I can never bring myself to risk forking out the cash. $15 seems like a pretty sweet deal...

What Would You Pay For This R32 Gtr
Big Rizza replied to arrow's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Low km R32 V-Spec II's can attract big $$$ due to being both rare and the last of their kind before the arguably less popular R33 shape was released. They're worth what people are willing to pay, and for some people that is a lot! Just don't expect, with the recent flood of cheap 15 y.o. models, to be able to make a quick sale at that same price if you decide to get rid of it. I personally WOULD be willing to pay $40k for an IMMACULATE V-Spec II. But it would have to be perfect - there are no compromises at that $$$. -
Dunno too much about it, but I know Just Jap sell bolt on kits to do it - $799 brand new. Hope that helps! Just Jap.com - 5 Stud Hubs and Conversion Kits

Sounds like a sweet ride. I have about $9 in my bank account. Do you take cheques?

Pretty much all skylines run rich from the factory. My stocker R32 dipped to 11:1 AFR on the dyno. REALLY needs to be tuned. But the $$$

Hint:  About 2 seconds of searching revealed: fuel economy fuel usage for a stock rb25det I fixed my fuel economy.. Fuel Consumption ??? r33 skyline rb25det Fuel Consumption Fuel Consumption - help Hey just wondering about fuel Fuel Consumption At this point I got bored... There are many many more threads on this topic already

That's pretty vague . I assume you mean car related or tuning related DVDs? Or do you mean movie DVDs? Or pornographic DVDs? (Of course you want porn, how silly of me!)
-
Dunno how much it moves around while driving along as it went in a mates car - I just ordered the parts for him. It seemed pretty solid on initial inspection with the car stationary. I'll ask him on the weekend what he thinks of it.

I was always under the impression that flat shifting involved keeping foot to the floor and no clutch. V8 supercars do it all the time (but they can rebuild the gearbox after every race if need be!). I've always referred to leaving foot to the floor and using clutch as a power shift. The revs build during the shift and when you get the clutch out engine speed is greater than road speed and hence the car will surge forward. It can be enough to push you ahead of another car during a drag. I don't do it myself as it puts excess wear on the clutch and gearbox.

The guages I bought went into a Silvia. It's no more complicated than any other guage installation. You should have no problems

There have been several that I can remember. Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the R32 on an episode of Motorworld once. The Japan episode (obviously). It's not top gear, but it's the same guy so who cares. Some fat guy from Top Gear had a buyers guide on the R32, R33 and R34 skylines. Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the R34 on Top Gear. Tiff Needel reviewed the R34 on Fifth Gear. Jeremy Clarkson drove a 1000hp R33 on one of his DVDs. CAn't think of any others off the top of my head. All of these are available on file sharing programs such as Kazaa, Emule etc. and they are highly likely able to be found as torrents. Also try Google videos. THere will be something to do with an R34 at some point in the current season as there was footage of one in the preview at the start of the first episode.

You could try somewhere like Just Jap. I bought a DIN sized bracket for guages through them, but it was somewhat different to what you are after. Perhaps they could locate what you want? Or you could butcher one of their brackets to suit your needs?

Am I missing something? How exactly will this work? Pocket bikes make less than 5 hp don't they? Surely a 50hp or 30hp shot of NOS would be wasted on such a small engine! I reckon there would be more NOS than the engine could inhale, and therefore most would be wasted. You'd only want maybe about a 5hp hit. That is still a 100% power increase remember! Regardless, before and after videos are required. Measure out about 200m and compare the 1/8th mile times!
-
That's about $20k overpriced I reckon. Why buy one 4 years old when you could get a mechanically identical BRAND NEW 350Z for less than that. And the 350Z comes with all the benefits of buying a brand new car, such as full manufacturers warranty etc. But if someone buys it, the seller will be very VERY happy indeed
-
You could offer them a tip if they finish it before a certain date. Although you would then want an independent inspection to make sure it's not a dodgy job. Meh I don't know. The Liverpool Kiss seems to get things done for me.

When you say "artlcles from magazines" I think of reviews and comparisons from motoring journalists. What you posted looks more like an official Nissan brochure picture. Which are you after? Either way, I've always found Autospeed.com satisfies most of my aticle needs. AUTOSPEED LINK: Pamphlet Pics - R32 Skyline GT-R AUTOSPEED LINK: Pre-Owned Performance - Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t
