Just an expression of interest for the Newcastle crew and anyone who wants to cruise down to see the Toyo Drift Nationals at Eastern Creek on July 8. Cost for entry on the day is $30, so its a bit pricey, but the drift days I've been to before have always been a good day.

Does Willowbank strip seriously have a hill in the middle of it? Or is that just the angle of the camera? Cause that would seem a weird place for a drag strip considering the speeds vehicles would be doing by then

I'll agree with the over estimate. But there were definitely massive torrents of water around. I drove through on the was up to my front grill, so almost a metre deep. And there are pics of those cars on the net somewhere. We actually saw them being craned out yesterday arvo.

Well that is where all the rivers end up Dave. They all join onto the harbour at some point. The Lake has risen since Thursday! There are houses that look like they're in the middle of the lake at Marks Point!

I left the car at a mates place at Hamilton, and when I had a look this morning there was actual wood and grass debris in the front grill! Maybe that river was a little too deep to attempt..... lol!

Yeah, they're all there because they're waiting to load up on coal in the harbour. The problem is, when they're empty they're extremely high in the water and in cross winds like this the ships just act like giant sails when the y get hit on the broadside. A similar ship managed to avoid a disaster just two beaches down when the weather calmed a bit, but the captain said he was at full throttle and was pretty much sitting in the one spot because of the head wind!

The rain made my car run shit too! But only because I attempted to drive through an intersection the was flooded Still got through when there was people not though! Go the Skyline!

^^ Too true.... The only thing you really need to remember when going aftermarket, is that turbo is never the only thing you can or need to upgrade. And then theres that whole modding bug thing that you'll never get away from

Now now kiddies It may seem like an early time, but as has been said some of us are committed to helping out and this is the earliest we can get down there. In actual fact, we should be down there earlier, but I refuse to leave any earlier than this. Also, cars are allowed in from 8am, but keep in mind that people will not let in and out anytime they want this year, so there will be a cut off for when you can enter your car. And by getting there early we can all park together for a much more enjoyable day. We need a tarp and some tent poles! lol!

As the topic says, I've bought an R34 GTt Stock turbo, and I just wanted to know if anyone knows if the water lines and everything should bolt up directly when we do the swap? I'm trying to find out now, so I know if I have to outlay some more money for braided lines or something. I'd rather not spend the extra money as I don't have a whole lot to spare.

Turbo or not, it doesn't matter what you got, just bring it all! It's not a dyno comp, so why does it matter if you have a snail strapped to the side or not?

What bits of it I saw were alright. Was a bit disappointed by some cars I saw that I thought could make some massive power, but still didn't make much more the modified VL Turbos Best bit for me though, Datsun 1600 with a modified FJ40!

I feel no disgrace in saying that this thread and the actions taken by the higher authorities have gotten me extremely upset. And trust me, I am choosing my words carefully so as to not say exactly what I'm thinking right now. I have never been to the whoretown thread, and mostly couldn't understand the need for threads like the "spotted" thread. I come here a few times a day, mostly at night, and only ever visit the "central coast" and "newcastle" threads specifically. I along with a few others have spent years trying to build the relationships we have with those in the newcastle area. We don't fight, rarely post, yet are being punished because of a select few morons. I became a member of NSW because of the relationships I built with others, and have started helping out with things like the SnS because of that involvement. I already know what effect this will have on the "Newcastle" community, and others in charge already know this as I have told them time and time again when trying to get them to put more effort into our area. Because of this action.......... ...well I am already considering the unspeakable and discontinuing any of my involvement with the SAU NSW community. You think the bickering and fighting was immature? In my opinion, not being big enough to "finger point" and ban those actually causing the trouble is also a sign of immaturity. You were given the power of this community, you set the rules, now enforce them on those who are causing the grief, not the community as a whole. Because those threads...... those threads you have taken away, are the real community in NSW, not the threads that sit beneath this one.
