yeah those 1st 3 are the ones you said to get, i was just going to buy the 10's for shit and giggles to see if they were any good, however if im lucky the springs that come with my coilovers might already be 10's have you compare eibach to swifts? hmm now to find a shock dyno in perth, i remember i had a similar problem when trying to get my tein ra on a shock dyno the price i was roughly quote was something crazy. I'm debating if i should have the quantums O/H (revalue) in japan before i sent them to perth, If i remember right quantum charges around 100,000yen to do a complete O/H -

hmm time to buy gauges... tossing up between 3x defi racer gauges (52mm), 2x temp (oil, water) and 1x pressure or defi 3 din gauge im pretty sure i will be able to fit the 3x racer gauges in the std din spot price is about the same around $657 for the racer gauges and similar price i think $650 for the 3 din Also after alot of reading and researching i have decide to go with swift springs. from everything i have read they seems to be the top rated spring and come highly recommend from race teams in the uk. It also seems like you can get away with a higher spring rate with swift springs due to their design, so looks like i might be buying 4 pairs of springs (6, 7.5, 8 and 10) -

i would take you up in a second, but i have a feeling your not in perth In your honest opinion were do you think im going wrong? Atm the plan is not to change any suspension arms, just new set of coilovers (as the current spring and shock combo is Shockley hard, front adjustment doesn't work and rather large knocking sounds from the rear struts) I will be going with Quantum T5-RS coilovers with unknown swift springs plus assist springs on the rear (again unknown rate) so first think i will do once they arrive is remove the springs and replace them with something i know the values of, i will be using swift springs but as i mention im not 100% sure on the rate i will use was looking at the 6/8 region? Do gtr required a higher or lower front spring? What i do later on is up to how well the car goes. i want to run constant before i start changing this that and everything else, as i have no gtr experience, all my driving at the track in the pst 4years was a gts-t which was pretty simple to drive. For sure i want to run I.k gear etc but i have a feeling i will be making things alot harder for myself if i take huge jumps in the beginning. aiming to have around 350-400hp with the BCNR33 N1 turbos if that matters edit: i know from page to page things seem to change but at this stage im set on just going with a basic setup and running constant times before i start changing everything -

Thats the plan, its a shame the owner doesnt know the spring rate of the coilover and being in japan there is no way of me finding out till i get them. The plan is to go swift 6/8 and then try to work out what is the go with the assist springs on the front, im assuming something small like 2 or 3 would be best suited ??? -

im not discounting anyone advice, hence why im starting with 6/8 combo. i personally was just going to go with 10/10 and be happy with that. but after starting this topic and reading people input i through i start lower and see how that goes, i don't plan to change anytime soon but once the car is at the level i want it and i have constant lap times i will see what affect a higher spring rate does to my lap time. As i have yet to find any information regarding running spring rate A v's spring rate B -

Sorry my mistake they come with Assist Springs Just because i wish to run 10/10 doesn't make them crazy spring rates, what i am worry about is that the spring rates will be in the 15 region as its not uncommon to run such rates in japan. I understand that the general thinking is that 10/10 will be too stiff. However i have good experience with those spring rates in my r33 track car and will be testing similar rates out in the gtr. I plan to start with 6/8 combo however i need to do some reading on this Assist spring and select the correct rate for that combo. If 8/6 doesn't work i will move to 8/10 etc etc till i find the right setup for my gtr -

does anyone know how to determine the spring rate of a spring? i have just purchase a set of coilovers to start off with, however they have had their springs swap for some swifts springs and the owner doesn't know the rate -
so does that mean i need to get 34 o2 sensors?
-
Hi Just need to confirm if tomei r34 gtr dumps fit an r32 gtr? i'm pretty sure they are the same just the r34 has a hole for a sensor or something?

Be interested to see engine spec. From what i can find on the net about j- groupa was that they were limited to 500ps. And std displacment. Did they just run n1 turbos?

Thanks did some looking looks like you need to tap some fitting onto cylinder 3 and 4 in the plenum. So now just need to wait till i get my hks afmless pipe and blitz ebc (id3) and see it off toget a tune. Atm i increase boost to 1bar (bleed valve) and the cars feels alot better still laggy but pulls harder might just keep the n1 turbos for the moment and see what sort of times i xan get at the track
