thanks for that funky i've been checking out some of the auction in the area which the person i am importing through uses, and their are alot of ae86 but as you said the auction sheet always mention rust... only problem i have seen is that there arnt many dr30 for sale

hey adam, where do you get most of your parts from? do you have to soruce them from japan or can u get them from nissan? (im not general parts which wear over time) and thankyou everyone else for the reply

Hi, Im looking at getting a daily driver, with the option to turn it into a track-car later on (2years+) I am looking at getting a Dr30 or AE86 (jdm not aus spec). Basicly im looking at the cost to run both cars and how hard it is to find parts for them? I know with the 86 you can go to your toyota dealer and get parts from them and find parts here very easy but im not sure about the dr30. any input would be nice ohh what what type of fuel would i need to run in the fj20? bp98? thanks michael

i just hit up the drags a few weeks back, my car is an r33 with stock turbo (0.8bar of boost), hks-cat back, trust front pipe, stock dump, air filter + cai, fmic, ebc and coilovers. (car is kindof setup for drift, suspension wise, the rear was abit bumpy off the line and down the track) and i was running 13.854 second Terminal speed: 102.26mph / 165.15kph Reaction Time: 0.230 60' - 2.261 330' - 5.983 660' - 9.038 660' Speed - 130.69kph 1000' - 11.643 i suck at launch thou, 2000,2500rpm :

i had a similar problem, idle would jump around... i fix it by changing my coilpacks

umm ok... im not saying 319rwhp is possable... but why have many not just one or two, rb25 run between 280-300rwhp on stock turbo? just because ur r34 didnt make it, doesnt mean its not possable for another rb25 power cars to do it

if you can make it gtr inside (s3 style above) in gtst housing, i would be down for it 100%, even s2 look in a s1 housing would be good too

S3 gtr would be hard to get, and they you would have to change the shape to suit a gtst (as the headlight is wider on the gtr to suit the guards) They cost around $1,000 too.... thats abit of money to put up front without knowing you will get it back

here we go i would buy a set for $400 if the style was like this

yeah thats cool, understand its abit $$$. (i bought some 4dr s1 r33 headlights chrome inside, for around $200 but that was from japan) I think you will get heaps of orders if you do a S3 GTR copy, i get some photo of the headlights for you

ohh and for price, my mate got something similar for his accord and pay $400 for both the front and the rear lights so somewhere between $200 and $400 i say would be good

i would be up for a projector set (similar if not the same style as the s3 gtr headlights)

hmm depends on the overall condtion of the car itself. my r33 has 130,000km and drives as good as the day i bought it (90,000km) and its a 1993 Maybe get a compression test or leak down test done on the engine if you are undersure about the condtion of it (that is if ur interested in buying it after you seen it)

Hi, Im looking at buying a dr30 skyline, and so far i havn't had any luck finding any in australia. i was thinking about importing one. I've check yahoo auction and USS Auto Auction and notice there arnt many for sale but the ones for sale seem to look ok. My question is what cost am im looking at getting it reg for the road. do i have to do any SEVS stuff because of its age do i just do a few things? Im new to importing as i bought my r33 localy, is it best to go to a person to import the car or can i do most of the work myself? thanks michael
