This might sound stupid coming from someone who has never owned a SUV or Jeep before. but i want to know why Range Rovers costs an arm and a leg to buy ? is theres something im missing ? i've only started to notice them on the road, well only the newer models. i've never liked range rovers, but the new models are starting to grown on me, especially the Vogue model. since im interested in one, i thought i'd take a look at the official website. to my surprise, i didnt know these SUV tanks costed over 100grand to buy. without prior knowledge i thought they costed 65grand max. like i said before, are they special or something ? gonna go test drive one soon. if i like it, i might trade up my GTR.

well, if u cant pay for insurance, dont buy the car, its simple. if u're, u better make sure u have atleast 3rd party.

depends on the situation. if they've showed some effort into purchasing a car(of their choice), as a parent, i wouldnt mind covering up the remaining amount. if they showed no motivation what-so-ever and expects me to pay for the full cheeseburger, then they can forget about it. my parents have trained me enough to realise that nothing is free and if u want something, u have to atleast put in some effort.

Aslong the mods are listed on the policy(legal or not) and didnt cause the accident, then insurance will pay out. they wouldnt bother dicking ya just becoz u got an aftermarket steering wheel.

some of them are utter crap. be careful and make sure u buy a good one coz if it rains, your car will be covered in dirt the next day despite the box saying 100% water resistant.

the cops cannot really do anything. u're allowed to drive around with your licence for 3months. say u go bak to qld for a holiday or something(within the 3months), the current 3 months defaults and starts over again. it makes sence coz for e.g. u might have cousins living in Vic and visit them every christmas or something. for the cops to accumulate/note down the amount of time u've spent in Vic is crazy. u dont live there and shouldnt have to change ya licence, rego over etc.
