Bnr32 Track Build
Kaido_RR replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
need some info regarding my rear brake setup Post that in the brake section as i think i will get more replys Here are some photos of the caliper, and disc (compare to std ones), what i am worry about is they look like they are normally used on the front of a car edit: some more information about the caliper piston diameters are:26 and 28 -
Hi, Just after some information to see if it is worth upgrading the rear brake setup on a r32 gtr (non-brembo). Currently have AP Racing CP5200 Fronts (4pot, 333 disc), App braided brake lines Front and Back, Std Master and nismo brake master stopper. Have found a Brembo 4pot kit for the rear, runs a 330 disc (same disc as the v36). the Caliper is a brembo monobloc 4 piston uses the pads from a F40 Brembo (so i am assuming its similar to f40 or an f40 caliper), comes with std brembo pads, brackets and bolts The Car is a track car. Will this upgrade upset the balance of the braking with such a large caliper on the rear (pretty much the same size as my front calipers). im assuming that i will be able to run the std gtr master cylinder and it should handle it ok? Cheers edit: some more information about the caliper piston diameters are:26 and 28

17inch rims not an issue for my ap setup as only runs a 333 disc. thanks for the info on offset etc, if lower offset is not needed they i stay with the +20ish area and 9inch -

do you have a boost gauge? if you are running 16psi you should be getting anywhere between 300-350rwhp PM-R33 im assuming the gt-rs is like the gt2835 and that the actuator is adjustable if so the tuner could have turn it down to 10psi if the fuel pump isn't working. Luthor666, no one can give you a direct asnwer on here as they didn't tune the car best if your not happy is to ring up tuesday and ask what is the go what they tune it for? what psi and why it is not making much power they will be able to tell you what is the go. failing that just take it to another workshop, however a working fuel pump and ebc is a minimal if you want to push some high numbers. HKS rating on the GT-RS is 400 or 420PS, 400hp = 298.4kw, which is really push the turbo and i dont know if it would make it. If you really want the figure try 22psi and see what happens lol
-
your boost levels are no where near, were they should be. GT-RS will not start making power until 16psi anything below that is just pointless. Get yourself a proper boost controller and put it back on the dyno and tune for more boost is you want 400hp you will need to push 20-22psi (upper limits of the turbo) however i would aim for 350rwhp. Also depending on how much dyno time your car needed that is normal amount of fuel, remember when its on the dyno its FULL power runs so you do use abit of fuel
-
what boost were you running GT-RS is good for 350-400hp depending on supporting mods. you should be around the 350rwhp @ 16-18 psi depending on how health your engine is. also when you tune a car it does use fuel, hence if you come with a full tank you should pick it up with a half a tank or around that
-
if anything why don't you ask if you can take your car and have it for the weekend and bring it back monday. you fuel pump may have been dieing, but just never notice it cuz the amount of power you were running was std now that they are trying to push more power it may be showing signs of dieing
-
change your pump if its not pumping the amount of fuel you need! walbro pumps are shit, is it a real or copy walbro? had a mates walbro pump die on his evo (less than 6months old) Also Sard injectors are common for not being a bolt in injector the the RB, not sure what is the issue was regarding the plugs? i know sard injectors need collars to fit. Also the issue regarding the boost controller is correct. the GT-RS has an adjustable actuator so you can set base boost with that but then that is all you will get (i think they can go 12-16psi) Final Also if your not happy go in pay them pick the car up and take it to another workshop but the chances are they are telling you what is going on with the car and you will get a similar responds from another workshop

Quick Just regarding cooling? will the std intercooler and radiator be able to handle 400-450hp ? is there any gains in upgrading to aftermarket? been looking at nismo and arc gear, (second hand not brand new) -
