  1. Hi Guys, I've got a problem with my R33 speedo - every so often it doesn't work! When I start the car and drive away, neither the speedo, trip meter or odometer will even move. If I hit the dash a few time (few hundred on some occasions) it will come back to life. I have one theory why this is so: some einstein at the yard I bought the car from sprayed armour all all over the dash, and I can see that some of it has dried around the trip meter openning. I know that armour stuff goes sticky when it dries, so I'm guessing its freezing up my trip meter, which in turn stuffs everything else up. Anyone experienced this problem? And any ideas besides spraying some WD40 (is there anything it can't do) into the speedo mechanism. Thanks Dan
  2. Gday, On my r33 gtst I've worn my right front inside shoulder down bare. I'm guessing I've got too much neg camber on this front wheel. Left front is heading down the same path. How is the camber adjusted on an r33, is it adjustable without buying an aftermarket camber pin kit? Or is this more to do with alignment? The car itself tracks straight, hence i'm guessing camber problems.
  3. the vic rules are a joke - 3kmh tolerence. ADR's require speedo accuracy of +/-10% for cars in australia. so the vic cops are applying the tolerence for 30kmh to all speeds. i guess it will take someone with enuf money to afford a good lawyer to take it to court and set a precident based on this fact. ive heard that local wollongong highway patrol here sets there radar units to 10% + 1kmh ie: 67kmh in 60, 111kmh in 100. so nsw cops might allow for the ADR speedo requirements? dunno about cameras though, hope the same rule applies.
  4. Gday, I want to remove the front guards from my '95 Type M Series I Gtst. I'm wondering are there are tricks to doing this? I figure there are the bolts along the bonnet edge to undo, and a few in the wheel well itself shared with the inner guard plastic. But what about the type m side skirts? Do these come off by just undoing the screws, or are they glued on aswell? Any help is appreciated, don't want to go damaging anything if anyone has some helpful info!!! Thanks Dan
  5. Hi all, I realise you've probably been asked this at some stage - the usual R33 GTs-t intercooler upgrade questions. I plan on fitting a large intercooler to my R33, and I've narrowed it down to Apexi GT-spec and Trust/Greddy V-SPL. Both are of similar size and price, but differing construction. I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice as to what would be the better choice. Thanks Dan

Gday, Just a couple of questions about the R33 GTS-t: 1) what grade/type of oil should I be using in my R33 GTS-t manual gearbox? 2) occasionally my speedo will stop working, which then causes (i think) the HICAS system light to come on, and the power steering to revert to low/no assistance. Anyone experienced this before? Speedo does eventually get going agian, I think I may have a little coroosion on the plug or something like that. Thanks Dan
