  6. hey, i had a similar problem, mine was a ticking/knocking sound as i rev the engine it would get faster also. i take it to my mech and it happen to be that that the gasket of the manifold and slip off (like half of it was over the hole) and that was making the sound. my friend also had a similar problem and it was also the gasket. i've been told its a common problem in r33
  7. Hey John What turbos/cams are you running? from the photos on the website looks like your running one hardcore nos setup (or may i mistaken have been before hehe ) edit: just found the photo of the T51r NICE what type is it? edit2: HKS coilovers nice, are they the drag spec ones? are you still using stock displacment or have you stroke the 25 out?
  8. f**k thats one crazy r33 i love the c/f work done, that dash looks awsome Good luck with the setup, i would love to see some video of this mosnter (sp) when its up and running

  11. is your bov atmopsher venting? (what brand is it) hmm, im pretty sure u can get away with the neons
  12. unlucky dude 2 options take off the stuff (swap bov for stock) then go over the pits. or just go over the pits and see what they say, if you can see your neon tubes they should be legal cheers michael
  13. i have a similar problem. and i have found the problem. at 1st i through it was an grounding issue so me and my dad cut the wirers and added some more hardcore ones and change the grounding point.. but this solved nothing i think found it was the little red fuse box. i found that the fuses inside had become loses, so i push them in and it fix the problem for abit but now i have a issue with the wiring going into the red fuse box, if one of my headlights go out i just open the bonnet and move those wired just alittle bit and it comes back on straight away. Also when one looks brighter than the other, its cuz its not getting full power, which i found in my case is the fuses and the wiring into the little fuse box. I havn't fit the problem but what i will be doing is getting a better fuse box, one which clips the fuses in better and redoing the wiring into the fuse box hope this can help your problem here is a photo of the problem I've almost find that the problem has increased due to my bumpy coilovers cheers michael p.s i have the same HID kit, as you damono
  14. hey dude i would like to do something similar with my R33. i've been looking at copy the design that the HKS s15 D1 car had, but i am unable to find anyone that can make the decal for me or draw something up similar. if you find a good printer in perth send us a pm heres a pic of the design im looking at getting
  15. i keep hitting a wall when i think about AL and turbo failure. I've seen 1st hand, my friends wrx running antilag for over a year without a problem or turbo failure. now he didnt run it all the time but he did run it a fair bit. Im not saying that it wont cause wear.... just seems like the wrx/evo seem to be ok running it
  16. thanks brett let us know how it goes if you end up hooking it up. looks like i might have to invest in a good temp gauge ps im the dude that bought ur plates i think antilag and evl go together
  17. BeeR item, has problems running with a PFC something to do with grounding issues but i think they may have fix this problem. can be had for under $400
  18. WHAT is a t3/4 turbo?
  19. thanks for the reply steve change my mind once again, it will be going on now I understand antilag isnt really needed on the turbo, but its a nice extra and i've already bought it now manily uses it for drag/track uses and i do that once i month if im lucky. im hoping with only running it a few mins a month everything should hold up
  20. is this a common problem steve with increase heat in the engine bay? can it be fix with using an aftermarket Stainless Steel Manifold like HKS (not a chinacopy one) hmm might have to look at adding an vent near the turbo on the bonnet
  21. would something like an Exhaust Housing Blanket, be a good idea for the turbo? or would that keep the heat in and result in the heat staying on the turbo for longer after the car has cooled down. the turbo comes with a HKS heat-shield i put that one for sure
  22. thanks for the reply FATGTS-R I didnt really think about heat management will have to look into that alot before running AL. I will be running stock manifold, which is cast-iron should hold up. I might do some testing around the track, do 1 or 2laps pull in check the temp in the engine bay. or even better i might setup the reading in the car then make alonger cable to the metal stick can stay in the engine bay so i can watch the temp. thanks again for the reply fatgts-r you given me abit to think about thanks michael
  23. evor, is very close to wheelspool (sp) pits
  24. hey, I’m looking for anyone who has some, experience with running anti-lag with an aftermarket turbo. It doesn’t have to be an RB engine. My many question is, how much does anti-lag reduce an aftermarket turbo life-span. Now the anti-lag won't be running 24/7, mainly for track uses only (so it would be uses once a month) and many the odd, time off the track for say a few min's at a time. Now i know that even if its running for 30second, the amount of heat on the turbo will be at extreme level (i picuter it as alittle bomb going off in the turbo), but would this do much damage to an aftermarket turbo? I notice alot of wrx/evo running it (and have seen more than a handful of wrx running it on the street now and then) what makes their turbo so different to something that you would find on a rb engine? My application is an Rb25 with hks turbo (gt2835pros) if that makes a difference? any help would be welcomed thanks michael
