We use the RON (Research octane number) measurement, americans use RON+ MON / 2. Where MON is the Motor octane number. I believe their 91 is around our 98.

Japan uses a different standard for digital TV than we do here so you'll need a conversion, I've heard around $1000 but I'm not sure if that's anyway accurate.
