  1. damn you and your victorian-ess!
  2. Generally windscreen defects can only be for cracks and chips that effect the drivers vision. So basically anything from about the center of the car you should do straight away. But since yours is over on the left, you should be fairly right. Just watch it and make sure you don't end up with two windscreens.
  3. If you ring or go into the RTA rather then going online, they will make them for you. You may notice that you still can't order the newer "AB 12 CD" style over then net either. But I know for a fact, as I ordered them for my wife's car, you can get them by ringing or going to an RTA.
  4. Yeha, I had thought of leaving it until after Christmas and just dress it up a bit to make it look deliberate I may yet anyway. I've checked out other parts of the car when I washed it the other day, and I've noticed way more chips then usual. And some are down to metal, so surface rust will come soon. Luckily, we have a friend who is a panelbeater, so I'll talk to him and see of he can do a cash job for me on the lot. Otherwise, does anyone else know of anyone good that will do a cheap job? Point to Point cruise eh...... I like it
  5. Heyyyy Chris. For your initial post, my names Ian, and I gots me a Burgandy 33 GTS-T And I'm hoping to at least have the front bar painted by then Dave. Maybe the whole car if I can afford it
  6. ohhhh you can make it, you know you can Think of it as a welcome distraction. Big move from Townsville to Newcastle though..... damn....
  7. yeah, i was gunan suggest Soldiers. I had to drive all the way up to the point today in the work truck, so I took a detor and checked stuff out. That would be excellant Paul. Thanks for the offer.
  8. hey! Nice to see you guys are as keen as I am! Yeah BBQ sounds good, how is Nelson Bay marina these days though? Last time I was up there it was packed cause the parking is really poo
  9. Yeah, I was thinking around then Dave, just to give us enough time to organise a good spot and let some people have some time to figure out what they wanna do. Plus, its way more likely to have a sunny day then, which means good light for photos
  10. yeah i'm still thinking about the formal thing man. I've got a different coloured fromt bar, and if I were to do something like that, I'd rather the car look good for people.
  11. hey, i'll take 3! 2 white and 1 black PM with details please
  12. I'm not entirely sure now. At the last one we had 15 at the meet-up, and about 10 of us went on the mini cruise. But as I said, I've seen a lot more 'lines around lately that weren't here before, so I think if we can put some effort into organisation rather then something planned on the spur of the moment we may be able to draw a few more of these guys out of the woodwork and hopefully introduce some new people to SAU if they didn't know about it previously. BTW, whilst I'm fairly adept at organising large events for people, I'd appreciate it greatly of any of the gods of SAU:NSW could let me know if theres any special things I need to be aware of. And some help from one or two of you other Newy boys would be great too. I would really like to get a decent amount of things happening for us up here, as everything else seems to go on south of the central coast.
  13. yeah would be great man even if that doesn't happen, if we get a decent enough number saying they wanna come you could prob come up and do a shoot for us Not that I'd want you to feature my nugget though.... ha!
  14. Hey there Newy guys (and hopefully girls)! I've been seeing more and more of you around of late, so if theres some new people around introduce yourself here and help us plan another trip out and about. I figure it's high time we had another cruise/meet-up since the last one was in April. Also, its daylight savings and we can take advantage of this great whether and meet some of the newer owners around Newcastle these days. So, we need: Ideas on locations to cruise from/to Dates that are good for the majority And other stuff you can think of I was thinking somewhere like Speers Point park or on the lake somewhere for meet-up thats good for photos. And if I get off my arse and actually pay some money to the gods of SAU:NSW, then I may even do some actual planning and make it somewhat official and good.
  15. Gebus! If bloody americans wouold just learn to drive on the correct side of the car and road there'd be no need for this kinda poo! If I saw that Integra out and about, I'd be too tempted to scrawl "FAKER" on his windscreen in black texta!
  16. great day out apart from the damn rain. My first time seeing pro guys drifting other than on DVD's, so I was muchly impressed by the skill invloved in throwing a car sideways at 100kmh in the rain and hanging onto it. Anyone else go? I got a few good shots, but I'd like some vids too.
  17. Damn thats expensive! As some of the guys have said, try out some places like Tempe Tyres and the like who are more used to dealing with people like us, and generally will give you a much better price then shit places like Kmart. Also, try going up to a 235/45/17 as I was told by the guys I take mine to that its a much more common size in 17s and just about everyone makes one so they're much cheaper. Up here in Newcastle I go to the boys at Wareners Bay Tyrepower (**SPAM** ), and I got my fronts back in August for $170 each fitted. They're Kumho 712s in a 235/45/17 and they still look brand new now and I drive a damn lot. That and my rears are about 6 months older and even with all the stupid driving I do, you can't even tell theres wear on em. But yeah, shop around. Find a tyre your happy with and get many many prices.
  18. hahaha my housemate owns a 180 in the process of being fixed up. We've just finished upgrading the engine with turbo, fuel and exhaust mods and it now pulls about 260kw. Its still got 4 diff colours of black on it and the roof is primer grey. Anyway, this dude in a Commodore ute pulled up to him yesterday, took one look at his car (complete with NU66ET plates) and started revving his engine like a smart arse. lol, he had him in 1st gear! When this dude finally caught him, he just gave him this weird disgusted look and drove off in another direction.
  19. I ended up with the original owners manual, still in the plastic sleave from teh dealership. Even had the salesmans card still in it! Much thanks to the guy I bought it off for leaving that little gem in the car for me! Also, I always thought I didn't have a jack, but when I pulled the boot interior apart I found it right up the back to the sidewall, sitting there with the original tool kit and a soggy packet of tissues. And then, on the same day I find the flare in the passanger footwell. I was like a kid in a candy store I tells ya!
  20. Ahhhh you so loved it
  21. ahhh it'll buff right out
  22. Cheers for that I hadn't even thought of looking on the UAS site. I shall ring them Tuesday. Cause thats about the same price as me buying all the gear to make my own.
  23. Welcome to last week http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=88981
  24. As the topic says, I'm looking for an Adapter/Flange to allow me to fit a Greddy Type S BOV in the stock position on my 93 model R33. I'm not even sure if one is a available, but if someone does know any info would be appreciated. Pics would be great too as I'm not even sure what the damn thing should look like if I have to end up manufacturing my own. Thanks
