Nismo LMGT2 but i think it was more an issue of width and offset, running 9inch front with +35 won't clear the AP i needed to run a +15mm spacer. My mate with the evo was keen to buy my rims so we test fitted them on his car even with the +15mm spacer won't clear the evo 7 brembos at the front -

another update, just bought my set of track rims, however not sure if i went over board with the sizing 17x9.5 +12 plan is to run RE55s or AD048 in 255/40/17 Good thing is Nismo/rays state that sizing will clear big brakes (had issue with my old nismo rims not clearing my AP). Be interesteing to see if i run into issue once the car is lowed and alignment setup is done with the rim hitting the guards -
595 will last forever, they are a hard compound. however once you get some serious heat into them they start to wear very badly (however, i only have had this issue drifting with the tyres so as i street tyre you will have no issue with this) They offer a pretty good grip level for the price. however comparing it to my RE001r they are shithouse, but as seeing re001r cost like $250-$300 each for 17inch 235 (compare to $110 each) I have never used the 595 in wet but i have heard they are pretty average due to being such a hard compond

Thanks im leaning towards the gt-ss however i know the main track here in perth does like top-end however im trying to weight up how much track time will be done at the track and how much track time will be done a timed auto-cross/tarmac rally events. As i have a feeling the gt-ss will help more in the tight events -

Ok turbo choice are limited to two HKS GT-SS or HKS GT2530 or garrett similar. I would like to keep lag to min but still retain some top end, would i be able to achieve this with the gt-ss or will i need to go the 2530 power goal is 400-500hp but that isn't the important part i manily want good respones -

yeah i notice they are very laggy, :S was recommended -5 by my tuner, he advise if i keep the n1 i would need to rev them and open up the rev's more. and i will most likly get lag during gear change unless i turn up the rev past the stock limiter. will see how they go on 18-20psi of boost, but its looking like the hks gt-ss or -5 will be the go at the end of the year. out of interests what do -5 go for brand new? what power did it make at 25psi? -
ohh ahaha sorry didn't notice that. This is the cams manual that explain the harness setup http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_re...dule_I_Q410.pdf
-
NICE! however in your first photo are those to eye-bolt for the harness? if so you might have to change them if you plan to enter cams events, as cams state the angle can't be more than 40 degrees if i remember right

engine is from a r33 gtr (50,000km), so has the uprate oil pump, and from what i read is good for the power im aiming for, if the engine comes out it will be placed with tomei pump. Engine is fresh and runs well. turbos are r33 n1 so steel wheel. -
out of interested, when racepace tested it, why wasn't it better? the information out there about the nismo plenum is limited all i can find is what nismo has posted Specifications * Collector volume: 4.1 liter (genuine = 3.4 liter) * Intake pipe length: 73.8mm (genuine = 48.5mm) * Intake pipe diameter: tapered from 43 to 45 (genuine = 45) * Material, production method: cast aluminum * Intake temperature difference at the entrance of turbo chargers is improved averaging18% in 2,400 to 7,600 rpm range. * At 4,800 to 7,600 rpm, power output is increased by an average of 1.8%, while fuel economy is improved averaging 0.4% also interesting to note nismo say: This product cannot be installed with the engine mounted having look at the plenum i would have through it could be done with the engine in the car?
-
I understand what your saying, i have been doing alot of reading lately regarding what to upgrade and what not to upgrade. i don't want to go silly with the engine... i know if i open that door i will end up doing broke, and never getting the car racing. If the nismo plenum was full price there is no way i buy it but when there is a chance i can get it alot cheaper for a near new one why not for me its price v's gain. i try and find bargins. 2k for nismo plenum, wouldn't buy. 1k for nismo plenum now we are talking
-
interesting because nismo state it helps low end response (increase response throughout the rev range) if price is right looks like i pick it up

interested to see your results, everything i read about ARC bars were they were top quality stuff. Wasn't need on adjustable bars in the beginning but this was cheap so i through i give it a shot and see how it performed -
bumping any old topic, Has anyone used one yet? im debating if it is worth it, not so worry about the cost. Just want to know if it does have any gains over a std plenum. The car its going on is a track car with the goal of responds if that makes a difference. My plenum is coming off to install my map sensors, so was thinking it would be a good time to swap over

i use the performance box, very easy to setup and used. only problem i found is that to setup splits etc on the lap, you need to drive around the lap and press the button on the box everytime you want a split, which is kind of hard to do if there is aheap of guys racing on the track at the same time. However once its setup its good to go! you can save the split/track and just load it up everytime you need it. The new software that comes with it is pretty awesome, i use google map and trace out the local track so it can show you your lines. google map was abit off but you can adjust it with the software. has lots of features so you can see were your accelerating, braking etc etc here are some screenshot i took, 1st one is comparing my lap to my friends lap (just put the box in his car and off he went) this is the race line trace on the track

agree i guess it all comes down to money!
-
im not worry about korea! India on the other hand! if its anything like the commonwealth games, im sure there will be potholes in the track lol
