  1. Just finished reading through this mate. Great build. I love that you're paying attention to the little things and doing a lot of it yourself. Much better than the builds that people just pay for.
  2. How did you go with this Jimmy? I've been searching for info on re-registering my GTS-t which has been off the road for many many years, came across your thread. I'm still not 100% on going through with it if the whole process is going to be drawn out and expensive. Especially since I have to get the motor going again first before I can approach anything.
  3. Hi guys, I need an RB25 ignition module for my R33. Working condition obviously. Cheaper the better. Thanks Ian
  4. Hey Paul! I finally got around to bringing home the parts to start servicing the rats nest this weekend! Not long now *fingers crossed*
  5. Nissan dealers. I got some for a friend just the other day and Nissan Aus had em in stock in several warehosues. Will prob cost ya around $20 or so.
  6. No problem. Share and share alike I always say! I did question the price tag too. Especially with the GTR being released as well. I think the 350z was still around the 60K mark when released though.
  7. Received this from my Manager today. Thought some people here may be interested. Car looks great, and hopefully I may get to drive one soon! (Hope this works BTW, as it is a large-ish .pdf file) Nissan_370Z.pdf
  8. hmmm... real stiff competition.... our car park has a mixture really.... In amongst the Transits, Navaras, Swifts and Patrols are a few very nice 300cs, a couple of 350zs and today there was a Falcon F6.... Actually, thats the best part of my job at the moment. Being on the front counter I get to meet some people with some great vehicles. I got a ride in a fully optioned FG GT yesterday and I almost got a fat!
  9. Hi all, I have a front bar for sale. Its an ex-MFX item. Still in Primer/Gel-Coat. Now for the hard bit. I bought this from someone on the assumption that it was for a R33. Turned out to be wrong. I think it may fit an R32, but I can't get anyone to measure a bar reo for me so I can be sure. I'm happy to provide more pics and measurements for anyone that wants them though, so don't hesitate to ask. Asking $200. I can freight for you via a courier. Would usually cost around $60 to most places and I'll pack it well in a bumper bar box.
  10. Seems everyone had the same idea at the same time. I'm sick of trying to pick the box up these are in, and I don't read them anymore. Most are in good condition. The occasional one has a folded corner, etc.... Zoom Issues 88, 96 and 102 ONLY Autosalon Issues 27, 30, 31, 40, 53, 60 and 66 ONLY Speed Issues 7, 19 and 22 ONLY Drift Battle Issues 1, 3-18 High Performance Imports Issues 50-65, 67-77, 79-84, 86, 89, 90, 95 5 mags for $20. First in best dressed, but there are a few double ups here and there.
  11. Or just go to a Nissan dealer.... Any dealer that knows what they are doing with the import catalogue could find the part number and order one for you. Nissan Aus usually have them in stock.
  12. Amen..... The "John Bowe Performance" series of mods were a huge joke in the Ford community. They were over priced mods that did nothing for the cosmetic appearance of a Falcon, let alone the power out-put. Funny thing is dealers thought they'd be a hit and bought up big, making the manufacturers a shiteload.... I know I'm going to have a whole heap to sell off cheap soon If were going to continue this discussion we may as well include the "Craig Lowndes Signature", or "Ripcurl" utes as well....
  13. Yeah, I spose you could say that. It just sits in the backyard these days though. I see you couldn't stay away from a Skyline for too long
  14. Spotted a dude from Nova Auto Innovations in a White Stagea at my work.... Also, Paul in his snazzy work truck.....
  15. Hey guys and girls... I was wondering if someone could do me a huge favour and measure how deep your front bar reo is on an R32? I bought a front bar from a guy thinking that it would fit my R33 but it won't fit over my bar reo. I was hoping I could find out what it might fit so I can sell it. Cheers
  16. Have you tried going to a Nissan dealer? Do you really want used parts for a gearbox rebuild?
  17. This has got me really interested too! My baby has sat unregistered in some position around the yard for almost a year and a half now. I really miss driving it. I've heard the best way for low budget weekend warriors is to go into a vehicle with a mate and share the costs. Any of you guys who do this regularly now been in that situation? Does it work out well?
  18. Our boss told us that no fewer then 100 dealerships Australia wide won't be re-opening this New Year. That's how bad the current new car climate has gotten.
  19. It's one of those "funny" kind of situations that life spits out really. "Do I go to the name shop for a name brand and get a cheaper price, or do I spend my money with a smaller shop who may have excellant service but charge more?" Working in the auto parts business in Newcastle its a a question that comes up constantly from retail customers. I don't know what it's like in Sydney, but up here its a good time for the retail customer to get really good quality work at a cheap price. The deals some of the smaller independant shops are willing to do just to help pay their employees are unbelievable. It's always good to see that small business know the value of customer service.
  20. Actually the bit that looks more chopped is the Top Secret logo on the front bar. And having Nomiken in somehting other then an R34 would be weird. It would actually look like someone was driving the car!
  21. Awesome news! I suggest a BBQ and working bee at JJ to help Steve and the boys get up and running fully again
  22. the vehicle has to reach a standard of not only roadworthy-ness but the RTAs standard for emission etc as well.
  23. For me, it was a little surprising to learn of Ford pulling their funding, but not so much. In many ways if you look at the current new car climate, it was almost to be expected. After all the large format vehicle is on the way out and with fuel prices so damn high the world over, who wants to buy a 1000L V8??? In a way the writing was pretty much on the wall the minute FMC decided not to push the production of the FG V8 to the extent they have with previous models. They know vehicle technology is moving away from these kinds of formats, so why should Ford Aus bother spending money on funding cars that they have no desire to make!
  24. Anyone know where I can get some HP Coating done in Newcastle or around The Coast? Am looking at getting my cooler pipes done.
